Francis Ford
Francis Joseph William Ford (1882-1975) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He joined the court in 1938 after an appointment from Franklin Delano Roosevelt. At the time of appointment, he was a U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. On July 1, 1972, he assumed senior status, serving in this capacity until his death on May 26, 1975.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments
District of Massachusetts
Ford was nominated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on June 9, 1938 to a seat created by 52 Stat. 584. He was confirmed by the Senate on June 15th, and received commission on June 24th. On July 1, 1972, he assumed senior status, serving in this capacity until his death on May 26, 1975. Ford was succeeded by Joseph Tauro.[1]
