Technical Education Assistance and Mentoring

The TEAM Careers program at Santa Fe College is a career, educational and mentoring support service for non-traditional students enrolled in Career and Technical Education programs.

TEAM Careers focuses on assisting students who are preparing for a nontraditional field of work. You are a nontraditional student if you are enrolled in a program that leads to an occupation in which either women or men comprise 25% or less of total employment.

Program assistance includes:

• Textbook, laptop, and calculator loans; limited school and lab supplies

• Information and referrals given for Santa Fe College and community resources, such as scholarships, tutoring services and study help

• Valuable newsletters covering scholarship opportunities, study tips and other topics to help you succeed

• Out-of-workforce individuals (Displaced Homemakers)

• Students with disabilities

• Single parents, including pregnant women

• English learners

• Homeless individuals

• Veterans

In addition to nontraditional students, TEAM Careers also assists the following qualifying students who are enrolled in AS and AAS Degree Programs or Career and Technical Certificate programs:
