How Steve was able to remain under the radar in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate until the balance patches stopped

Despite having a roster of 86 characters, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is surprisingly well balanced. This is fairly different from previous entries in the Super Smash Bros. series as the power scaling between the top tiers and the rest of the roster has typically felt pretty noticeable.

By all means, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate isn't perfect considering that there's been plenty talks about potentially banning Steve and even Kazuya from tournament play. However, Steve wasn't always the menace that he's known for being today.

Momochi pulls off the corner-to-corner Ed dream sequence during Street Fighter 6 tournament match

Not too long ago, SNB|Momochi showcased a powerful combo for Ed that deals a ton of damage, builds a ton of meter back, and carries the opponent from one corner to the other. It's been proven to work in an actual match, but is it actually a viable sequence during a tournament setting?

Earlier today during the 5th Topanga Championship, Momochi was actually presented with an opportunity to pull off the combo during a match up against BC|Tachikawa, who also happened to be playing as Ed but with Modern Controls. By this point in the set, Momochi was already up 2-0, but found himself down the next round and in the corner against Tachikawa.

Bandai Namco Studio 2 & Studio S has seemingly filled its job positions for a Nintendo side-view action game

As noted by Stealth on X (formerly known as Twitter), Bandai Namco's Studio 2 & Studio S no longer appear to hiring to fill positions within their company. This is significant as we last heard that Studio 2 & Studio S were seeking experience in action games, some of which are specifically said to be at the "side-view."

Additionally, Studio 2 & Studio S already has a pretty outstanding track record as they were the developers behind Mario Kart 8, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Kart Tour, Mario Sports Superstars, ARMS, Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS, Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Notably, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are some of the best-selling games on the Nintendo Switch.
