But what shocked me recently was the video I discovered some time ago, and when I recalled it, it struck me like a lightning.

In the video, a young researcher prooves that the masoretic text – the basis for european bible translations – has been tampered with. The ages of the patriarchs (Shem’s descendants) have been reduced, overall by 650 years. What does it mean? If we were to extrapolate the age of the earth using that information, we’d get a 650 years shorter timeline. What’s more interesting, 3 other copies – the Greek Septuagint, Samaritan Pentateuch and Flavius Josephus all have the correct timelines – 650 years longer.

The latest copy of the masoretic text is believed to be from the XI century.

Now think about it. On one hand, the source material for western bibles had a change in it which reduced the chronology by 650 years, and also you have the situation where we find out that there’s 700 phantom years in our official historical account. Isn’t that interesting? I think it’s way too much of a coincidence for different groups of researchers to find out that the official timeline is both 700 too long and 650 years too short.
