ORGANIC GALA FASHION SHOW BY ASMITA MARWA

Asmita Marwa Design showcased her new collection, The Gamcha collection at the fashion show of The Organic Gala at N Convention. "The Organic Gala is a rejuvenating mix of the most soul-enriching activities like Yoga, Meditation, Music, Dance, Planet-friendly Shopping, and so much more. It was a day to escape the madness, embrace sustainability, and just flow with the good vibes as you rediscover joy through the most earthy and natural experiences ever. The evening was a great hit with a sustainable fashion show by Asmita Marwa and Live Performance by Threeory Band. The Organic Gala is an annual fundraiser for Democratic Foundation an organization working to forge social transformation in rural India through its flagship Rural Women’s Leadership Program and The Right to Education Campaign. "

Every corner of the party venue was transformed into a magical bear wonderland with a delicious spread, the best beer and beer-based cocktails guests had a gala time with a performance by India’s favourite pop band Best Kept Secret entertained through the night with its first anniversary celebrations of Red Rhino and the official launch of the craft brewery.

It was a glittering evening with the guest pouring in their best attires for the Celebration of the launch of Art Beat Salon, with the maestroduo Sachin and Tanuja, the icing of the event was the Showstopper none other than Malaika Arora at the Park Hyatt Hotel Everyone had a great time witnessing the spectacular fashion show which was lined up after the salon launch majority of the models were flown down from Mumbai for the show

ALIYABAIG ACADEMY OF MAKEUP CONVOCATION

A fantastic Convocation with a fabulous fashion show. So many guests applauded the students who had completed their makeup course. Eventually, students & brand associates received the certificates and awards; it was an evening to remember an extravaganza fashion show lined up with beautiful dresses designed by Karishma, followed by dinner. Guests had a mesmerising time at the event.

ALIVELU

Kiranmayee Alivelu have recently become the 1st runner-up in Mrs India 2022-23. Previously she won Mrs Empress Universe Hyderabad in 2017 and the Mrs Attractive Title in Mrs India Telangana held in 2020. In addition to her passion for the beauty industry, she is a wellness consultant in the fitness industry. She also runs a free consultancy where she provides free job placements for ladies, helping them find their dream jobs and actively participate in Ngo works. Recently she has started an Instagram community to share Inspiring stories of mothers on Mother’s Day.

What is a normal daily routine in your life like?

As per me, no day is normal. I value my daily routine with very positive thoughts and follow the same Trans throughout the day I believe in spirituality and the journey towards it is a light of ray for all your positive thoughts And remaining I will accomplish all my daily needs as it is daily my routine schedule for me.

How did you get into Fitness Industry?

My husband is very passionate and an expert in the fitness industry for many years now His expertise has seeded interest in me to enter into this fitness industry Later I comprehend the pulse of this industry which not only healthy the world but also wealthy the one who renders this service Industry

What inspires and motivates you?

I do follow many inspirational speeches some are Abdul Kalam sir and Sadhguru ji I understand the core intent of such a message and try to implement the same Any hardworking person doing better than me inspires me to learn and achieve more in my life

What is fitness to you?

The term fitness has an unmeasurable depth in has ocean it is our daily livelihood; everyone deserves a healthy and happy life here one has to understand fitness tends to be healthy And healthy tends to happiness and this Happiness tends to be positive in their lifestyle

What do you do in your leisure time?

During leisure hours sometimes I meet my friends and most of the time I take a rest as it is a must for the one who workouts daily. Sleep is the best medicine to align your mental stability and recover your muscle quality

How do you balance your workout routine with your other commitments?

As I said earlier that workout is a livelihood And it would be difficult to balance both the workout and profession but none of them are inferior or superior. Both are important to me So I never give up on these two segments in my life As they have become mandatory in my daily routine schedule. One makes me healthier and the other makes me wealthy

How do you motivate yourself to exercise regularly and keep your diet in check?

Your mirror defines whether you’re healthier or not So, my suggestion to anyone is once when you wake up just see yourself in the mirror this will define you how weak and strong you are Daily workouts and a strict diet plan will sculpt you as per your desired body transformations. I am in with more oxidant fruits vegetables and lowcarb food And I avoid taking sugar, alcohol, ice cream and other junk foods

Any fitness & diet tips which you would like to give?

My suggestion to anyone is your intent to transform must be very strong If you don't have any intention to change then no one can help you...as per me u have to work out daily with any transformation modules such as yoga, aerobics, muscle strengthening, Zumba, functional training and sometimes calisthenics and for diet plan, never follow the same diet plan for a very long time change in diet plan is must for every 45 days interval. a keto diet, low carb, Diet High fiber & Vegan diet. This all works but depends on your stability and focus on such diets

For all these above-mentioned acts one has to take professional advice before you start up.

"I planned to finish dentistry, become a doctor and join the Indian Armed Forces or an IPS officer. I think it's more like destiny making the choices and me just going with it; honestly, I am truly grateful for this one choice that life has made for me as an Actor "

Tell us something about yourself. How is Meenakshi Chaudhary as a person?

I am a very private person but I can also be the craziest person to be around when I am with people who are close to me. I am an ambivert; apart from that, I think I'm a very easy-going person who takes life as it comes and respects and learns from all the lows and highs of my life. I try to stay grounded as much as possible, which gives me the strength to go on with life.

How did your career in acting start? Has acting always been a passion of yours?

I think it was destiny for me to be in this industry and do what I am doing which is acting & I am truly grateful for it but initially, I never planned or thought that I would be working as an actor in this industry I planned to finish my dentistry, become a doctor, or join the Indian armed forces or become an IPS officer. I think it's more like destiny making the choices and me just going with it because I am genuinely grateful for this one choice that life has made for me, and I am trying my best How I got into acting is an amusing story because I was in an acting workshop during my modelling days when I came across a fellow co-actor who later became a very good friend and my co-actor in the first film, No Parking. I met him there, and he asked me if I were interested in doing films down South, to which I answered I would love to as long as I get to Act and did not care what language it six months later, I got a call from the production who flew me down to Hyderabad did a look test. They said that I was suitable for the part after watching my audition clip which Sushant had shown them from the acting workshop days, so truly grateful for my journey. I think I was at the right place at the right time.

What inspires and motivates you?

I think the fact that I evolve with every project and every opportunity that comes my way motivates and inspires me and the people in my life I also believe that you seek inspiration from life in every opportunity and situation. I had ample such situations and opportunities which I am truly grateful for I think it is the never giving up attitude and fighter in me that inspires and motivates me. By the grace of my parents who have taught me to be a strong independent woman who is going to get what she wants in life and work very hard for it, I think that's what motivates me to be a better version of myself every single day and keep evolving.

How do you balance your work routine with your other commitments?

When I keep working on different projects different changes are needed and another time table sets up so when I am working, I try to make sure I get proper sleep at least seven hours of sleep and I try to maintain my diet and eating habits because that is very important for me. While I am shooting and taking care of my health. Apart from that I take it as it comes when it comes to my work and make the necessary changes based on the schedule but sometimes it can be very hectic and sometimes you have some time off, so I try to balance it with those things.

Tell us something that you have never told anyone else?

Well if I tell you it won't be a secret, I'm just going to leave it at that but let's say I am also somebody who has another side of me which is known only to my family and my friends so I think that's one crazy side that only those people get to see.

What's your fitness and diet routine?

I don't follow a set or a particular diet; it keeps changing depending on what I feel or what my body needs, but what I do make sure of doing when it comes to my eating routine diet is that I try and cut down as much as I can eating from outside and eating healthy food also trying not to have junk food but on my cheat days I do I indulge in chocolates or savouries, but I do feel like you deserve to give yourself that one day which motivates you to maintain the quorum of your diet for the remaining days and apart from that, for fitness I do love to have some of the other physical activity happening it can be in the form of sports or can be in the form of yoga. Hence, these are the essential things that I do in terms of me maintaining my routine.

What are some projects that you're currently working on?

Currently, I am shooting for Mahesh Babu sir's film Guntur Karam and starting with Shuk Sen's film Apart from that, two of my Tamil films are releasing In July, so will be busy promoting those in the coming month.

What's the recent thing you have struck off your bucket list?

The biggest and the most prominent thing in my life right now that ticked off my list is being a part of Trivikram Sir's directions, and Mahesh Babu Sir's film, so that has happened, and I'm so grateful for that.

The art organizations have had the artists’ back by providing them with opportunities and a sense of belonging. The Good Talk Factory (TGTF)

Rejected by a then famous platform in Hyderabad, The Good Talk Factory was carved out of the drive to create a platform where every commoner is welcomed to share their story through performing arts With this vision, the founder Mr Raghu inspired a group of individuals who shared the same enthusiasm for the cause What followed was a series of brainstorming sessions, planning, coordinated groundwork, and consistent efforts which resulted in the birth of his very dream The Good Talk Factory TGTF's dream took shape on 15th December 2018 when they organized their first event: ‘MUSING’ Being an amalgamation of different art forms like storytelling, stand-up comedy, guitar gigs, beatboxing, poetry recitations open-mic, this event facilitated profound learning through real-life insights TGTF’s first-ever event was launched by a class 8 student Aafiya from a low-level income school In conversation with us, Mr Raghu mentioned, “If permitted our long-term plans will involve, widening the TGTF voyage to not just Telangana, but also to other cities and states that are a part of vast and incredible India It’s a safari that does not have a fixed destination, though a path that will keep enlarging itself as and with time The objective of TGTF is, for the commoners and by the commoners We challenged the status quo by giving a platform to individuals to share their unheard stories, and amused talents, without imposing the restrictions of popularity on social media, Celebrity status, wealth & other such trivial limitations There was a motive behind all the inspiring adventure of TGTF i e to bring back the forgotten values of common human interactions” The funds received are catered to support child education and help orphanage homes TGTF donated hand sanitizers and masks to frontline workers took to take care 6 women students of degree college by paying their exam fees, raised 3 students from a low-level income school by paying their annual school fees, and also supported a few NGOs

Hyderabad Arts and Culture Community (HACC)

Formed in 2018, HACC was ideated by Faiz Jung and Zakariya Zaki who are poets themselves, to enable artists to take a break from their monotonous life and to provide them a community to collaborate, experience, engage in, inspire and explore all forms of art including poetry, storytelling, painting, writing, music, rap, dance, cooking, stand-up comedy, etc More than an event organizing platform, HACC is a community striving to bring the artist closer to their art and in the process, revive forgotten art forms While providing a treat to art connoisseurs in the form of curated events, collaborative workshops, themed events, and relevant conversations, HACC also organizes open mics giving an opportunity and platform to budding performers HACC has been constantly collaborating with other art houses and communities in the city with the sole aim of giving artists exposure and networking Before lockdown, HACC collaborated with Rekhta (India’s largest Urdu literature community) which was the first time Rekhta’s event was hosted in Hyderabad Apart from this, HACC has previously collaborated with organizations like Anjuman-e-Fannan, My City My Voice, and Speakers of Hyderabad to name a few HACC has also organized workshops on different levels for writing, painting, poetry, and storytelling Recently on the occasion of International terrorism day, HACC organized an event filled with stories from the heart and soulful poetry, meaningful panel discussions, and emotions crafted in art In conversation with us, Zakariya mentions, “The only thing I would like to say to all the artists of the city is to attend more events, make more art, support local artists, promote local art in all capacity Connect to HACC and let’s collaborate ” Instagram: hacc.official

Samahaara Theatre

Samahaara theatre was started by Rathna Shekar who studied theatre & acting at the University of Hyderabad, then Lee Strasberg in New York, and Anjali Koda Rathna Shekar after returning from New York, looked at working with original content, new ideas, involving youngsters, and making theatre happen locally with locals in Hyderabad Anjali Koda was a playwright with new ideas and wrote original plays carefully edited, curated, and performed by Shekar and the rest of the young actors trained by him Later when the Hyderabad Theatre Festival brought in corporates, schools, and colleges alongside big brands and that’s how Samahaara Theatre took off It can rightly be said that Samahaara has a huge contribution to developing a culture of theatre (i e , workshops, training, and paid theatre shows) in Hyderabad Getting professional directors and trained actors meant the audience enjoyed a show and came back for more Since Samahaara is offering weekend, weekday, and diploma courses in theatre and acting already, they are looking to amp it up into doing full-time courses and academic courses that offer multiple streams in arts and media Samahaara has also started a cinema wing named ‘Samahaara Sainma’ and is currently in the process of working on 2 projects in pre-production alongside collab shoots Samahaara has organized 8 theatre festivals, conducted More than 200 Theatre workshops mentoring thousands of actors, produced more than 100 plays, performed more than 400 shows, and participated in several National Theatre Festivals all over India Like the rest of the world, lockdown came with its challenges for Samahaara as well All the plays and workshops planned offline were at a halt So, they switched to taking workshops online In a conversation with us, Samahaara’s team member Mr Arjun mentioned, “One of the most impactful things have been doing the workshops for the public, for schools and colleges and even training teachers and faculty to help create better theatre at that level This adds to the interest and awareness of children and the general audience alike, who then look at perusing theatre as a patron if not a performer Bringing in interested individuals together with seasoned trainers and directors elevated the

quality of theatre and added immensely to the theatre culture of Hyderabad. Nations Rock Beat is a creative house formed to provide a community for professionals working in different fields who have art in their hearts A huge chunk of artists from NRB are from various fields like engineering, commerce, IT employees, and doctors who also happen to be dancers, musicians, poets, theatre artists, etc After college life, it becomes extremely difficult to find art-driven communities and environments and explore opportunities which eventually affects an artist’s drive to create art and more importantly to grow as an artist With a vision of catering to this need, NRB was formed They scout talent and curate their artists on a fairly regular basis These artists meet for various activities, projects, workshops, practice, or jam sessions to develop their skillset and be ready for the stage Their association with Hyderabad Literary Festival (HLF) and T hub needs no specific mention NRB has recently started a community center, a physical space called The NRB den which they hope to convert into an art and culture hub in Secunderabad With NRB den, NRB aims to fill the void that is the lack of cultural centers and clubs, particularly in this part of the city (Secunderabad) This cozy place would be perfect for any intimate events, or art-house gatherings and is open to hosting events, workshops, and studio space for audio and video recordings

Hyderabad Poetry Project (HPP)

If you have been in the art scene of Hyderabad for a long time, especially if you are a poet, there is a good chance that you either started your journey with HPP or performed with them throughout your journey Back in 2014, even though Hyderabad had Urdu Shayari communities and there was a poetry scene, not the same could be said about English poetry and spoken word platforms This intrigued Akshay Tiwari, a co-founder of HPP, and made him start a community called Let’s hear it, where a small number of people gathered to share poetry and feedback Around the same time, Drishti Nagda, the other co-founder of HPP was working on building an organization with similar values, conducting workshops with colleges, and collaborating with event houses across states Later, when Dristi and Akshay met, they realized that the poetry scene in Hyderabad was growing and with a vision of spreading this art of spoken word and providing a platform for English poetry, HPP was formed in 2016 by Akshay and Dristi Initially, the idea behind HPP was to be an open space for newcomers We also wanted to take a different route when it came to our venues, we preferred hangout spots in the city like Moonshine project, Coffee cafes over halls and auditoriums to make this community more visible to the younger crowd and also make art, a part of daily living and not only limited to specific events Unfortunately, in 2018 and later when the co-founders had to move cities, HPP got to a halt point But after the pandemic, HPP revived its stature and has been regularly organizing events since then In conversation with us, Akshay mentions, “We realized at the beginning itself that bringing like minds together and building a safe community space is more important than building an organization Considering both of us had our careers which were doing great, our focus was less on monetary gains and more on sharing art We essentially wanted to make poetry sustainable by doing shows, getting poets paid, and getting them shows We want our poets to be known outside Hyderabad We see language as just a medium to

I was first introduced to makeup in 4th grade when two sisters in my neighborhood taught me how to do eyeliner, I remember being amazed by it and how pretty it made me feel I consider myself a blogger first and then a makeup artist Honestly, I first started creating content when I was going through an existential crisis I was interested in films but that didn’t work out for me My mom and brother pushed me into starting a YouTube channel and that’s where it all started and ever since then, there’s no looking back I fell in love with the process of creating content and I’m also a freelance makeup If I had to choose between being a blogger and a makeup artist then I would say blogging and content creating because I’ll be in charge of the creative freedom I feel like the relationship between makeup and self-love is kind of controversial cause most people think that women wear makeup cause they’re not confident or they’re hiding their insecurities behind a full face of makeup I don’t believe that cause personally I see makeup as a form of art, it’s therapy for me I love getting ready for myself, not to seek validation I wouldn’t lie it took me quite a while to feel comfortable without some concealer but it’s all a part of self-love Like an artist’s painting, for a makeup artist, our face is our canvas Makeup could mean a lot of different things to people such as a way to relax, be creative, or simply just because they love doing it Makeup can also be a hobby, some people play sports every day because they enjoy it I’m so glad that people are considering this a form of art and more people are open to pursuing it A couple of years back it would’ve been a completely different scenario I’m happy to see girls and guys learning more about makeup It doesn’t always mean femininity at least not in this day It’s fulfilling to see brands come up with gender-neutral ad campaigns I would love to take part in any event or activity around makeup Hyderabad has done many fashion and lifestyle events but I haven’t seen anything around makeup I think that would be fun, most of them would enjoy and get to learn new things about makeup

A prevailing lighting trend is the utilisation of hidden or concealed lighting to a great extent, as it creates a minimalistic yet impactful effect. Opting for minimal lighting can greatly influence the overall atmosphere in a space

6. Can you share some tips for optimising lighting in different areas of the home?

I think enhancing focal points with spotlights and placing lighting around furniture rather than above it can create an engaging visual effect. Achieving a balanced lighting scheme by incorporating both warm and cool lights adds to the overall atmosphere

1. How would you describe your philosophy or approach to lighting design?

I strongly believe that lighting as a concept is personal. I do not believe in standardising the concept of lighting as the same for everyone

2. What factors do you consider when designing a lighting scheme for a space?

Lighting is so much more than selecting a fixture and identifying their location. A lot goes into designing a lighting concept for a space. We need to identify several requirements like ceiling height, colours and materials being used in the space, reflection and absorption of light in the given space, etc.

3. Can you explain the importance of lighting design in enhancing the overall ambiance and functionality of a room?

People have become more aware about the importance of good lighting. It has the power to make or break the look of a space. Any good lighting design will deliver on illumination while ensuring it's flexible and efficient. As far as ease of functionality goes, there are so many types of lighting controls available now. Depending on the control one opts for, they will be able to dim the brightness of the light, change the colour temperature, control them from an app or remote, and select from a list of configured lighting scenarios.

4. What are some of the key considerations when selecting light fixtures for different areas of a home or commercial space? A lot of factors are taken into consideration, like the glare factor, right lumen output, wattage, colour temperature and colour rendering index (CRI); as also the fixture's compatibility in the space, its sustainability and the heat output. All in all, lighting should not just work well with the space but also enhance it.

5. How do you incorporate natural light into your lighting design concepts? Our primary focus is artificial lighting and we can trust that the architect will handle it effectively.

6. Can you share some insights into the latest trends or advancements in lighting design? Not being dependent on a primary source is a good way to light up a space. Having secondary or more sources ensures you can create scenes or ambience.
