2012
Finegold won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts State Senate Second Essex and Middlesex District. Finegold was unopposed in the September 6 Democratic primary and defeated Paul Adams (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[3]
2010
Finegold won election to the Second Essex and Middlesex state senate seat in 2010. He defeated John Kelly, Debbie Silberstein and John J. Wilson, Jr. in the September 14 Democratic primary. He defeated Jamison Tomasek (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.
