Meowdy! I’m Buster, a very friendly and handsome boy on the search for a loving family. My stunning good looks are just icing on the cake - I come with a heart full of affection and plenty of purrs. Every morning and afternoon (flexible), you are invited to come enjoy some playtime with the kitties at Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab (FURR) at its Hampstead location. Just a few hours once or twice a week can help newly rescued felines see life differently. Helping them learn to trust, love and get ready for adoption not only mends their hearts but yours, too! Come meet Monty's Home's newest group of rescues being trained for 7 weeks in the Pender Correctional Institution in Burgaw. This current group of five wonderful, affectionate Walker Hounds is called the “Shelter Shoppers” and all their namesMacy, Talbot, Costco, Ollie and Amazon - fit the theme! A meet and greet will be held on Sunday, April 7 from 2pm to 4pm at the Monty's Home Animal Lovers Thrift Shop, 401 US-117 S in Burgaw. The Whiskers & Paws Market will be held on Sunday, May

19, 2024 from 12:00 to 5:00pm at Freya’s Haus, 55 Scotts Hill Loop Road, Wilmington, NC. This event is a benefit for Roseys Rescue.

This event is free to the public to attend. The event will have a food truck, dessert truck, music by Frank Grant, pet-related vendors, pup cup station, giveaways, and will be fun for the whole family (including your leashed friendly pets).

►My name is Gracie and I’m a little girl with the most soulful, sweet eyes and when I look at you, it seems that I’m begging to go home with you rather than be in a kennel. I’m a black and white, 3-year-old, Pit Bull who was originally adopted from Onslow County Animal Services only to be abandoned in my home. Luckily, I made my way back to the shelter to try to find another home. I did come back to the shelter with a house friend (a Beagle mix) who was quickly adopted but here I sit. I walk wonderfully on a leash, love other dogs, and am the biggest Lap Dog you could find. So, why am I still on the adoption floor? My rescue friends are asking the same question for dogs like me. I am heartworm positive and will require treatment. However, a shelter partner (Paws 4 Purpose) does provide assistance with this treatment, so please don't let that keep you from adopting me. ♥
