Celebrate the holidays at The Etsy Market! Every year the Vancouver Etsy Collective pulls together a selection of the Vancouver area’s local makers and gather together to put on local events. Things couldn’t go as planned for 2020, but our sellers are good at getting creative. With the help of Etsy, we were able to organized our first virtual market to help you find some truly great gifts. Explore their unique items, meet the makers, and most importantly, get into the holiday spirit.

How did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop? “...and then again' has a couple of
interpretations. First, the vintage silverware that we use can be transformed in multiple ways. Secondly, we are making the vintage silverware Fork Covid' Hand-Stamped, Vintage Silver-Plated Forks

Adornation Jewellery Shop Why did you start your Etsy shop? “I started my Etsy shop as a way to connect with shoppers from around the world, and to have a place to share new designs”
What’s your favorite medium to work with? “Reticulated silver. It has slightly more copper than traditional sterling silver, but looks, wears, and is cared for in the same ways as sterling. This extra copper content allows me to dramatically manipulate the surface texture using a torch to create one of a kind organic textures that I then incorporate into Adornation Jewellery designs.”

LanaBetty Shop Why did you start your Etsy shop? “When I first started with Etsy, I was still learning the ropes of jewelry design and I loved how connected I was to the entire Etsy community. It made converting my hobby into a business fun and relatable, because so many others were too. I had a passion for design and Etsy made it possible for me to share my story.”
Where do you make your items? “I have a small studio in the heart of Gastown, Vancouver. For a long time I worked from a desk in my bedroom, and then upgraded to a half of a room in my apartment. Even after I made the leap to take LanaBetty full-time in 2015, I didn't branch out to get my own studio space until 2017. I have never felt so Gravity Hoop Earrings in all three available sizes and finishes.

How did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop? “Funny story actually, my name is Lana and my (now passed) long haired, 22lb, white maine coon cat was named Betty. In highschool we were strongly discouraged from using our last names in our email Little Brass Earrings, Lightning Bolts, Horseshoes, and Crosses
addresses (what if someone could FIND YOU?); and so I chose LanaBetty. When I started my Etsy, I thought it would be really fitting to name my business after my affectionate and adorable cat, Betty. At the time, my brand was very cutesy, adorable, and pastel. It all fit so well. Fast forward ten years and now I can never change my name! I have become LanaBetty. Customers know me as LB. I love the identity I have created for myself that also pays tribute to that adorable cat who gave me so much.”
