This research analysed the relationship between photographing and tourist experience, and evaluated its implications on the visitors’ post-visit behavioural intentions. Using data collected from international first-time Caucasian visitors to The Forbidden City in Beijing, China, the study performed in the first stage CFA of Hosany and Gilbert’s (2010) Destination Emotional Scale to confirm the validity of the 15-dimensional construct. One-way ANOVA and SEM were then used to determine the factors leading to emotional experience and to assess the effects of photographing on various aspects of the visitors’ encounter with the cultural attraction. Drawing on a survey with 804 valid returns, study findings reveal that photographing tends to influence the visitors’ emotional experience and to negatively affect their perception towards a place. SEM results further confirmed that photographing does not only influence the individual model constructs examined in this study, but also to a certain extent their relationship to each other.

This article traces the radical devaluation of the phantasm throughout Western civilization. With the help of Nietzsche's critical perspective, I develop a notion of hystery as the series of collective traumas repeated in each individual's growth, whereby the phantasm changes value from psychosomatic interface, to evil incarnate, to disease of learning. Beginning with the Classical episteme represented by Plato, Aristotle, and the Stoics, then moving up through the Christian era, I focus primarily on Enlightenment thinkers such as Hobbes and Bacon, who represent the last nail in the imagination's coffin. The next section examines Nietzsche's rediscovery of the phantasm and the theoretical contributions of post-structuralism that follow in Nietzsche's wake. Juxtaposing Bataille and Deleuze, I look at Deleuze's early enthusiasm and ultimate betrayal of the phantasm, and I posit Bataille's emphasis on the affective force of the mythological phantasm as an insurrection to reclaim our experience and life along with it. The article ends with speculation, offering Bruno's art of memory as an ontic and epistemic alternative to dominant Western hystery, other pasts opening to other possible futures, an ungrounding that paradoxically leads to a restoration of the human house in a re-enchanted cosmos.

La mobilité ne cesse de se développer (Appadurai, 2001), marquée
par des immersions de courtes ou de longue durée (expatriations,
séjours humanitaires ou touristiques, formation à l’étranger) où les
acteurs sociaux ont de plus en plus l’occasion de comparer leurs
expériences (scolaires, étudiantes, sociales, professionnelles). Après le
questionnement des évaluations internationales du numéro 7
d’Education comparée, ce volume propose une autre façon de conduire
des recherches en éducation comparée, à partir d’une comparaison des
expériences. Mais celle-ci n’est pas sans poser des questions
méthodologiques et épistémologiques et la comparabilité des
expériences est à construire (Robin, 1994). Comment comparer ?
Quelles précautions méthodologiques et épistémologiques les
chercheurs doivent-ils prendre lorsqu’ils engagent ce type de
chantier ? L’enjeu est ainsi la mise en place en éducation comparée de
méthodologies permettant d’« allier approche comparatiste et
questionnement sociologique » (Peyronie, 2011 : 70) continuant « de
relayer la tradition de la recherche critique en sciences humaines »
(Peyronie, 2011 : 68).

Education systems and its actors are generally responding to quarantine and large-scale shutdown (partial) of cities with a sudden shift to Web-Based Learning. However, given that a pandemic of this nature and scale is novel, there is a knowledge gap as to how teachers and learners should respond to the shift, and what the likely impact and the key considerations should be. This study aims to extrapolate and theorize from the existing knowledgebase about the use of Web-Based Learning, as well as from an expert and practitioner wisdom and experience, to offer high-level guidance for policymakers and education system actors that are forced to make decisions in fast-moving and very challenging circumstances with little guidance or relevant experience. Social acceleration may be described through the analogy of software updates. That is, updating to the latest requires some sort of forgetting of the former. This article argues that knowledge is increasingly severed from learning and thinking, following Bauman's (2005) insight that contemporary society no longer produces a culture of learning but rather a culture of forgetting, disengagement and discontinuity. First, I will review the development of the knowledge society and its promise, which social acceleration will let us forget that the same promise is still pending in contemporary discourse. Then I will address the problem of disengagement, or fear of involvement, which consequently alters the relation people have with each other and learning. Discontinuity is when society loses its connection with its past and future alternatives. Time ceases to be inscribed in duration to become scattered moments, drifting loose with the relentless overflow of information. However, learning takes time; it is a built-in property that was also forgotten alongside the 'updating' of the contemporary conceptions of knowledge. One needs time to think and connect what was, what is and what could be to foster imagination and creativity, to figure out that society could be otherwise and become an object of critique, and most importantly, an object of involvement and learning.

The present paper deals with the evaluation of Prešeren's verse in the context of school readers. The current trend in the pedagogy of literature in the criteria for selecting literary texts for high-school readers is to consider receptional and literary historical principles. A study of the evaluative measures of three leading specialists in Prešeren in the second half of the twentieth century shows that despite important differences among them, literary historians mostly appreciate the formally most complex and most demanding texts from the middle period of Prešeren's Romantic opus. Although students are influenced by the literary historical principle, they prefer Prešeren's formally simpler and less demanding poems, especially those with a plot, easier to comprehend, and yielding a full experience of the work.

Razprava v povezavi s šolskim izborom Prešernovih pesmi obravnava problem vrednotenja Prešernovih pesmi. Sodobna didaktika književnosti pri izboru leposlovnih besedil v srednješolskih berilih priporoča predvsem upoštevanje recepcijskega in literarnozgodovinskega načela. Raziskava vrednotenjskih meril treh vodilnih prešernoslovcev druge polovice 20. stoletja prinaša spoznanje, da kljub temu, da med njimi obstajajo tudi pomembne razlike, literarni zgodovinarji najviše vrednotijo predvsem formalno zapletene in recepcijsko zahtevne pesmi iz osrednjega obdobja Prešernove romantike. Čeprav se tudi pri dijakih pozna vpliv literarnozgodovinskega načela, ti najviše vrednotijo formalno preprostejše in recepcijsko manj zahtevne Prešernove pesmi, predvsem tiste, ki imajo zgodbo, so laže razumljive in omogočajo polno doživljanje.

In this paper, we review the use of virtual and augmented reality technologies for capture and externalization of tacit knowledge from complex activity in knowledge-intensive professions. We focus on technologies for converting experience hidden in activity with the aim to boost industry competitiveness, innovation, and facilitate learning on the job. As such types of knowledge and experience are difficult to capture and represent in traditional media, we explore emerging technology along two lines of investigation. First, we look at applications of virtual reality to then, second, focus on using sensors, augmented reality, and wearable technologies. We discuss existing and future applications of experience capturing with virtual and augmented reality technologies. This review provides a comprehensive overview for those interested in recording virtual, real, and augmented activities, methods for delivering the recorded data, and extracting knowledge.

This collection pieces together a wealth of material in order to get inside the experience of scientific practice in the long nineteenth century. It aims to reach, or perhaps to facilitate, an understanding of the ways in which the value of scientific knowledge was produced, lived and challenged. The new turn to the history of experience suggests a logic to the compilation of material that is completely original: the sources are not selected according to the historical success of an idea or experiment, but for the ways in which scientific endeavour loaded knowledge claims with political or moral value, coupled with attendant practical justifications. Thus, ‘bad ideas’ sit alongside ‘good’; now discountenanced practices take their place among the revered. In sum, they reveal an experimental culture that was not merely orientated toward cold knowledge or intellectual output, but defined by shifting sets of affective practices and procedures and the making of expertise out of the lived experience of doing science.
The collection hinges on an etymological overlap, between experiment, expertise and experience, which all emphasise the practical component of scientific discovery: ex – out of, periri – to go through. Expertise is the product of experiment: it comes out of having undergone something. Experience captures the whole process, tying knowledge to activity. This overlap is essentially definitive of the culture of scientific knowledge production in this period, which nevertheless underwent extraordinary changes along ethical, professional, theoretical, practical, intellectual, social and technological lines. The sources presented here aim to capture those shifts and to emphasise the extent to which the experimental impetus necessitated innovation not only from the point of view of technique, but also in the ways knowledge bearers defined their value, and with it the value of knowledge itself.
The first three volumes are divided according to moral themes within medicine and science. They represent three dominant notes within the culture of knowledge production that capture the moral/emotional/social justification for the making of expertise through experiment. The first volume focuses on curiosity, given as the scientist’s chief motivating factor for the finding of new facts, and as an essential character trait for anyone entering the scientific life. It is also the source of controversy and criticism, since curiosity alone increasingly looked amoral at best and immoral at worst, as the nineteenth century wore on. The second volume foregrounds humanity (in the sense of compassion or sympathy), which often supplied the motivation for medical experiment and scientific innovation. Though the results of experiments could not be known in advance, often the stated goal was the reduction of suffering, the cure of disease, or the easement of life. Increasingly, critics accused practitioners of hiding hubris behind their purported humanity and questioned whether an increasingly professional scientific community could retain its grip on the meaning of compassion. Volume three presents a set of responses to this criticism and others, showing the extent to which the lived-experience of scientific practice became a justification in and of itself for the expression of social, political and cultural authority. Bare knowledge, as it was presented, came with an enormous social valuation. These sources show how that authority changed and grew over time.
If the first three volumes highlight notes of dissent to the self-justification of scientific lives, the fourth volume showcases doubt from within the scientific community itself. These sources dwell upon the moments at which ideas became challenged, when facts were revealed to be fiction, and when knowns reverted to unknowns. But the focus is not the ideas and facts themselves, but on the ways in which scientists adjusted themselves to new landscapes of uncertainty in their particular cultural and professional practices.
The scientific and medical cultures included here are diverse, beginning with Jenner’s vaccination experiments in the 1790s and ending with the vast uncontrolled medical experiment afforded by the First World War. In between, there are anatomists, physiologists, toxicologists, neurologists, surgeons, biometrists, eugenicists, Darwinists (including Darwin himself), psychologists and physicians, among others. They are, in some sense, all connected by the moral economies in which they operated. Gioco di ruolo e molteplicità d'esperienza
E' credenza comune tra i giocatori credere che vi sia una distinzione oggettiva tra il personaggio giocato e il giocatore stesso. Di fatto tale distinzione non esiste: la persona che gioca prova forti emozioni all'interno di quella realtà fittizia che si trova al di là dell'inquadramento metacomunicativo (Bateson, 1972), ossia una comunicazione implicita nella comunicazione stessa che definisce il quadro di gioco. Il gioco presuppone una nuova prospettiva inserita all'interno di una realtà immaginaria e l'immersione percettiva del giocatore in un contesto dove verrà esplorato un determinato oggetto vicino o lontano all'esperienza (Geertz 1998) quale potrebbe essere amore, odio, morte, violenza, misticismo, legame con Dio, famiglia; tali oggetti cambiano radicalmente il loro volto in base a quella determinata prospettiva che si decide di inquadrare, prospettiva che andrà a delimitare il terreno di esperienza. Caratteristica fondamentale della metacomunicazione nel gioco è la riflessività: ci permette di pensare alle dimensioni sociali e culturali del mondo in cui viviamo (Shultz – Lavenda, 2015), suggerendo in tal modo che la vita ordinaria possa essere intesa in più di una maniera. Il gioco può costituire un modo per speculare su ciò che può essere, su ciò che dovrebbe essere o ciò che è (Handelman, 1977). La realtà del gioco è stata osservata come un'attività non obbligata, cioè libera, giocosa, separata all'interno da limiti spazio-temporali ed è fittizia (Caillois 1958). La realtà del gioco è veramente così fittizia e separata dalla " realtà " così come viene definito? Cos'è reale? Suggerisco qui come strumento di osservazione il gioco di ruolo: «Il gruppo di giocatori si trova sempre calato in un contesto non soltanto narrativo, linguistico, ma anche geografico, paesaggistico, dunque visivo» (Ghilardi – Salerno, 2007). Qui i giocatori si trovano ad affrontare esperienze forti, delicate, lontane e vicine rispetto alla prospettiva adottata tramite il proprio personaggio. Ma davvero vi è una netta linea di demarcazione tra personaggio e giocatore? Delle volte la linea di demarcazione tra giocatore e personaggio viene dolcemente o prepotentemente affievolita da un fenomeno chiamato bleeding. Processo psico-fisico, presentato come un'esperienza vissuta dal giocatore quando i suoi pensieri e sentimenti sono influenzati da quelli del suo personaggio o vice versa. Con sempre maggior metaforico bleeding, il confine tra giocatore e personaggio diviene sempre più trasparente. La morte di un dato personaggio, col quale si ha giocato per un breve o lungo lasso di tempo, per il giocatore può significare una morte reale? Forse è proprio il gioco, o ancor meglio il gioco di ruolo, lo strumento che può permetterci di " accogliere a braccia aperte la molteplicità, inglobarla e cibarsene […] forzandone per così dire la portata, non lasciare che essa scivoli attorno a noi, ma ci penetri per trarne arricchimento, forza, vitalità, frequentare «quella scuola che è la società degli uomini» non già per nostra esibizione (mostrare sé, il nostro noi, ma gli altri), ma per conoscere gli altri, andando così a «caccia di conoscenza» antropologica, tutto ciò si traduce in una messa in discussione dell'identità, in una modificazione inevitabile delle «leggi della coscienza» in cui ci identifichiamo " (Remotti, 2016).

Poesía de la experiencia, juegos intertextuales, presencia de elementos de la cultura de masas, se tejen en una poesía singular y de calidad que, como en el estudio se aventuraba, ha dado nuevos e importantes frutos.

Samenvatting Dit artikel bevat een kritische bespreking van het burgerschapsparadigma als oriënterend kader voor politiek, beleid, praktijk en wetenschappelijk onderzoek met betrekking tot de zorg aan en het samenleven met mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. Beargumenteerd wordt dat in beschrijvingen van dit paradigma een onbereflecteerd burgerschapsbegrip wordt gehanteerd. Een nadere verkenning van het burgerschapsbegrip toont aan dat het veel ruimte open laat voor diverse – soms tegengestelde – interpretaties. Als wetenschappelijk paradigma of omvattend referentiekader voor onderzoek schiet het eveneens tekort omdat de culturele determinatie het burgerschapsdiscours onvermijdelijk belangrijke beperkingen met zich meebrengt. Het genereert slechts een bepaald type hegemonische kennis dat blind is voor andere typen kennis. De argumentatie wordt geïllustreerd aan de hand van de analyse van een casus. Afgesloten wordt met een korte aanduiding van mogelijke alternatieven. Summary The paper provides a critical discussion of the citizenship paradigm as a guiding framework for politics, policy, practice and research regarding support of and living together with people with intellectual disability. It is argued that descriptions of this paradigm often use an unreflected concept of citizenship. A more detailed exploration of the concept of citizenship demonstrates that it leaves much room for various – sometimes conflicting – interpretations. The concept also fails when used as a scientific paradigm or encompassing framework for research because the cultural determination of citizenship discourse inevitably entails important restrictions. It generates only a certain type of hegemonic knowledge that disregards other types of knowledge. The argument is illustrated by analysing a case. As a conclusion a brief description of possible alternatives is presented.

This paper proposes the interpretation of video games as discourse (in the explanation of discourse commonly used in linguistics and studies of natural language, not as understood in semiotics or cultural studies) to explore further the dynamics through which video games can propose structured meaning and articulate an argument. Such topic is especially relevant for video games with an agenda, whose goal is not just to produce an engaging game experience, but also to convey a message and have some control over the desired outcome (persuasion, information, expression, aesthetic experience). The notion of discourse can help classify serious games according to their specific aim, and can help understand how meaning production in procedural rhetoric takes place.

Gegen die scharfen Grenzen, die in der ästhetischen Forschung und Theorie meist zwischen Wahrnehmen, Erfahren und Erleben gezogen, skizziert der Aufsatz aus der Perspektive empirischer Kulturforschung ein Modell, das diese Elemente ästhetischer Interaktion als 'Module' eines Prozesses versteht. Sinnliches Wahrnehmen, Mikroerlebnisse, Reflexion, körperliche Selbstwahrnehmung, Wissenserwerb, Vergleichen, Versprachlichung und Kommunikation können sich auf die unterschiedlichste Weise verbinden. Während die Forschung zu einer hierarchischen Ordnung neigt, die versprachlichtes Reflektieren und verbale Kommunikation zum Maßstab des Aufsteigens vom Wahrnehmen über das Erleben zur eigentlichen ästhetischen Erfahrung nimmt, fokussiert empirische Kulturforschung mit ihrer Aufmerksamkeit für die sinnnlich-körperlichen Dimensionen gerade die Vielfalt und Beweglichkeit in der Verknüpfung der Elemente eines Prozesses, der vielleicht am besten unter dem Oberbegriff ästhetischen Erlebens zu beschreiben ist.

This article analyses the Harvest Event, annual celebration of the work of winegrower communities that acquires new meanings as part of the wine tourism calendar of wineries worldwide. It particularly discusses the ritual of grape harvesting and treading performed by tourists during the event that took place in 2017 at Araucária winery. Considering the concepts of authenticity, staged tradition and sensorial experience, it evaluates the relevance of those acts, as perceived by its participants.

This book offers a novel analysis of “experience”: the vast and influential concept that has shaped Western social theory and political practice for the past half-millennium. 

While it is difficult to find a branch of modern thought, science, industry, or art that has not relied in some way on the notion of “experience” in defining its assumptions or aims, no study has yet applied a politically-conscious and psychologically-sensitive critique to the construct of experience.

Doing so reveals that most of the qualities that have been attributed to experience over the centuries — particularly its literality, its incommunicability, and its correspondence with suffering — are part of an unlikely fantasy or ideology.

By analyzing a series of related cases, including the experiential education movement, the ascendency of trauma theory, the philosophy of the social contract, and the psychological study of social isolation, the book builds a convincing case that the ideology of experience is invoked not to keep us close to lived realities and ‘things-in-themselves,’ but, rather, to distort and destroy true knowledge of ourselves and others. 

In spite of enduring admiration for those who may be called champions of experience, such as Michel de Montaigne, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and others treated throughout the work, the ideology of experience ultimately discourages individuals and groups from creating, resisting, and changing our experience, urging us instead to embrace trauma, failure, and self-abandonment.

–Mathematics subject involve in daily life. Various materials consist of two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) form that exist in space and shape. However, majority of the primary students are unable to mastering the basic of geometry in Mathematics subject. Therefore, this research report was conduct to identify the effectiveness of using teaching aid to apply in classroom through 'playing and learning' session. As a result, 'playing and learning' process plus the help of using teaching aids shows more successful in mastering the geometry of 2D and 3D. Therefore, students could be able to remember more information when expose through experience of 'playing' in learning the Mathematics subject than having the memorization.

Este ensayo explora los modos participativos de traducción de la experiencia y de construcción de lo experimentado, a partir de verificar una obsesión, en particular antropológica pero que se expande hacia otras disciplinas, por la «participación» como modo de captura de la experiencia de otro, bien sea este un otro investigado, bien sea un otro receptor de lo investigado.

“Illustrators embody their experiences. The personification of experience is a fundamental device in the way
illustrative imagery and visual communication perpetuates ideologies, metaphors, mythologies, and in particular the
anthropomorphisation of the human condition. Illustrators translate experiences, and the perceptual synthesis (Merleau-
Ponty 2013) of those experiences into the illustration and design of fictitious narratives, worlds, characters, and
environments. Drawing becomes a crucial part of articulating the world and capturing perception of experience and
reality. Audiences can relate to the experiences of designed characters through observed similarities with their own
experience. If we take the understanding that individuals tacitly negotiate the world, and their interactions with other
people, through interpretation of aesthetics, physiology, psychology, socio-economic class and culture- then the design of
characters that exhibit a range of these factors can help define a reflexive relationship between the illustrator, the
character, and the audience. This paper will examine the implicit role an illustrator’s habitus (Bourdieu 1977) has in the
development of their characters, and provide conceptual tools that outline this unique relationship. Habitus is a unifying
concept that generates tastes and dispositions based on an individual’s physiology, psychology and sociology.”

Borrowing from film and filmmaking styles, techniques and devices that manipulate spectators ’ attention and experience, this paper proposes an approach to inform design of games and gameplay to manipulate player’s focus of attention and encourage contemplation – in design features, characters, story elements, etc. or even break the player’s engaged attention in the game/virtual world altogether – to provide meaning, experience and opportunities for learning. Focusing on film styles alternative to the continuity style of Hollywood filmmaking, we discuss examples of design for contemplative gameplay in game-based learning environments/serious games, machinima and augmented and mixed reality games in previous, current and future projects. We propose that one goal of game design is to establish a rhythm between contemplation and engagement, and the appropriate rhythm is determined largely by a game’s genre, platform and/or narrative.

Our objective is to address the question about human beings by means of the concept of experience. Due to the existing arguments and critiques targeting all aspects of the
modern paradigm, our approach will be based on D. Hume’s conception of experience, developed in the essence of Modernity. His influence throughout history is evident in diverse present-day lines of thinking, which makes it especially valuable in terms of reviewing and evaluating this model of rationality. For critical purposes, we will look at X. Zubiri’s proposal, demonstrating, on the one hand, some areas on which there is significant agreement with Hume regarding his concept of experience, and on the other hand, discrepancies which are quite significant philosophically. In this way, we will attempt to propose an expanded understanding of the concept of experience, constructing
a foundation for the development of a modern-day theory on the human reality; that is, a theory that takes into account both the crisis of modernity and the hermeneutic-
phenomenological transformation of thought.

Popular music artists, as performers in the public eye, offer a privileged site for the witnessing and analysis of ageing and its mediation. The Late Voice undertakes such an analysis by considering issues of time, memory, innocence and experience in modern Anglophone popular song and the use by singers and songwriters of a 'late voice'. Lateness here refers to five primary issues: chronology (the stage in an artist's career); the vocal act (the ability to convincingly portray experience); afterlife (posthumous careers made possible by recorded sound); retrospection (how voices 'look back' or anticipate looking back); and the writing of age, experience, lateness and loss into song texts.

There has been recent growth in research on ageing and the experience of later stages of life, focussing on physical health, lifestyle and psychology, with work in the latter field intersecting with the field of memory studies. The Late Voice seeks to connect age, experience and lateness with particular performers and performance traditions via the identification and analysis of a late voice in singers and songwriters of mid-late twentieth century popular music.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate whether pilots and non-pilots differ in their susceptibility to spatial disorientation (SD) during a flight in various disorienting scenarios, and in coping with SD. Background: Pilot selection is relevant in assessing pilots’ susceptibility to SD. However, SD-related accidents indicate that it may not be fully effective. Method: A set of 12 flight sequences (six containing an SD conflict, three with vestibular and three with visual illusions) was flown by military pilots (N = 20; age: M = 31.6; SD = 8.22) and non-pilots (N = 20; age: M = 30.95; SD = 7.72) in a flight simulator specially designed for SD research and training. The number and mean magnitude of control reversal errors (CREs) were calculated along with the effects of SD conflict on flight performance. Results: With two exceptions, in all SD-conflict flights, the mean number of CREs increased. For mean magnitudes of CREs, the same effects were not observed. Pilots and non-pilots...

O corpo é capaz de realizar movimentações, e essas se darão em espaços. Enquanto espaços darão ou não as possibilidades da existência de uma movimentação. A partir dessa relação entre espaço e movimentação, percebe-se que o mediador é o corpo. Problematizando esses três conceitos a pesquisa realiza uma aproximação entre os campos conhecimento da arquitetura e da dança. Essa aproximação é sistematizada com a construção de um diagrama-objeto capaz de representar as relações conceituais construídas em torno dessas disciplinas, numa releitura metodológica de Rosalind Krauss (1979). Foram elaborados conceitos pertinentes à essas áreas de conhecimento, e investigadas suas semelhanças e diferenças. O intuito dessas investigações estava em perceber os conhecimentos da arquitetura e da dança como complementares em uma crítica relativa a experiência e produção do espaço. Os principais conceitos utilizados foram  cunhados utilizando, sobretudo, as reflexões sobre arquitetura de José Cabral dos Santos (2005) e sobre dança de Samuel Thorton (1972). Cunhou-se então o que seria a arquitetura, a dança, o espaço, a movimentação, o projeto e a coreografia, para as problematizações construídas sobre uma crítica da relação entre os corpos e o espaço em que se situa.

O presente trabalho tem como objeto de estudo as narrativas reflexivas sobre uma capacitação em Educação Permanente em Saúde, em nível de pós-graduação. Seu objetivo geral é o de discutir os sentidos, êxitos e os limites educacionais dessas narrativas reflexivas. O estudo se justifica por ser meio potencial de se fazer compreender o efeito inovador dessa tecnologia como estratégia para qualificação da gestão e da assistência. Os marcos conceituais são os seguintes: Temporalidade, Experiência, Hermenêutica-dialética e Metodologias Ativas. O estudo pauta-se numa abordagem de pesquisa qualitativa que se propõe a buscar o significado atribuído pelos sujeitos aos fatos, relações, práticas e fenômenos sociais. O método é o da narrativa, utilizada como estratégia de pesquisa, focalizando 20 trabalhos de conclusão de um curso de capacitação de tutores e facilitadores em Educação Permanente em Saúde. Entre as conclusões viu-se nas narrativas como a “experiência do eu” foi intensa e transformadora, com o narrador se transformando em “autor” de sua própria vida. As narrativas, enquanto ferramenta educacional inovadora em educação na saúde, realmente aprofundam a autonomia e autodeterminação dos sujeitos. O uso das narrativas como trabalhos de conclusão de curso podem apresentar um viés positivo, estando ausentes em seu conteúdo alguns aspectos emocionais difíceis para a “experiência do eu”. Pode-se também perder-se o caráter histórico da narração. Mesmo assim, a ideia inovadora de narrativas reflexivas pode contribuir para a reflexão e reelaboração de práticas e sentidos, sendo uma ferramenta em educação na saúde que atua como forma de conscientização de experiências vividas.

This article (in German) discusses the scope and content of John McDowell's famous claim that human perception is "conceptual all the way out". I motivate the claim by explaining its role within McDowell's transcendental concern to account for the mind's "openness to the world", i. e. the immediate presence or givenness (no capital "G") of objective reality in human perception. I argue that (a) dissolving this problem requires us to understand human perception as a rational power, that (b) a rational power is a power whose actualizations involve the actualization of conceptual capacities, and that (c) the actualizations of powers that involve the actualizations of conceptual capacities have conceptual contents. I discuss the different versions of this claim to be found in McDowell's writings since "Mind and World". Furthermore, I distinguish between two ways of reading the claim which I call the "apperceptive" and the "phenomenal" reading respectively. The first reading, I argue, is the one McDowell actually endorses, whereas the second reading, which is not a part of his position, is the one foisted on him in many of the critical engagements with his work.

This paper examines the complex relationship between hospitality and organisations. It is argued that a variety of organisational practices can be understood by considering how hospitality is mobilised and experienced by multiple stakeholders. The paper begins by synthesising existing conceptions of hospitality and outlining its different dimensions. It then goes on to examine how hospitality themes and related issues emerge in, and are thus relevant to, the study of organisations and management. The paper firstly considers how hospitality is extended to or oriented towards external stakeholders and thus mobilised as tactical or strategic enchantment. It is argued that hospitality can be used purposefully to establish power relations and invoke obligations both to conform to organisational norms and to reciprocate. Secondly, the paper considers how hospitality emerges within organisational practices and may be deployed by various stakeholders as an instrument of entrenchment to perpetuate existing norms and hierarchies. However, it is also suggested that practices of hospitality can create alternative organisational spaces and networks, and hospitable acts may thus help to reconfigure power relationships and become focal points of resistance. The paper concludes by reflecting upon emerging questions, challenges and potential avenues for further research and intervention.

The trend of sustainability continues to increase and gain popularity in the construction industry. As for project manager, certain essential knowledge is required in managing sustainable construction projects. Most of the barriers to sustainable construction projects mentioned so far are knowledge-related. This implies that there is a knowledge gap among project manager in managing a sustainable construction project which needs to be addressed. Moreover, the literature indicates that experience in sustainable construction projects correlates with sustainability knowledge. This paper examines the level of sustainability knowledge of project manager and determines the relationship between experience and sustainability knowledge. A questionnaire survey was conducted with project managers who have experience in managing sustainable construction projects in Malaysia. Data were analysed using the normality test, descriptive analysis, and Spearman correlation test via IBM SPSS software version 24. Results indicate that project managers have a high level of sustainable knowledge in sustainable construction projects. The understanding and awareness of the sustainability concept and approach to sustainable construction projects are very high among project managers. Apart from that, there is a significant relationship between years of experience in sustainable construction projects and sustainable knowledge. Hence, the outcomes of this study may assist future research to explore other knowledge for project manager in managing sustainable construction projects.

El soneto 77 articula una poética personal que combina la lectura, la escritura, la experiencia del paso del tiempo, y la relectura interpretativa, entendidos como parte del proceso hacia el autoconocimiento y la comprensión de la realidad humana.

This is a commentary, in Spanish of Shakespeare's Sonnet 77, with special attention to the analysis of imagery and to the reflexive dimension of the poem.
