Hello Beautiful, One of the biggest things I want my life to be remembered by is that I lived a life that inspired others to strive for greatness in their own lives. There are a lot of negative people in the world, but I want to be the positive one that everyone remembers. Remembered because I brought smiles to faces and joy and hope to hearts all over the world. That is a big reason that I started this magazine. I wanted to inspire people all over the globe, that I may never get to meet face to face. If you haven’t guessed it, INSPIRE is the theme for the magazine this month. If our magazine ever inspires you in any way, send us an email. What is the most inspiring thing you have done? I am not completely sure because sometimes you can inspire others and never even know that you have, Hopefully this magazine inspires people everyday. Who’s life has inspired you the most and how? The life of Jesus has inspired me the most. You can read about it in the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. He lived a perfect and sinless life. He miraculously changed lives all over while he was on earth and he still does today.

Karissa Hagemeister is on a life long journey in the pursuit of love, beauty and truth. Not only does she want to discover these things for herself but she desires to share them with anyone willing to watch and listen. Beautiful & Dauntless was birthed out of this desire. She enjoys modeling, acting and singing. She has her own fashion line and in July of 2016, Karissa published her first book. Her future plans are to revamp the fashion & entertainment industry with the love, truth and beauty through both her fashion business and Beautiful & Dauntless magazine.

Arman Irani is just another fellow human. He’s admittedly a little bit nerdy. How nerdy? Well, he just received a Bachelors degree in Nanotechnology. Arman loves working out, cooking healthy, dressing up, traveling and he’s also a bit of a gamer. He has no qualms with moving in faith to new destinations and embarking on new adventures in life (as the phrase goes, you only live once!). When it comes down to it, Arman believes life is short and hopes that you become inspired and believe in yourself to do the things that you want in this life and follow your calling.

Sara Robillard spent the first part of her life growing up in New England, and about a decade ago, she found herself transplanted to Central Florida. Sara is currently working in a full-time marketing position, as well as attending college as a part-time student to earn a degree in graphic design. She has been working in graphic art professionally for over five years (unprofessionally for almost a decade) and truly enjoys creating and telling stories.

When she’s not working or doing homework, Sara is either doing something artsy, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, reading, writing or lounging with her cat, Ruxin.

Arnette German is a native of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She took her leap of faith and finally decided to yield to her passion for fashion by enrolling in the online Graduate Program of Fashion Journalism at Academy Art University in San Francisco, California. No stranger to the stage, Arnette is a member of the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in Sarasota, Florida. Presently calling Bradenton, Florida home, Arnette spends her free time either volunteering at her local church and spending time with friends and family, especially her best friend. Arnette is a foodie and a lover of nature and the arts. Life is definitely, in some shape or form and fashion, being lived to the fullest.

Xiomara Montalvo is a 21 year old graphic designer and visual artist that lives and breathes all things artistic. She has lived in Florida half of her life but is originally from Michigan. Xiomara has a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Southeastern University with a concentration in Digital Imaging. Visual Storytelling has always been a passion of hers. To be able to bring life to the imagination is what motivates her to design. When Xiomara is not working, she loves to read, write, draw, paint, and play video game. She personally believes that we were all created to create. That was the infamous seductive and tantalizing question asked by the legendary Tina Turner during the 80’s. But, to answer her inquiry-plenty! You see as one ponders on what “fuels” one’s Drive; simply put, it would be Love. And an abundance of it. However, in order for these resolves to be achieved, Passion, Heart and Love all must “fuel” one’s Endurance, Commitment, Dedication and Drive to be manifested. And in my love note to you, is to kick your Drive into Overdrive! Be so madly in love with you, your dream(s) and/ or goal(s) that one can see how fervent your passion...your love for what you want is evident because you walk, talk and work at it-daily! Sacrifice is your new norm! Simply desiring something is not enough. Action coupled with planning- scheduling time to work at and on the essentials to allow your “shall be” to come to pass, is the vehicle to get you to your destination but once you make your first pit stop to gas up to get a full tank of Love, Heart and Passion, you’re now fueled up and ready to Drive baby! So, I admonish you, practice what you preach...mean what you say! Don’t just talk the talk...walk it too! Become a mad man about what you want! Put your Drive into Overdrive and just go for what you know! American Fashion Designer, Vera Wang, sophisticatedly said it like this, “The key is falling in love with something, anything. If your heart’s attached to it, then your mind will be attached to it. When you have a passion for something then you tend not only to be better at it, but you work harder at it too. Success isn’t about the end result, it’s about what you learn along the way”. So NOW you can see, “What’s Love Got to Do With It.” And may your Drive be with you...remember to “fuel” up...you hear!

WEIGHTED SQUATS Using a dumbell that is not too heavy for you to lift (I am using 30 lbs), start by spreading your legs shoulder width apart. Make sure all of your weight is in your heels. Squat down by bringing your butt back and down (as if you were going to sit in a chair). Make sure your knees do not go past your toes when you squat. Repeat. Do 1 rep of 20 without any weights to get warmed up. Do 3 more reps of 20 with the weights, for the next 30 days. Position 1

Using a dumbell that is not too heavy for you to lift (I am using 30 lbs), start by spreading your legs a little less than shoulder width apart. Focus your eyes on a spot in front of you. Bend over and bring the weight all the way to the ground but do not let your gaze fall to the ground. Keep it on the spot that you picked out. Lift the weight back up, keeping your arms and legs straight. Repeat. Do 3 to 4 reps of 20 with the weights, for the next 30 days. Position 1

To Inspire is defined as the action of filling someone with the urge or ability to do or to feel something. There are various things, actions, and persons that inspire an individual. From a motivational poster bringing attention and awareness to world hunger, to a child holding the door to a store for an elderly person. In the months previous, we took the time to honor our parents and shared stories on how they always tend to be the greatest inspirations in our lives. They, in turn, have become the most influential aspects within our growth process. Family and friends inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves. Now I challenge us, as a community, to take all the beautiful moments in our lives that inspired us and take the initiative to pay it forward. Aspire to Inspire! Yearn to leave a legacy sized hole in the lives of those around us. As a big sister, I have younger siblings that I am an example for. I strive to instill the belief that the sky isn’t the only limit but the ever expanding universe. As long as they are determined about something and dream farther than the stars than everything is possible. As a coworker, I try to inspire my friends at work to stay positive despite the unpredictable weather here in Florida and to always keep a positive mind set. Here in the Beautiful and Dauntless creative collective, one of our objectives is to provoke some kind of mental and emotional stimulation that causes the viewer or reader to feel something when they participate in the works we create. Our aim is to relate to you, the audience, on a more personal level in hopes of inspiring you to be the light in the darkness and together we can be an Inspiration to the World.

I cannot tell you how many people I have worked with, went to school with, or were friends with who anytime they opened their mouths, they always had something negative to say or something to complain about. Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power of life and death.” People that are always complaining or speaking negatively are speaking death into their own situations and their own life. Whoever has to hear the garbage coming out of their mouth is affected by the death talk as well. Think about the last time you were around someone negative. Did you walk away feeling happy? Excited? Hopeful? No, you walked away feeling sad, tired and deflated. The good news is that as Proverbs 31 women, we are called to a higher standing. We are to be women that speak life to all we come in contact with. We are to speak life over our own life and family. When we open our mouth to speak, we should inspire, bring hope and positivity to every situation. This is one of the aspects of the Proverbs 31 woman that I had to grow into. Up until my twenties, I was always complaining or speaking/thinking negatively. My life sucked. It sucked because my mouth was speaking death into every part of it. I had to retrain my mind and my mouth. It was a long and difficult process. I am still in the process. There are times when I catch myself, beating up myself with my own thoughts and words. Proverbs 31:26 tells us “When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.” Let’s note first off, the Proverbs 31 woman does not speak negatively or go around complaining. The two things she does use is wisdom and kindness, both of which are never present in a negative or complaining conversation. Speaking wisdom shows us that the Proverbs 31 woman thought before she spoke. She knew that people listened to what she had to say, they valued what she had to say and they watched her closely. She wanted to present worthwhile information and value to her peers. She thought and then she spoke. Lastly, she spoke and instructed with kindness. Whenever kindness comes into play in a conversation, you are automatically inspiring the other person with whatever news you are sharing. Kindness is a tool that opens the receiver of the instructions to being willing to abide with whatever you are sharing. When speaking in anger or hatred, the other person will be closed off and uninterested in what you share, even if it is beneficial to them. As we strive to inspire others through our modern day Proverbs 31 woman lifestyle, let us learn to speak positively, with wisdom and kindness. By Karissa Hagemeister

I want to show little girls that a normal looking, curvy woman, like myself, can do anything - even be on a magazine cover! If you are true to yourself, and believe in yourself. Whose life has inspired you the most and how? Victoria Beckham - she worked hard and has proven herself in a very tough, unforgiving industry, by staying true to who she is and by grinding and never giving up. In what way do you want your life to inspire others? Quite simply (but definitely not always easy)… by the way I live my life and the sharing of my testimony. People need inspiration for various reasons but typically, it’s to overcome something in their life. Truth tells me that we overcome by the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony. And the only absolute truth some people may ever come to know is how they see me live life and hearing how Jesus has transformed and impacted my life. This months Dauntless Man is Daniel and his story should teach us all to dig a little deeper in faith and trust in the Lord, and in his mighty power. Our Father, Abba, is a great God only wishing good for all of his creation and wanting us to fulfill our purpose before the second arrival of his son, Jesus. Remember our battles are not physical but rather begin in the mind and manifest outwards into the realm of the flesh. If your going through troubled waters remember your enemies do not know how to swim i.e. (Egyptians and the Red Sea). “Darius the Mede decided to divide the kingdom into 120 provinces, and he appointed a high officer to rule over each province. The king also chose Daniel and two others as administrators to supervise the high officers and protect the king’s interests. Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers. Because of Daniel’s great ability, the king made plans to place him over the entire empire.” (Daniel 6:1-3 NLT) No doubt the anointing of God was upon Daniel and this helped him succeed. It also caused the others administrators to hate on your boy, Daniel. “They were looking for many ways to sabotage him but couldn’t find any except He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy 5 So they concluded, ‘Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the rules of his religion.’” (Daniel 6: 4-5 NLT). So 119 different administrators went to King Darius, “Give orders that for the next thirty days any person who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to you, Your Majesty—will be thrown into the den of lions. And now, Your Majesty, issue and sign this law so it cannot be changed, an official law of the Medes and Persians that cannot be revoked,” (Daniel 6:7-9 NLT). King Darius signed the law and Daniel did what he always did in obedience to the True God and prayed 3 times a day to him. Of Course, seeing as how the

law had been signed, he was arrested and thrown into the lion’s den. Just in case y’all didn’t know, these lions were most likely kept a little past their feeding schedule as they were to get fresh food this evening... aka Daniel. I’m not sure about most of you but I’d be a little scared to be thrown into a den with lions in it. However, even though the King sealed the chamber with his royal seal so that no one could help Daniel escape; God sent one of his Angels to help keep the lion’s mouth shut so that Daniel was able to walk out alive and unharmed the next morning. The King was so surprised and elated that he threw all the 119 people that persecuted Daniel plus their wives and children into the lion’s den, and the lions leaped on the them and tore them apart before they even hit the floor. Talk about a Mighty God and an amazing man who trusts with all his heart in our Abba and his son Jesus Christ. King Darius made this decree, “‘I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end. He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.’ So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian,” (Daniel 6: 26-28). I hope this story inspires you to do the Right thing every time, not to impress your friends family or even yourself but always knowing that God has got your back! No matter what situation your facing, as you read this, know that the Father in Heaven who surpasses all human understanding and intellect loves you, cares about you and doesn’t want harm to happen to you. He has given you clear instructions in the Bible and I just pray that his Holy Spirit will help guide you into making the right choices for your life. Remember that God’s got your back 365/ 7 days a week 24/7. Our job is to be living examples of his word and ambassadors to his kingdom. May the Alpha & the Omega reign boldy in your life. Hello Dauntless, This month’s theme is Inspire. If you read this months Dauntless story hopefully you found it inspirational, I know I sure did. Life has a way of shooting multiple arrows your way and may even cause you to quesiton your role or your purpose in life. However, remember that God is for you and not against you; put your trust and hope in the Lord and he will provide. Let Jesus be the King of your heart and start to see the truth of the Bible unfold in your day to day life. I can’t stress enough that each day every person is in a spiritual battle: the choices you make, the things you listen to, speak about and think about all will eventually affect your reality. Furthermore it’s our job daily to learn to decipher what is wrong and right in our own lives and with the Bible as your guide you can accomplish this. Don’t follow what the World does but what the Word says. “May the Lord bless you and keep you. May he make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord turn his face towards you and give peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 Stay Dauntless Strong! Peace out,

What is the most inspiring thing you have done? I don’t know because people do not normally tell me that I have inspired them. Who’s life has inspired you the most and how? The lives of people that I read about in the Bible. I try to relate myself to them and wonder if I would be able to do the same things they do and wonder if I would have as much faith as them, for example Daniel in the Lions Den.
