James Morrison – ‘Beautiful Life’ vierde single van nieuw album

Vandaag brengt de Britse zanger James Morrison zijn single ‘Beautiful Life’ uit. Dit is de vierde single van de nieuwe plaat ‘ The Awakening‘ die in herfst 2011 uit kwam bij Universal Music.

Een paar maanden geleden speelde James Morrison nog in een uitverkocht Amsterdam. Daar kwamen veel  bekende hits voorbij. Waaronder ‘Slave To The Music‘ de eerste single van ‘The Awakening‘ die goud haalde.

Inmiddels tourde de zanger door heel Europa. Om deze zomer op vele festivals te spelen. Daarvan is Hampton Court Palace Festival wel erg bijzonder in  Engeland. In de tuinen van dit beroemde kasteel speelt Morrison voor tweeduizend muziekliefhebbers.

Binnenkort is de soul zanger terug met een optreden op Pinkpop (zondag 27 mei) en bij North Sea Jazz  op zaterdag 7 juli in Rotterdam. De line-up daarvan is inmiddels compleet. Kaarten voor North Sea Jazz zijn nog in de verkoop.

Hampton Court Palace Festival – anniversary with John Barrowman

The line-up for the twentieth anniversary of  Hampton Court Palace Festival is more complete. Multi talent John Barrowman is confirmed as closure of the evening on Sunday 24th June.

John Barrowman is a singer, actor and TV personality. Also well known for his West End musical roles in ‘Anything Goes’, ’Miss Saigon’ and ‘Phantom of the Opera.’ And hosting his own BBCentertainment show ‘Tonight’s The Night.’

After the phenomenal success of four solo albums and accompanying tours, John returns to the concert stage, making Hampton Court Palace Festival his only London appearance this year. With a full band and dancers, John Barrowman will provide a spectacular finale birthday celebrations.

The Hampton Court Palace Festival is renowned for creating a truly unforgettable experience. Artists perform in the main courtyard of the magnificent Tudor Palace providing an intimate atmosphere for an audience of 3,000. Corporate hospitality is available in the State Apartments and Festival-goers can also arrive early and enjoy a delicious picnic in the stunning palace gardens.

Hampton Court Palace is situated only a few minutes walk from Hampton Court Station; a direct line to and from London Waterloo. There are two direct trains per hour from London Waterloo. Which take 40 minutes, leaving at 06 minutes and 36 minutes past the hour.

Hampton Court Palace Festival – Katie Melua, Caro Emerald first highlights on twentieth anniversary

Hampton Court Palace Festival revealed the first artists for the twentieth edition. Katie Melua, Caro Emerald, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, and  Jools Holland will perform for three thousand visitors each night.

Tickers are on sale since Thursday. This special event takes place from Wednesday 13th until Saturday 24th June 2012.

The palace ground in Surrey,London will be welcoming a wide variety world-class artists from classical through to pop.

Ten days of picnics, spectacular fireworks in an overwhelming atmosphere in the courtyard of King Henry VIII’s Palace. Over those twenty years many respectful artists performed on this festival. Last year Bryan Adams impressed the crowd, followed by James Blunt. Also Elton John, Eric Clapton, Andrea Bocelli, and Art Garfunkel to name  a few.

Having sold over 11 million albums Katie Melua is one of Britain’s most successful artists of the last decade. Songs like ‘Closest Thing To Crazy’ and ‘Nine Million Bicycles’ are unforgettable. In her impressive career to date she has notched up several world tours and numerous industry awards. Katie will be performing songs from her new album ‘Secret Symphony’ due out on March 5th.

Dutch proud is Caro Emerald, touring the world with ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor.’ This album went platinum featuring hits such as ‘Back It Up’, ‘A Night Like This’ and ‘That Man’. Caro’s repertoire features an original infusion of ballroom jazz, cinematic tangos, groovin’ jazz and infectious mambos reminiscent of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

Musical hero and rock-‘n’-roll icon Frankie Valli brings his live show to the UK after a twenty year break. Eagerly awaited return to tgive fans a chance to hear many of the classic hits that the band had. Songs loved by all such as: ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, ‘Walk Like A Man’, ‘Beggin’’, ‘Rag Doll’, ‘Let’s Hang On’ and ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You’.

Now a veteran of the Hampton Court Palace Music Festival, Jools Holland will once again provide a highlight. Jools’s name has become synonymous with quality music, and his reputation for working with only the finest musicians, newly emerging and classic acts, is without equal. Accompanied by his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

Hampton Court Palace Festival – international stars performing in a special setting

This June, Hampton Court Palace Festival returns with a wonderful line up of legendary music artists from the Rock, Pop, Jazz and Classical world.

Historic Royal Palaces and PWR Events are delighted to announce the artists confirmed to perform in the stunning open-air court of King Henry VIII’s Palace from 8th – 18th June 2011.

The final line-up comprises of; international rock icon Bryan Adams (SOLD OUT) who will perform songs from his critically acclaimed acoustic CD Bare Bones, Westlife who will be bringing their Gravity tour to the Palace, and Festival favourite Jools Holland, who will return with His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra featuring Gilson Lavis with special guest star Sandie Shaw and guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall.

Kerry Ellis, billed as one of the most thrilling vocal talents on today’s West End stage will join forces with founding member of Queen, legendary rock icon Brian May to perform Anthems at Hampton Court. The Australian Pink Floyd has also been added to the bill. Heralded by The Times as “perfect in just about every way”, with quadraphonic sound, 3d visuals and brand new laser and light show, the band imitates the magic of Pink Floyd.

James Blunt, will make his debut appearance at the Festival, as will America’s legendary singer-songwriter, Don McLean forever associated with American Pie and Vincent (Starry, Starry Night). Simple Minds and ex-Beatle, Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band will treat Festival goers to an array of timeless classics.

Alfie Boe will headline the Festival Finale & Fireworks and will be joined by soprano Natasha Marsh and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra all under the watchful eye of Conductor Richard Balcombe.

In a mixed programme from his repertoire, Alfie will delight the audience with both Classical pieces and show stoppers such as Bring Him Home from Les Miserables, Some Enchanted Evening from South Pacific and On the Street Where You Live from My Fair Lady. Bringing the 2011 Festival to a rousing finish, guests will also be treated to a stunning display of spectacular fireworks over the River Thames.
