Michelle Laws

Biography
Michelle Laws was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She earned a bachelor's degree in mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master's degree in sociology from North Carolina Central University, and a Ph.D. in social and behavioral sciences from the Virginia Commonwealth University. Laws’s career experience includes working as campaign press secretary for Congressman Albert R. Wynn and legislative liaison for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health, Development Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services. She serves as the assistant director for a local community health organization and an adjunct professor.[1]
