Second Act: Strategies for Finding a New Career or Job (Livestream) Whether you’re wanting extra income or looking for a new job, do you need help highlighting your skills, work or volunteer experiences and education? Join Career Advisor, Lin Benfield, to discover why you’re a great hire! Discuss whether you’ll need refresher courses to beef up your skills and how to best utilize and build your network. How are you using this gap year, delay in life, or time off work to design your future? This course, adapted from the Stanford Life Design Lab, offers a framework, tools, and most importantly a place and a community of peers where you can develop your worldview, think about what you want out of your life and work, and engage in meaningful transformation through the life design process. The course employs a design thinking approach to help learners develop a constructive and effective approach to finding and designing their lives and vocations. Students will be emailed a Zoom link 24-48 hours before class begins. 2 Fri., Nov. 6 & 20, 9-11 a.m. Instructors: Lindsey Dickinson, Kristy McDonald, & Steve Rice $129 Introduction to Voiceovers (Online) Begin this online course anytime. After enrolling, email info@voicesforall. com to begin the course. Explore the fun, rewarding possibilities of the voiceover industry! Discover current trends and how they make it easy and affordable for just about anyone to get involved. You will learn about different types of voiceovers and tools you will need to find success. Your instructor, a professional voice actor from Voices For All, takes notes as you read a real script in this one-on-one video chat setting, and offers some coaching to improve your delivery. Learning Formats

For most classes (except Face to Face classes), a link to the class is emailed to students the day of class or 1-2 days prior.

Face to Face courses:

Occur face to face in a classroom in an on-campus or off-campus location. Many instructors use email for the course syllabus or other resources to supplement face to face instruction.

Online courses:

These courses take place entirely online. Students are responsible for logging into the course to complete assignments and activities by specific dates. A few courses may also have labs or proctored testing which students are required to complete on-campus throughout the semester.

Hybrid courses:

Blending online, face to face and/or livestream delivery, these courses use a web conferencing tool like Zoom. Most activity is done online, but there may be some required face to face instructional activities, such as lectures, discussions and labs.

Livestream courses:

These courses meet during a regularly scheduled time via a web conferencing tool like Zoom. Email or an online platform may be used to distribute materials, submit assignments and share feedback.
