Mortal Kombat 1 server maintenance coming this morning for new update to fix Homelander issues and more

After releasing last September, Mortal Kombat 1 is approaching the end of its first season of content, but there's at least a few more updates to get through first.

NetherRealm Studios has announced that MK1 is about to undergo server maintenance this morning, June 18, to bring a new update to the game.

According to the official post, Mortal Kombat's maintenance period is scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET, and though it's not stated how long the downtime will last, you can probably expect it to be around 2–4 hours judging by previous updates.

During this time, all online functionality will remain unavailable including matchmaking, leaderboards, rewards, the in-game shop and more that require an internet connection.

The team confirms this new update is meant to fix several issues present in MK1 and specifically for Homelander after he launched earlier this month.

This likely includes removing Homelander's infinite blockstring and re-nerfing Cyrax's Kameo after it was inadvertently buffed back to his former glory.

Players hoping this patch would also contain Ferra are going to need to wait a while longer, however.

NetherRealm also announced the release date for Takeda alongside a delay for the final Kameo to coincide their launch together.

Stay tuned to EventHubs for more updates and the full patch notes for Mortal Kombat 1 as soon as they become available.
