What about globally? My point was not that nuclear and renewables already have dominant market share world wide. My point was that it is POSSIBLE economically and as a practical physical issue to have nuclear and renewables meet most of your energy needs AS SHOWN by these various examples.

As for hundreds of years from now, I don't understand your point/question. OBVIOUSLY, there's no way for me to know what the market share of nuclear and renewables will be hundreds of now. What's the point of even asking me that? You seem to act like your question is an "aha!" that magically debunks nuclear and renewables. If so, why? My view is that unless immigration and birthrate differentials bury high-IQ white and East Asian countries under a flood of low-IQ types and destroy modern civilization, it is probably inevitable that fossil fuels will be replaced by nuclear and renewables out of sheer necessity given that fossil fuels are inherently finite and that the expense of extracting and refining them will continue to grow and likely outpace the ability of technological improvements to mitigate those costs. Not to mention the macro-economic and geo-strategic costs of being stuck on oil as the only way to move given the very uneven world wide presence of oil deposits. Finally global warming.

Simply mentioning that the climate is ALWAYS shifting one way or another, anyone familiar with electronics -> analog signals and the interaction of different frequencies knows that the overall trend over centuries is not always described by this year - next year.

And I still have an old copy of "Cosmos" where there's a whole chapter (and likely tv episode) about global cooling.

Yes, there was a brief flurry (ahem) of media hype about global cooling in the mid/late 70s. But that was because even by then global warming had already been well-understood, explained, observed, and predicted for decades. So "global cooling" was unexpected, counter-intuitive, interesting -- in other words a "man bites dog" story that could and did sell papers and magazines at the newsstand and get ratings on the air. But even then, at the height of the "global cooling" hype, in the actual scientific research papers, papers claiming or predicting "global cooling" were still outnumbered by global warming by over six to one. And these days, "global cooling" is as dead as the single-galaxy universe -- something that decades or generations ago might have had some legitimate scientific support and discussion behind it but not anymore due to overwhelming evidence.

So that's why the whole "but they used to talk about global cooling" trope is not a valid reason to deny global warming.

But that was because even by then global warming had already been well-understood, explained, observed, and predicted for decades. So "global cooling" was unexpected, counter-intuitive, interesting -- in other words a "man bites dog" story that could and did sell papers and magazines at the newsstand and get ratings on the air. But even then, at the height of the "global cooling" hype, in the actual scientific research papers, papers claiming or predicting "global cooling" were still outnumbered by global warming by over six to one. And these days, "global cooling" is as dead as the single-galaxy universe -- something that decades or generations ago might have had some legitimate scientific support and discussion behind it but not anymore due to overwhelming evidence.

So that's why the whole "but they used to talk about global cooling" trope is not a valid reason to deny global warming.

Perhaps the most accurate and concisely worded explanation of Jewish behavior I've ever read.
