The Colorado State Controller is a state executive position in the Colorado state government. The controller's office manages the state's financial affairs, performs financial reporting, and manages the state's payroll and tax accounting systems. The controller is appointed by the executive director of the state's Department of Personnel and Administration and serves at the executive director's pleasure.[1]

Current officeholder

The current controller is Robert Jaros. He was appointed by executive director of the Colorado Department of Personnel on April 17, 2013, and took office on May 1, 2013. As the controller is a permanent employee of the state, he is not subject to periodic reappointment.[2]
