YOUR ULTIMATE RELOCATION GUIDE
In 2013, Avisha married her husband in Washington, D.C., and they embarked on the search for their first home together.
In the winter of 2014, Washington, D.C. was hit with three consecutive snowstorms, earning the nickname "Snow-megedin". The first snowstorm was enjoyable, the second tolerable, but by the third week, it felt like torture and was an experience they never wanted to endure again.
It was during this time that Avisha’s husband suggested they move to Miami. They immediately began daydreaming and house hunting in search of their perfect home. After over 7 months of intense searching, facing 9 rejected offers, and falling in love with a single family home that, unfortunately, had a 65% wetness issue and was filled with mold during the home inspection, they felt frustrated and heartbroken. All they wanted was to find a home where they could plant roots and start their life in Miami Beach.
Finally, in November 2014, they purchased their home on the coveted Venetian Islands and have since adored their beautiful Miami life. The Kassir family has fully embraced the vibrant Miami lifestyle, cherishing the year-round events, fantastic weather, and abundant family activities that the region has to offer.
Avisha and her team intimately understand the complexities, hurdles, and guidance required for those looking to call South Florida home. With their firsthand experience and in-depth knowledge of the area, they are exceptionally positioned to guide clients through the entire relocation process, from exploring different neighborhoods to finding the perfect home.
If you are seeking a dedicated team to provide comprehensive support and personalized guidance, Avisha Kassir and her team are the perfect partners for your South Florida relocation journey.

Perhaps this is a place you already know and love. Perhaps you’re seeing the sights for the very first time. Miami is like a river; you’ll never step into the same version of it twice. Our culture is constantly shifting shape, growing, surprising, evolving.
Miami is one of the most vibrant metro areas in the U.S. and on its way to becoming one the largest international business hubs in the world. Aside from the more lively atmosphere, Miami is also home to suburbs such as Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, and Doral, which are popular for raising families.
Residents can be found relaxing on the beach, enjoying the trendy nightlife in South Beach, endless shopping opportunities across the region, deep-sea fishing, boat shows, auto racing, golf, tennis, and more.
Our city has quintessentia sabor that must be tasted to be understood. This brings us to this: an exhaustive list of our favorite highlights.
Whether you’re ready to call Miami your new home or you’re just here to visit the late night revelry and surprised by our Instagram-ability, something tells us you’ll find several reasons to be glad you’re here. These are the spots closest to our hearts; may they find their way into yours.
Our agents are here to help across South Florida and beyond. Tour Miami’s most desirable neighborhoods with us.
With manicured parks and abundant golf courses, Aventura has a warm, inviting feel and a thoughtful layout. Most famous for the grand Aventura Mall, this city promises a quiet suburban life within walking distance of restaurants and the beach. Sunny Isles lies just across the Intracoastal, and is a rapidly developing strip of shoreline that’s known for its high-rise hotels, condos, and serene beaches.
Two entirely distinct areas joined by bridges, both neighborhoods share a relaxed vibe and sunny disposition. Bay Harbor comprises two islands—Broadview to the west and Bay Harbor to the east—that function together as an independent village. Also self-governed, Bal Harbour is a small town spanning just over ten blocks on the northernmost side of Miami Beach.
Brickell was settled as a community in the mid-nineteenth century and quickly became known as an affluent Miami neighborhood by the early twentieth century. Towards the latter part of the century, office towers, hotels, and high-rise apartment buildings began to change the city skyline quickly, making it one of Miami’s most densely populated neighborhoods. The neighborhood is known for its international banks, businesses, chic restaurants, and luxury condominiums where space has become a premium.
‘The Grove,’ as it’s known to locals, is famous for both its downtown strip and the bayfront. Its downtown area features the Cocowalk shopping mall, as well as a number of local bars, boutiques, and restaurants in the colorful surrounding blocks. Along the water, you’ll encounter one of Miami’s largest marinas and Peacock Park.
Coconut Grove is also home to the stunning Vizcaya Estate and Gardens, which features Spanish architecture and the most elaborate cultivated garden in the city.
Coral Gables is known for its unique atmosphere—the street signs are made of carved limestone, the streets are named after Spanish cities, and it features beautiful fountains and sculptures in its public spaces. Modeled after turn-of-the-century Venice and Granada and designed with old-world bravado, it offers manicured landscapes, private golf clubs, and stunning Mediterranean architecture. It’s home to regional attractions such as the Biltmore Hotel and Venetian Pool, as well as the University of Miami. Located in central Miami, it features two Metrorail stops within its borders.
Downtown Miami is the central business district of Miami, tracing its history back to the nineteenth century. Downtown has grown and expanded rapidly in recent years to become one of the fastest growing neighborhoods. Downtown has something for everyone and is home to numerous parks, restaurants, museums, and the typical daily conveniences of local life. Within downtown, you will discover new high-rise condominium buildings, hotels, and office towers, all within walking distance.
Edgewater is a residential neighborhood with a Downtown meets Wynwood vibe, climbing to the top of the list of desirable areas to live in Miami. It’s located right in the center of many Miami hotspots – just north of Downtown, a few blocks from the Arts and Entertainment District (Design District, Midtown, and Wynwood) and just over the bridge from Miami Beach. With multiple bayfront parks, access to the free Miami Trolley service, and central location, it’s the perfect place for young professionals and families to enjoy all that Miami has to offer.
On an island just below Miami Beach, the Village of Key Biscayne is a pocket of paradise. This charming neighborhood is nestled between two state parks, the Atlantic Ocean, and Biscayne Bay. Although the Village’s former coconut plantations have been replaced by luxury condos, no amount of development can disturb the vibrant, laid-back island culture of Key Biscayne.
One of Miami’s most exciting neighborhoods, Midtown is a sudden burst of color tucked away in what was formerly a rusty industrial sector. Today, the area is known for industrial-chic art galleries, cutting-edge contemporary skyscrapers, and world-class shopping. Within this diverse district lie four distinct neighborhoods: Wynwood, with its craft breweries, local bakeries, and graffiti-embossed walls; Midtown, featuring trendy dining and luxury condos; Edgewater, containing older homes and bayside high-rises; and the Design District, dominated by the most upscale brand names in fashion.
North Beach is a true neighborhood with a strong local identity. This eclectic town is exalted for its community restaurants and businesses, beachfront high-rises, and unadulterated stretches of beautiful sand. North Beach is most famous for its Collins Avenue high-rises and hotels that, unlike those in South Beach, allow residents to walk straight from building to beach. Away from the shoreline, North Beach is a diverse and vibrant community with an unmistakable small-town feel.
The Art Deco architecture, glittering nightlife, international vibe, and arresting ocean views of South Beach are most commonly what come to mind when visitors picture Miami, and in many ways, the area delivers on its reputation. After all, this dynamic neighborhood boasts many of the city’s iconic restaurants and clubs, all within a stone’s throw of the world’s most famous beach. But look closer, and you’ll find a diverse community of locals drawn together by their love of the water and Miami Beach’s unique culture.
One of Dade County’s fastest-growing neighborhoods, Morningside is quickly evolving into a haven for artists and creative types as well as professionals of all ages. Situated within Miami’s Upper East Side, the neighborhood provides a “best of both worlds” experience, combining the lifestyle options of Midtown with a suburban setting, bay views, and the waterfront vibe.
Miami harbors a vibrant and diverse academic community and continues to make headlines on the international stage. The University of Miami is one of the top research universities in the country and welcomes students and faculty from across the globe. Featuring some of the best schools in the nation, Miami continues to welcome scholars from all backgrounds.
