Tourism plays an important role in employment generation and economic growth of the country. It is accepted as the potent engine for inclusive social economic progressive at universal level through its forward and backward linkage and ability to create employment in the economy.
        The modes of tourism are discussed broadly and suggestions are given appropriately for sustainable development of tourism. It reveals that the pilgrimage tourism has been practicing here for centuries. Presently, mass tourism as mountaineering, trekking, skiing and river rafting is being common. The practices of tourism have a significant impact on the economy as many of the small towns emerged as the major service provider centers and the economy of the region grew tremendously. But, at the same time, its impact fell badly on the environment and the tourist places and pilgrimages have received severe environmental implications.

This paper presents a non-intrusive system that gives the illusion of a 3D immersive and interactive environment with 2D projectors. The user does not need to wear glasses, nor to watch a (limited) screen. The virtual world is all around him, drawn on the floor. As the user is himself immersed in the virtual world, there is no need for a proxy like an avatar; he can move inside the virtual environment freely. Moreover, the I-see-3D system allows a user to manipulate virtual objects with his own body, making interactions with the virtual world very intuitive. Giving the illusion of 3D requires to render images in such a way that the deformation of the image projected on the floor is taken into account, as well as the position of the user’s “eye” in its virtual world. Overhead cranes are critical equipment in heavy industries, ports and construction. In many cases, they may become bottlenecks for the whole production process. At the phase of plant design, or when evaluating modifications to the processes, it is critical to analyze their behavior, specially the interferences that occur among each other. Considering factors like breakdowns, process time variability, buffer capacities and interferences with other vehicles; linear calculation is not applicable and simulation is required. This paper explains the development of a reusable template for simulating a group of overhead cranes integrating it in a major ARENA model.

The tracking of pupils by ability into elite and non-elite schools represents a controversial policy in many countries. There is no consensus on how large the elite track should be and little agreement on the effects of any further increase in its size. This paper presents a natural experiment where the increase in the size of the elite track was followed by a significant improvement in average educational outcomes. This experiment provides a rare opportunity to isolate the overall effect of allowing entry to the elite track for a group that was previously only at the margin of being admitted. This study set out to find out the perceptions of teachers and learners of Principles of Accounts at ordinary (“O”) level in Masvingo Urban District secondary schools in Masvingo Province in Zimbabwe regarding streaming of learners and how such perceptions impact on the teaching and learning of the subject. The descriptive survey design was adopted for this study because it enabled the researchers to study a limited number of cases with a view of drawing up conclusions about the generality of the whole group under study. In order to reduce the labor-intensive nature of evaluating quality of fused tracks in a multi-sensor, multi-platform environment, the Metrics Assessment System (MAS) was developed to provide heavily automated, real-time metric calculation and display. The MAS presents metrics in tables and graphs within the tactical display and provides overlays on the tactical display for focused assessment. Originally, MAS included standard kinematic metrics, but more recent work has generated additional metrics based on track-to-track versions of Track Purity, Target Effectiveness, and Assignment Accuracy, metrics derived from a confusion matrix analysis of the fused and known truth tracks, and Receiver Operating Characteristic Curves. Data mining tools were used to assess the effectiveness of candidate metrics for inclusion in the MAS. This paper describes the metrics, the evaluations, and the framework for metric assessment which this work has provided.

An der Schnittstelle von digitalen Mediensystemen und bioinformatischen Wissensmedien tragen sie im Trend der Selbstvermessung dazu bei, den Körper als Medienobjekt geregelter Gestaltung und numerischer Ausdrucksformen zu betrachten. Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der Programmlogik dieses digitalen Fitness- und Gesundheitsmonitoring und untersucht ihren Stellenwert im Kontext von Praktiken der Selbstführung in prozessorientierten Aushandlungsprozessen.

This paper describes a hybrid optical-inertial tracking technology for fully-immersive projective displays. In order to track the operator, the operator wears a 3DOF commercial inertial tracking system coupled with a set of laser diodes arranged in a known configuration. In this paper, we present two new articulated motion analysis and object tracking approaches: the decentralized articulated object tracking method and the hierarchical articulated object tracking method. The first approach avoids the common practice of using a high-dimensional joint state representation for articulated object tracking. Instead, we introduce a decentralized scheme and model the interpart interaction within an innovative Bayesian framework. Specifically, we estimate the interaction density by an efficient decomposed interpart interaction model. To handle severe self-occlusions, we further extend the first approach by modeling high-level interunit interaction and develop the second algorithm within a consistent hierarchical framework. Preliminary experimental results have demonstrated the superior performance of the proposed approaches on real-world videos in both robustness and speed compared with other articulated object tracking methods.

Motor banca is a staple marine transportation in the Philippines, so it needs to be monitored for the safety of its passengers and crews especially on emergencies. This study develops a tracking and monitoring system intended for motorized bancas only and automatically alerts the Philippine Coast Guard and informs about the state of the motor banca so that any emergencies can be handle promptly. The design consists of two major areas concerning tracking motor bancas: the Radio Access Network and the Base Domain. The Radio Access Network consists of three type of devices: the Boat device, the Buoy device, and the Main Station device. The boat devices were provided to certain motor bancas to be tracked over the map feature of the Motor Banca Tracking and Distress Call Alerting System User Interface (MBTDCASUI).

The first part of this paper intends to give an overview of the maximum power point tracking methods for photovoltaic (PV) inverters presently reported in the literature. The most well-known and popular methods, like the perturb and observe (P&O), the incremental conductance (INC) and the constant voltage (CV), are presented. These methods, especially the P&O, have been treated by many works, which aim to overcome their shortcomings, either by optimizing the methods, or by combining them. In the second part of the paper an improvement for the P&O and INC method is proposed, which prevents these algorithms to get confused during rapidly changing irradiation conditions, and it considerably increases the efficiency of the MPPT

ABSTRACT In order to stabilize water supply for remote regions and deserts, it is not only necessary to improve the power generation system, but also to improve its maintenance strategy. Photovoltaic pumping systems need to be maintained periodically. Both maintenance efficiency improvement and reduction of its cost are desired. Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the promising technologies that will be able to improve efficiency in maintenance and reduce human errors. AR expands the surrounding real world by superimposing computer-generated information on a user's view. It presents the information more intuitively than the legacy interfaces such as paper-based instruction documents. In this paper, an augmented reality platform for photovoltaic pumping system maintenance tasks is proposed. In order to locate the repairer in the working environment and then to overlay the virtual objects, a tracking method is developed. A scenario which takes a user by the hand through maintenance tasks is described. Experiments are conducted in order to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of the proposed tracking method.

Area surveillance for guarding and intruder detection with a combined camera radar sensor is considered. This specific sensor combination is attractive since complementary information is provided by the respective elements. Thus, a more complete description of objects of interest can be obtained. Several strategies to fuse the data are discussed. Results obtained with live experiments are presented. When compared to camera only, a significant reduction of the number of false tracks is achieved.

A technical assessment is always conducted prior to the installation of traffic signs at crosswalks, safety lanes, or even expanding areas. In these cases, using cameras to gather local photos and then analysing them is a valuable method. This paper describes a technique for detecting and tracking four types of vehicles: automobiles, buses, trucks, and motorcyclists, by analysing video footage of road crossings. The first findings of vehicle route accounting reveal that the technique is highly promising, with good outcomes in a number of scenarios, but much more study is needed to make these systems resistant against occlusions and other unforeseen events.

This report has been written to examine to what extent the use of technology by retailers to track customers in stores is ethical and not an intrusion of privacy. Tracking is the monitoring of the movements and behaviour of customers while they are shopping. Moreover, the report focuses on the type of data which is collected by the retailers through tracking for analyzing data on the spending patterns, and demographics.

Gryphon as a 5-DOF robot has the ability to emulate the gestures of human arm and hand. It has pivots for rotation around the elbow and wrist. The wrist has two operative pivots, for rotation and elevation. Unlike previous works which concentrate on using WALLI as Gryphon robots own software, in this paper a PC-based and XPC Target's real-time feature has been used.. Recently, techniques based on metaheuristics of natural computing, mainly evolutionary algorithms (EA), have been successfully applied to a large number of robotic applications. The aim of this paper is to evaluate a modified Biogeography-based Optimization (BBO) approach based on mutation operator to solve the trajectory planning of a Gryphon. Computer simulation results and practical experiments demonstrate that accurate trajectory tracking can be achieved by using the proposed method.

The advancement of wireless sensor networks yields a variety of wireless sensor network for wildlife tracking. One typical application for wireless sensor networks is in animal tracking and monitoring in wildlife environments. A significant number of studies have been done in tracking animals with sensor networks. However from the recent literature it is observed that there is no much study has been done on an intelligent real time sensor network that is capable to alerting the rangers an incidence of animal poaching before it happened. In this paper an intelligent wireless sensor system for tracking and monitoring rhinos and elephants is proposed.
