How to arrive
The main campus of the University of Tampere is close to the Tampere city centre, some ten minutes' walk from the railway station.
The Kauppi campus is located near the Tampere University Hospital, about 2.5 kilometres east of the railway station.
Connections by train between Tampere and Helsinki are good. There are also connections to Tampere from other Finnish cities.
Train timetables and tickets
Tampere-Pirkkala Airport is located about 15 kilometres south-east of the city.
The coach station is some ten minutes’ walk from the main campus. Several long-distance bus routes travel right past the main campus or the Kauppi campus.
Bus and coach travel services
Transport in the city area is by the blue buses. Services 9, 13, 15, and 40 go past the University. Buses 1, 8, 28, and 90 go past the Kauppi campus.

Those planning to use their own cars should note that parking facilities on the main campus are very limited.
