McDermott resigned in order to assume his new role as Director of the Colorado Financial Reporting System Implementation.[1]

Prior to entering state employment as an auditor for the department of labor and employment, Jaros parlayed his academic credentials to gain experience in the private sector. He has worked as an auditor, controller, general counsel and chief financial officer.
