Phillip Figa
Phillip S. Figa was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. He was nominated by President George W. Bush on June 9, 2003. Figa served until his death on January 5, 2008.[1]
Education
Figa received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1973 and his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1976.[1]
Professional career
Figa spent his legal career in private practice in Denver, Colorado.[1]
Judicial career
District of Colorado
Figa was nominated by President George W. Bush on June 9, 2003, to a seat vacated by Judge Richard Matsch. Figa was confirmed by the Senate on October 2, 2003, and received commission on October 6, 2003. He served until his death on January 5, 2008.[1] Figa was succeeded in this position by Judge R. Brooke Jackson.
