DIBELS Data Acquisition Instructions


Step 1 Visit dibels.uoregon.edu and click “Login� in the top right corner of the page



Step 2

Once logged in, click on “Reports� in the top center of the page.



Step 3 Click on “Export” under the “Data Farming” section of the page.



Step 4 In the “Data Farming” page, set the scope to “District” using the drop-down box provided.



Step 5 After selecting your scope , enter your district name in the box provided. Then proceed to choose your district, select a single grade (i.e. Kindergarten) and your desired starting year in the grid below the “Scope:” and “District:” boxes. Then click continue.



Step 6 Match all of your selections with those shown in the picture below. Be sure to export only one period and grade at a time, and export as a Comma Separated file (.csv), as shown in the picture below. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each grade level you’d like to export.



Step 7 In the “Analysis” window, click the checkboxes for “Benchmark Statuses”, “Outcome Measure”, “Assessment Dates”, and “National DDS Percentiles”, and click continue



Step 8 Make sure your “Data Preview� column titles match those pictured in the image below.



Step 9 Click “Download Full Dataset” underneath the “Data Preview” window.



Step 10 Once you have downloaded all your files (one per term tested; e.g. fall 2019, winter 2019, spring 2020), upload the well named file you created in step 9 to us via MMARS’ integrated upload utility. Click here for a video tutorial
