SERS™ has been developed with over 20 years of Engine Room Simulator Training experience. We have combined our on-board and academic experience with high level software engineering expertise for development of our state of the art product. With our product, certified by the Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) as Class A (Full Mission), we ensure that the Instructors can utilize an efficient tool in their Maritime Education and Training.
SERS General Description:
• All engine room systems are simulated with interactive over 50 User Interface Panels. All parameters and systems are interconnected.
• Meeting training requirements per STCW 2010 (with Manila Amendments) A-III/1, A-III/2, A-III/4, A-III/6.
• Supports training programs using IMO Model Course 2.07 (2017 Edition)
• Container type ship
• Main Propulsion Marine Diesel Engine: Long Stroke, Two Cycle, Slow Speed with 7 Cylinders. 91 RPM with 21.7 MW power output at %100 Load.
• 3 Diesel Generators: Medium Speed, Four Stroke Super-Charged Engines. Each with 1760kW/2200kVA, 720RPM at %100 Load.

UNIQUE ASSESSMENT FEATURES
o A text based training report generated and transmitted to the Instructor for each trainee for each training session.
o Debriefing Tool: Screen captures generated for each user action and recorded in a historic time order, allowing to monitor and display the complete flow of the trainee actions.
o Instructor station for monitoring the training: Reaction times to malfunctions are displayed and recorded for each trainee for objective assessment. Trainee cannot see the malfunction and must identify the source of the problem using tools provided.
o SERS allows Instructors to easily record and maintain the training records.
o SERS Assessment Editor and Assessment Application allow for grading students for specific training, setup allowed by the Instructor.

(1) Gemi limanda iken çevre kirliliği, yangın ve patlama riski ile kaza sonucunda doğabilecek zararların büyük ölçeklerde olma olasılığı yükleme-tahliye operasyonlarını kritik hale getirmektedir. (2). Bu kazaların oluşmasındaki nedenlerin başında personelin üzerine düşen ağır iş yükü neticesinde oluşan aşırı yorgunluk gelmektedir.(3) Bu çalışmada, insan hatasını ve doğabilecek operasyonel riskleri en aza indirgemek için yükleme ve tahliye operasyonunun operatör tarafından belirlenecek kriterlere göre çalışan bir otomasyon sisteminin oluşturulması hedeflenmiştir. Bu sistemin oluşturulması için gemi stabilite formüllerinden yararlanılarak oluşturulacak bilgisayar programları kullanılacaktır. Bu calismada, literaturde standart test pervanesi olarak yer alan iki farkli gemi test pervanesinin analizleri yapilmis ve performans degerleri hesaplanmistir. Analizi yapilan pervanelerden biri, DTMB 4119 kodu ile adlandirilan, David Taylor model deney havuzunda gelistirilmis, 5 pervaneli bir seriye ait ve dogrulama calismalarinda siklikla kullanilan, 3 kanatli bir pervanedir. Digeri ise VP 1304 olarak adlandirilan, bircok akademik calismada kullanilmis, 5 kanatli ve kanat acilari kontrol edilebilir bir pervanedir. DTMB 4119 ve VP 1304 standart test pervanelerinin analizleri, ANSYS paket programi kullanilarak Hesapli Akiskanlar Dinamigi (HAD) yontemiyle yapilmistir. Hesaplanan performans degerlerindeki hata oranlari degerlendirilmistir. DTMB 4119 pervanesi analiz sonuclari (panel metodu ve HAD yontemiyle elde edilen sonuclar) ve VP1304 pervanesi icin hesaplanan performans parametreleri acik su pervane testi sonuclariyla karsilastirilmistir. Bu calisma ile pervane analiz altyapisi test edilmis olup izlenen yontem HAD analiz altyapisinin bir dogrulama yontemi olarak gerceklestirilmistir.

The experimental investigation of the response of nonlinear systems under random excitation is very valuable both to verify the analytical results and to provide a physical insight into complex response characteristics. In this paper, the response of a flexible beam-tip mass-pendulum system to the wide-band random excitation is observed and analyzed experimentally. The pendulum is attached to the tip mass used as an autoparametric vibration absorber. The concept of the experiment is to determine the energy transfer between the beam and the pendulum due to the nonlinear interaction of the modes of the system. The measurements include time history records, mean square response curves of beam, and the pendulum for different response regimes. Also, sets of experiments were conducted to determine the autoparametric interaction between the two modes of the system in the neighborhood of the autoparametric region. The outcome of this research reveals the scope and limitations of the beam-pendulum oscillator as a potential vibration-absorbing device in applications where random disturbance occurs.
