Twelve Reasons Why We Reject the False Doctrines of Marxism by Nolan McFadden Α Marxism is more than a political view. Marxism is: 1) a false philosophy 2) a false belief system 3) a false view of history 4) a totalitarian ideology of spiritual death 5) a Satanic, anti-Christ ideology which opposes Christ’s authority, teachings and eternal kingdom Consequently, it is identified in the Scriptures as one of the “doctrines of devils” (teachings inspired by Satan) emerging from the sin-distorted, false reasoning of fallen humanity. See John 10:10, Colossians 2:8-10 and I Timothy 4:1-2. The false doctrines of Marxism were introduced in the nineteenth century by Karl Marx (1818-1883) and Friedrich Engels (1820-1895). In WEBSTER’S AMERICAN FAMILY DICTIONARY marxism is defined as “the system of thought developed by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels , esp. the doctrine that class struggle has been the main agency of historical change and that capitalism will inevitably be superseded by a socialist [new] order and classless society.” (1) The false pillars of marxism include: 1) anti-God 2) naturalistic evolution 3) dialectical materialism 4) amoralism (i.e. indifferent to moral standards, criteria or principle) Tragically, millions of people have been deceived by and indoctrinated in the false teachings of marxism. Even many who claim to be Christians have been deceived by the false teachers and false teachings of marxism. But our LORD JESUS both warned and commanded His true followers, “…Take heed that no man deceive you…And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:4.14) In like manner, the apostle Paul warned Christians, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:...” (Colossians 2:8-10) The two previously mentioned, infamous, nineteenth-century false teachers, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, developed a new philosophy in their day known as marxism. Within a few decades of its origin, marxism began spreading rapidly like a deadly cancer to the nations. By the early twentieth century, the widespread propagation of marxism was igniting murderous revolutions and destructive civil wars. Following the overthrow of the Russian government and rise to power of the Bolsheviks, twentieth-century marxist dictators (dictatorships of the Proletariat) and mass murderers such as Stalin, Mao TseTung, Pol Pot, Kim II Sung, Fidel Castro and others rose to power promising world revolution and overthrow of all capitalist/free market governments. During the past one hundred years, many millions of people have died as a result of marxist “revolutions”. The spread and acceptance of the tenets of marxism have had a major impact in most nations including in the United States. Working with marxists and communists within the Unites States, marxists in the former Soviet Union developed a strategy which included marxist infiltration of all institutions in the United States (education, government, labor, media, entertainment, national security, churches, non-profit organizations, etc.) to bring about a “marxist revolution” from within. It was former F. B. I. agent and scholar W. Cleon Skousen (1913-2006) who wrote the book entitled The NAKED COMMUNIST which was published in 1958. In his book Mr. Skousen warned, “It is a terrible and awesome thing when a man sets out to create all other men in his own image. Such became the goal and all consuming ambition of Karl
2 Marx…Marx surveyed the world and dreamed of the day when the whole body of humanity could be forced into a gigantic social image which conformed completely to Marx’s dream of a perfect society. To achieve his goal, Marx required two things: First, the total annihilation of all opposition, the downfall of all existing governments, all economies and all societies. “Then,” he wrote, “I shall stride through the wreckage a creator.” The second thing he needed was a new kind of human being. He visualized a regimented breed of Pavlovian men whose minds could be triggered into immediate action by signals from their masters. He wanted a race of men who would no longer depend upon free will, ethics, morals or conscience for guidance. Perhaps, without quite realizing it, Marx was setting out to create a race of human beings conditioned to think like criminals [marxists]…” “…Today this breed of criminally conditioned man walks the earth in sufficient numbers to conquer countries or continents, to change laws and boundaries, to decree war or peace. He might well be called Homo-Marxian – the Marxist Man…Being without morals, he approaches all things in a direct, uncomplicated manner. Self-preservation is given as the sole justification for his own behavior,…Marxist Man has convinced himself that nothing is evil which answers the call of expediency. He has released himself from all the confining restraints of honor and ethics which mankind has previously tried to use as a basis for harmonious human relations…He is out to rule the world…” (2) It was the father of marxism, socialism and communism, Karl Marx, who declared, “My object in life is to dethrone God and destroy capitalism.” (3) Amazingly, this is precisely what the fallen angel known as “Lucifer” aspired to do as revealed in Isaiah 14:12-16 (KJV). Lucifer, also called “the Devil,” and “Apollyon” (meaning “the Destroyer” Revelation 9:11 or “Satan” – Revelation 12:7-9), desires to exalt himself in place of God and destroy the works of God and the lives of men. Perhaps we have identified the source from whom Karl Marx found inspiration for his marxist ideology. At its core, Marxism is rebellion against God and His eternal laws found in the Holy Bible. Karl Marx was at war against God. Marxists today continue in this same evil rebellion. Marxism/communism includes doctrines only Satan himself could have inspired. Marxism/communism has caused more murders, genocides, wars and human misery than any other single belief system (except Islam) in human history. Over the years, marxists, including mass murderers such as Stalin, Mao Tse-Tung, Pol Pot, Kim II Sung, Fidel Castro and others, have ordered the murders of many people. Here we find the real fruit of marxism/communism – SATANIC EVIL! Many millions of people have been murdered as a result of their regimes. If ever one verse of Scripture summarized the doctrines and deeds of marxists and communists it is Psalm 14:1. King David declared in Psalm 14:1, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” With great insight, former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation J. Edgar Hoover in his book Masters of Deceit The Story of Communism in America and How to Fight It warned, “…They [marxists and communists] would destroy the peace of the country and thrust it into a condition of anarchy and lawlessness and immorality that passes imagination.” (4) Mr. Hoover observed that, from the perspective of a marxist/communist, “Morality is strictly a bourgeois device. To the communists everything that promotes the [marxist] revolution is moral, legal, and beautiful.” (5) Why do we reject Marxism/Communism? Consider twelve good reasons: 1) Marxism/Communism is government without God. Consequently, it denies the authority of God and His Word – the Holy Bible in our lives. It makes

3 human government the final authority/arbitrator in all matters of life. It is a false system of belief that is man-centered, instead of being Christ-centered. Whereas, our LORD JESUS declared, “GET THEE HENCE, SATAN: FOR IT IS WRITTEN, THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE.” (MATTHEW 4:10) For Marxists the government is in place of God. Marxism exalts the Party and human government above the true God in our lives. It creates “one nation without God” instead of “one nation under God.” It requires supreme allegiance to “Caesar” (human government) in place of the only one who is truly worthy of our supreme allegiance - the true and living “LORD” of the Holy Bible. Thus, Marxism makes the Marxist state a false god to be in place of the true God of the Scriptures. Whereas, the living LORD God of Israel has commanded, “THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.” (Exodus 20:3) Therefore, as authentic Christians, we affirm supreme allegiance to the LORD JESUS and His Word – THE HOLY BIBLE above all others and all else in our lives (Matthew 6:33; 10:37). Marxism/Communism has a long, documented history of many violations of the human rights of non-Marxists/Communists. Over the years, many crimes against humanity have been carried out by Marxist/Communist regimes against many millions of Christians, political dissidents and nonconformists. In the Marxist, evolutionist model human value and human rights are determined by the government. As a result, the totalitarian state can give or take away your human rights and your dignity whenever it so desires. Thus, in Marxist-controlled governments citizens are conditioned to conform like slaves to serve the Marxist state. Whereas, Christians recognize and serve a higher authority than the state. His name is JESUS. Just as the Christian founding fathers of the United States believed, we as twenty-first century Christians likewise affirm, that our dignity, rights and freedom come from our CREATOR not human government (John 8:36, James 1:17). Marxism subverts Christian beliefs and Christian morality. Vladimir Lenin, who helped Karl Marx write the Communist Manifesto wrote, “The best revolutionary is a youth devoid of morals.” (6) Subsequently, one of the fundamental doctrines of Marxism is amorality. Amorality means being without any absolute beliefs regarding morality. Rather, Marxism aims to establish a common [Marxist] (a)moral code which excludes absolute Christian moral beliefs such as obedience to the commands of God found in the Holy Bible. In addition, amorality results in tolerance of all forms of immorality. Whereas, JESUS said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15-23) The Christian worldview affirms the biblical family unit, established by, and under the authority of, THE LORD GOD OUR CREATOR, as consisting of a father, mother and child/children (Genesis 1-3, Matthew 19:1-8, Mark 10:112). Whereas, the Marxist/Communist view is that the government is the primary authority, provider, and nurturer of children. These two views are very different. The biblical family unit is God’s design and God’s will as
4 revealed in the Holy Bible. The Marxist model is man’s false substitute for God’s will and plan. 6) Marxism aims to abolish the ownership of private property. Marxism advocates government control and ownership of all property (Statism). Likewise, Marxist Collectivism disregards the rights, value and dignity of the individual. Only what is good for the collective “community” as a whole, from the perspective of the corrupt, Marxist oligarchy, matters. Whereas, in the Holy Bible THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL affirms the value, dignity and rights of the individual and the right of individuals and families to own private property (I Kings 21:1-16, Matthew 20:1-16, Acts 5:1-4) 7) Marxism/Communism is an ungodly belief system that is not based on God’s love. Instead, Marxism/Communism promotes class hatred and conflict among people groups by pitting one group against the other. It also incites racial hatred and racial conflict to advance a Marxist Revolution. Thus, Marxists merely use people to further their own evil, deceptive, murderous agenda. In fact, Marxism is the exact opposite of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Whereas, JESUS teaches us to love all people including the rich (Capitalist) and the poor (worker), the oppressed and the oppressors (Matthew 22:37-40, Luke 6:27-38, John 13:35; 14:15-23; 15:12). 8) Marxism/Communism is not based on God’s peace. Rather, it continually leads people down a pathway of conflict and crisis to create another revolution and another synthesis which will inevitably be overthrown by others. Whereas, JESUS taught, “BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS: FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED THE CHILDREN OF GOD.” (Matthew 5:9) In Hebrews 12:14 we are instructed to “FOLLOW (PURSUE) PEACE WITH ALL MEN,…” ALSO, JESUS PROMISES INNER PEACE TO THOSE WHO FOLLOW AND SERVE HIM (John 14:27; 16:33, Rom. 5:1). 9) Marxism/Communism does not recognize the supernatural interventions of God in history or glorify God for meeting the needs of people. Instead, it refuses to acknowledge and thank God for being the true source of all provisions and blessings (Psalm 24:1, James 1:17). Thus, we need not sell our souls to the anti-God, anti-Christ belief system of Marxism in order to find help for people. Rather, let us trust God to provide our needs as we seek Him (Matthew 6:33). 10) In reality, Marxism/Communism is based on a destructive, Hegelian process. After the wealthy “bourgeoisie” have been robbed and murdered in the senseless, unnecessary, murderous “revolutions” of Marxism, there is nobody with money left from which to receive taxes, start new businesses and create new jobs for “the proletariat.” President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed, “We do not enrich the poor by impoverishing the rich.” Consequently, Marxism/Socialism results in more poverty and worse conditions in the long term. It is a system of beliefs that has failed everywhere it has been established. It creates more long-term problems than solutions for workers. Whereas, the LORD GOD OF ISRAEL promises to bless and prosper the people who are careful to obey His commands found in the Holy Bible. See Deuteronomy 6-7, Joshua 1:5-9, Psalm 128 and Matthew 6:24-33.
5 11) Marxism/Communism is a death trap. It is an ideology based on the mindset of criminals. (7) When practiced, it results in nothing more than endless, murderous, bloody wars, purges and revolutions resulting in mass murder, thefts, deceptions, fear, distrust, treachery, misery and despair. Over the years, how many people have died in senseless violence as a result of the propagation of Marxism/Communism? MANY MILLIONS! Whereas, JESUS said, “THE THIEF [Marxist] COMETH NOT, BUT FOR TO STEAL, AND TO KILL, AND TO DESTROY: I AM COME THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE LIFE, AND THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY.” (John 10:10) 12) The practice of lying and deception is a way of life for Marxists. Marxists are taught to use lying as a tool to deceive their opponents, create agitation and help incite a Marxist revolution. Lying, deceiving or falsely accusing others is a non-issue to those who believe “the revolution” is everything and that they are not accountable to God. In his book entitled BARACK OBAMA’S RULES FOR REVOLUTION THE ALINSKY MODEL author David Horowitz observed, “The most basic principle of Alinsky’s advice to [Marxist] radicals is to lie to their opponents and disarm them by pretending to be moderates and liberals.” (8) Adding, “That is why when partisans of the left go into battle, they set out to destroy their opponents by stigmatizing them as “racists,” “sexists,” “homophobes” and “Islamophobes.” It is also why they so often pretend to be what they are not (“liberals” for example) and rarely say what they mean. Deception for them is a military tactic in a war that is designed to eliminate the enemy.” (9) MARXISM IS A FOUNTAIN OF LIES. LET US WHOLEHEARTEDLY REJECT FALSE MARXIST RHETORIC. Regarding the Marxist strategy of using mass deception in order to help destroy a “capitalist” nation from within, David Horowitz declared, “In The 18th Brumaire, Marx himself summed up the [Marxist] radical’s passion by invoking a comment of Goethe’s Mephistopheles: “Everything that exists deserves to perish.” The essence of what it means to be a [Marxist] radical is thus summed up in Alinsky’s praise for Satan: to be willing to destroy the values, structures and institutions that sustain the society in which we live. The many names of Satan are also a model for the way [Marxist] radicals camouflage their agendas by calling themselves at different times Communists, socialists, new leftists, liberals, social justice activists and most consistently progressives. My parents, who were card-carrying Communists, never referred to themselves as Communists but always as “progressives,” as did their friends and political comrades. The “Progressive Party” was created by the Communist Party to challenge Harry Truman in the 1948 election because he opposed the spread of Stalin’s empire.” The Progressive Party was led by Roosevelt’s vice president, Henry Wallace, and was the vehicle chosen by the Communists to lead their followers out of the Democratic Party, which they had joined during the “popular front” of the 1930’s. The Progressives rejoined the Democrats during the McGovern campaign of 1972 and with the formation of a hundred-plus member Progressive Caucus in the [federal government]
6 congressional party and the ascension of Barack Obama to the presidency have become its most important political force.” (10) Whereas, the apostle Paul commanded, “LIE NOT ONE TO ANOTHER, SEEING THAT YOU HAVE PUT OFF THE OLD MAN WITH HIS DEEDS.” (Colossians 3:9) Without genuine repentance, Marxists are clueless regarding where they will spend eternity because of their evil deeds. JESUS proclaimed, “YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL, AND THE LUSTS OF YOUR FATHER YE WILL DO. HE WAS A MURDERER FROM THE BEGINNING, AND ABODE NOT IN THE TRUTH, BECAUSE THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM. WHEN HE SPEAKETH A LIE, HE SPEAKETH OF HIS OWN: FOR HE IS A LIAR, AND THE FATHER OF IT.” (John 8:44) Likewise, the apostle John warned, “BUT THE FEARFUL, AND UNBELIEVING, AND THE ABOMINABLE, AND MURDERERS, AND WHOREMONGERS, AND SORCERERS, AND IDOLATERS, AND ALL LIARS, SHALL HAVE THEIR PART IN THE LAKE WHICH BURNETH WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE: WHICH IS THE SECOND DEATH.” (Revelation 21:8) Is there a better way than Marxism, Communism, Progressivism and Global Socialism? YES! GIVE THANKS AND PRAISE TO THE LORD - THERE IS A BETTER WAY. CHRIST JESUS IS THE SOLUTION. KNOWING AND FOLLOWING JESUS AND HIS TEACHINGS IS THE BETTER PATH. JESUS did not teach people the concepts of Marxism in order to resolve their problems. Rather, JESUS helped people according to the direction and will of the Father in Heaven as revealed in the Scriptures of truth. Who do you want to follow and serve? Do you want to follow and serve JESUS THE SAVIOR who loves you, died to pay the penalty of your sins and offers you the gift of eternal life? OR Do you want to follow the false, murderous teachings of Karl Marx and his Marxist disciples (Stalin, Ceausescu, Mao Tse-Tung, Pol Pot, Kim II Sung, Fidel Castro)? There is eternal hope for progessives and marxists who are willing to repent and believe the biblical gospel. In I Timothy 2:3-6 we find that our loving God wants “ALL” people to be “SAVED” (meaning to be “BORN AGAIN”) TO A “NEW LIFE” IN CHRIST JESUS. GOD ALSO DESIRES THAT “ALL” PEOPLE COME TO THE “KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH” IN THE SCRIPTURES OF TRUTH (I Timothy 2:1-6). THE WORD “ALL” IN OUR BIBLE TEXT CERTAINLY INCLUDES DECEIVED PROGRESSIVES AND MARXISTS. HOW AMAZING IS THE INCREDIBLE LOVE OF GOD. ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES, JEHOVAH, THE GOD OF ISRAEL, LOVES EVEN DECEIVED, DEVIL-LED MARXISTS AND PROGRESSIVES. HE DESIRES THE ETERNAL SALVATION OF THEIR LOST SOULS – LUKE 5:31-32, JOHN 3:16-18; 3:36; 5:24, 6:37, ROMANS 1:16-17; 5:8; 10:9-13. TO THOSE SEEKING GOD OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST DECLARED, “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE: NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME.” (John 14:6) TO PEOPLE SEEKING DELIVERANCE FROM SPIRITUAL DARKNESS CHRIST JESUS TAUGHT, “I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD: HE THAT FOLLOWETH ME SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE.” (John 8:12) TO ALL WORKERS JESUS SAID, “COME UNTO ME, ALL YE THAT LABOR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU, AND LEARN OF ME; FOR I AM MEEK AND LOWLY OF HEART: AND YE SHALL FIND REST UNTO YOUR SOULS.” (Matthew 11:28-29) TO ALL TRUTH SEEKERS JESUS OUR SAVIOR PROCLAIMED, “IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD, THEN ARE YE MY DISCIPLES INDEED; AND YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE.” (John 8:31-32)
7 THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL QUESTIONS IS:
DO YOU KNOW JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR? THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT THE LORD JESUS, THE TRUE CHRIST OF ISRAEL, LOVES YOU. CHRIST JESUS has made it possible for you to go to Heaven after this life if you will repent, believe and receive Him and His one time, eternal sacrifice for your sins. JESUS died to pay the penalty of all your sins, was buried and rose again from the dead for you (I Corinthians 15:1-4). Do you believe this good news message in your heart? YES / NO In prayer, have you repented of your sins and personally invited JESUS CHRIST to come live in your heart as your LORD and SAVIOR? YES / NO Did you know that you can be 100% certain in this life that when you die you will have eternal life in Heaven? In I John 5:13, the apostle John wrote, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” How can you be saved (born again) and know it? 1. Recognize that you are a sinner and guilty as charged before God. Romans 3:23 declares, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” You may have sinned more or less than others. However, it only takes one sin to separate you from God for all eternity (Romans 6:23, James 2:10). 2. Repent and believe the gospel. In Mark 1:15 Jesus said, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” To repent means changing your mind about your sins and need of salvation. It is turning from your sins to God (Luke 18:13; 19:8-10, Acts 26:20). To believe in Jesus Christ means to put your full trust in Him and His sinless, one time, eternal sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. The gospel is defined in I Corinthians 15:3-4: “…Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” Therefore, the gospel is that Christ Jesus died to pay the penalty of your sins, was buried and rose again from the dead for your salvation. 3. Call on the name of the Lord Jesus in prayer and personally receive Him as your Lord and Savior. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 “But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12 4. Confess Jesus Christ before others. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
8 “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” By faith, you can make the eternal decision to be saved now. If it is your desire to be saved, pray this prayer of faith out loud: Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for my sins, was buried and rose again from the dead for me. I turn from my sins in repentance. Lord Jesus, please forgive my sins and come live in my heart forever. Please save my soul, change my life and make me a child of God by your Holy Spirit. Please help me to live in obedience to your commands and be an overcomer in Christ. Thank you my Lord for the gift of salvation. Amen. Write the date that you made this salvation decision in your Bible. Please let us know if you have personally received Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord today so that we may rejoice with you. Confess Jesus before others. Be baptized by immersion, worship, attend and serve with other Christians in a biblical church where the Holy Bible is the final authority. Ω
