3.5 stars I enjoyed this one! Margo's character was really interesting to follow, even though I didn't always agree with her decisions. I don't necessarily care to read stories about the struggling single mother, but the OnlyFans storyline kept me so invested and intrigued. I like the social commentary on doing something like OnlyFans and how people perceive you in a certain way, and the difference between men and women doing sex work, and how society is so much harsher on women, it was interesting. I thought the ending was good, but I wanted a harder emotional punch, I guess. The audiobook was great though, it's narrated to Elle Fanning so that was really cool! I listened to it all in one afternoon.

I am so shocked that I ended up enjoying this book as much as I did! I haven't really enjoyed any books I've read from this author, but I was hearing great things about this one, so I decided to give it a go, and I'm so glad I did! This book was so fun and such a quick read. I love getting all 3 siblings POV's, their relationship was toxic but interesting and complicated, they had a lot of history there and haven't spoken in years. We also get their Mom's POV from back in the 90's, which I also really liked. I was invested in the mystery of this book, and I was pretty surprised by some things that happened at the end, I didn't see it coming and I really loved the final chapter of this book. I also liked that this book had less romance and felt a little more serious in tone than the other books I've read from this author.

Ahhhh, this surprised the hell out of me. When I saw the synopsis said Schitts Creek meets The Bear, I got very excited and honestly, this book delivered on that. I LOVE that it takes place in a small town in Oregon in the PNW, I love that it's a next door neighbors kind of romance. I love that Fisher is a really well-respected chef from NYC, he definitely reminded me of Jeremy Allen White's character from The Bear, and the small town in Oregon was giving all the Schitts Creek vibes. I love how Fisher is taking care of his niece, and he's her guardian now, their relationship was insanely cute.
There were so many moments this book that actually made me laugh out loud, it was f*cking hilarious. I loved these two characters, Sage and Fisher had such great chemistry. It's rare that I actually enjoy reading the steamy scenes in romance books, but like low key some of these scenes had me blushing and shit like they were so hot together. I annotated and tabbed the hell out of my copy haha, like I can see myself rereading this in the future. My only *small* complaint is that I wanted even more scenes of Fisher actually cooking, I feel like I didn't get enough of that in this book haha but otherwise it's perfect!
I'll definitely have to check out more books from this author after loving this one as much as I did!

This is a book I wanted to love more than I did! It had so many things going for it, I LOVE the fact that he's an astronaut, I LOVE that this has fake dating AND roommates to lovers, all some of my favorite romance tropes. I was really enjoying it in the first half, but in the second half I got so bored. I didn't LOVE the conflict in the 3rd act, and I felt like they had better chemistry before they actually got together lol, once they got together, I wasn't as invested anymore.

Let me preface this with saying I love this author: The Charm Offensive and Kiss Her Once For Me are both 5 star books for me, some of my all time favorite romance books, so I was very excited to read this one even though it has some tropes I don’t usually enjoy. And this kills me to feel so meh about a book that everyone seems to be loving so much.
This book took me 4-5 days to read, which is such a long time for me. I am usually the type of reader to finish a book in 1-2 days but for some reason with this one I wasn’t as excited about picking it back up to read so it took me so long to get through it.
Here are some of my thoughts: •I’m not a huge fan of childhood friends to lovers, second chance romances, or reading about road trips in general so I might not even be the right audience for this •I also really hate miscommunication in romances and I feel like there was an excessive amount of it in this book •I thought Logan was obnoxious as f*ck, and she has the personality of a thirteen year old boy, especially in the first half of this book •I kind of hated how Logan and Joe would team up and tease Rosemary for being uptight about certain things when Rosemary had a very valid reason for doing most of the things she did and her reactions most of the time were fair (especially with the weed scene?) •The “Demi fucking Lovato” and cussing with celebrity names got old so fast and got really annoying and repetitive •I loved the writing in this about the landscapes, but especially the descriptions of the PNW at the beginning of this •Joe is the best character by far, he’s freaking great I loved him. •The ending did make me cry, I thought the ending was beautiful and so well done, but also like damn those sad scenes really got dragged out and it was so sad to read this

2.5 stars It’s been a long time since I last read poetry, even though I used to really love it. This collection was just okay, some poems really worked for me. I especially loved the poems reflecting on childhood and growing up, and talking about nature.
But some of these felt so random and out of place? There was an entire section of poems about Adam and Eve and I feel like I could’ve done without that personally.

I was so so so excited for this book because the premise sounds like it would be right up my alley! A light magical realism type of story where a different husband comes down from the attic every time, he goes up there? I love anything related to the idea of alternate universes and parallel realities and all that fun stuff, so I couldn't wait. There were some things I really loved about this, it was way more lighthearted and sillier than I was expecting, but overall, the tone really worked for me. I think this concept was so fun and interesting.
I think my biggest critiques though are that the book started to get a little repetitive after a while. And even after spending 350 pages with the main character I still don't really feel like I know anything about her. I guess I just wish the characters were more fleshed out in this. It sucks to only give this 3 stars because this is a 5 star concept for me, but the execution of the story wasn't my favorite -- but this idea had so much potential!!!
I'd still recommend if you want something that is easy to read, and something that is a little silly but still interesting.

Ahhhh, this was such a fun read! Such a fast paced thriller with multiple POV's, and short chapters! I loved how this took place in Italy and France but also in a small town in Kansas. I was very invested in the mystery throughout the story and there was one plot twist about halfway through that took me OUT, I did not see that coming and I was thrilled haha. The ending was just okay for me, but I still had such a fun time I had to give it 4 stars.

I am trying to read more nonfiction this year, and I really connected with this idea of languishing and wanted to learn more. Languishing is not exactly the same thing as being depressed, but they can also go hand in hand, but languishing is more like feeling you lack a purpose in life and feeling incredibly unmotivated and discouraged and kind of going through life 'in a fog'. I've been feeling a little slumpy lately with life and I feel like I've been experiencing languishing, so it was definitely interesting to learn more about it. Some of this worked for me, and some of it didn't. I don't typically read a lot of self help, some of it felt a little preachy to me at times, especially when it came to talking about religion and spirituality. But I do feel like I learned a few things, or it at the very least got me thinking about certain aspects of my life I could improve, which is why I wanted to read it. I'm glad I read it.

2.5 stars??? What the heck. I am so SAD that I didn't really like this one that much. I am the biggest Dead Romantics and Seven Year Slip STAN, I gave both 5 stars, and I'm not really sure what happened here with this one. But damn, I was so bored in this story. I didn't care about anything that was happening. This may be in part due to the audiobook, I mainly listened on audio, and I found the narrator's voice to be so incredibly annoying. I just was not vibing with the audiobook, and because of that I think I struggled to connect with the characters and the story. Some of the story just felt so cheesy and I cringed so many times. It was also so repetitive like damn if I have to hear about his "minty" eyes or the way he "smells like black tea" one more time I'm going to scream!! It was excessive.
I'm just so upset because I went into this book assuming I would love it, and it was so mehhhh and so forgettable for me. But take my review with a grain of salt because everyone else seems to be loving this one too, so maybe it's just me idk. I'll still be reading everything this author comes out with in the future.

I am freaking HEARTBROKEN that I didn't enjoy this book. For those who don't know, this is the 3rd book in The Kind Worth Killing series. I don't know why this book has a completely different title and cover that doesn't match the rest of the series, but the first 2 thrillers in this series were both 5 star reads for me, some of my favorite thrillers of all time. So, I went into this expecting to love it. I was sooooo let down. It sucks too because this one started off with so much potential, I was so INVESTED in part 1, I was convinced this would be a new favorite too. But then part 2 and part 3 were so boring and repetitive and the characters became so obnoxious, it was infuriating. The final nail in the coffin was the ending, what the actual f*ck. I wanted to scream I really didn't like how this book ended, it was so anticlimactic and something that was easy to predict from the first page of this book.

I wanted so much more from this. I was so excited at the idea of a book about a game show where people compete for ten million dollars. But I thought the games were actually so boring? And not that interesting, a little over the top and ridiculous but in a cringey way. I thought some of the twists were so obvious. All the characters read like one dimensional stereotype. The first half I almost debated giving this book one or two stars, but the second half improved quite a bit, enough for me to raise the rating to 3 stars. Even though I still think it ended up being pretty predictable. For a book about a game show, it should not have been this boring.
I made a Patreon extended vlog where I feature this book and talk about it in great details, with spoilers included, so if you'd like to see all my thoughts, you can see that vlog here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/99876575

It feels wrong to call this book a thriller, because it's not really. I'd classify this book as a literary suspense type of book, but even then it's really a slow burn that takes a long time before the "action" of the story really picks up. If you are reading this just for the home invasion aspects, I think you might be disappointed because this story has a lot of flashback scenes and is really more of a character study of our unnamed protagonist. This book had some really strong social commentary that I really enjoyed, and thought added so much to the story. I really loved the ending, I thought it was surprising, but some of the pacing in the middle of this book really dragged for me.

This book was so interesting! I've been listening to this one on audio over the last several days (thanks to Libro.fm for the advanced listening copy!) and I was so excited every time I got a chance to pick this back up and continue listening.
This is a very unique sci-fi story that follows form the perspective of Annie, an AI robot who was created basically as a sex robot for this guy Doug. It was so fascinating to follow from her POV for the entire book, and this book really makes you question what is it that makes us human? It was interesting to see Annie's character grow and develop over the course of the book, I loved the subtle feminist messages this book had. Learning more about these AI robots (or Stella's as they call them in the book) was so fascinating!
I almost wish it was longer, which I don't usually say about books, but I just want to read more about what happens next, and I would definitely read another book that takes place in this universe.

Closer to a 3.5 but rounded down This book was entertaining. I love thrillers that follow writers, and I love that this takes place on the California coast. What I didn't love was the amount of romance in this book, which I wasn't really expecting, and the protagonist could be a little annoying at times ignoring every single red flag this man threw her way. This book kind of read like a more vanilla version of Verity by Colleen Hoover, lol. It never got quite as interesting or unhinged as that book did. It also reminded me a lot of The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins.

4.5 stars Ahhh, I had so much fun with this book! The most fun I've had with a thriller in a long time. This book was so fast paced and intense!! I was holding my breath most scenes, I loved how it would go back and forth between different POV's! We get about 4 POV's in this book, the only POV I didn't love was the detective POV, but that's probably just me because I usually don't love detective POV's. I love the trope of two strangers meeting and deciding to kill for each other, but this book added even more layer to the story that made it fun and different. This book managed to surprise me quite a bit at the end too! I highly recommend checking this one out when it publishes!!!

This book was cute. From my understanding, this is Ali Hazelwood's first YA romance, and I enjoyed it for the most part. I loved Nolan as a love interest, he's a sweet little bean, and I also liked that ALi Hazelwood stepped away from STEM and science for once and wrote about Chess players, something unique and different, I don't think I've ever read about Chess matches like this.
I think Mallory as a protagonist could be a little annoying sometimes, but for the most part I enjoyed her romantic chemistry with Nolan, and I loved her relationship with her family. I think this book is going to spark a lot of conversation about what makes a book Young Adult? Because there was a lot of talk about sex in this book, she talks about how she loves casual sex and uses tinder all the time, and there are somewhat graphic sex scenes in this book. I know the main character in 18 and I think the love interest is 20? But I'm confused on if this is young adult because the characters are young or if this is supposed to be a book for teens? I just haven't read a YA book before that talks about sex this much so I thought that was interesting and might be good to know before reading.
Also, the pop culture references did get a little out of hand and they were over the top, but also this book mentioned BTS three separate times, and because I am a fan of them, and I RARELY see them talked about in books those moments had me super giddy and excited so there's that.

This book has such great characters that I cared about so much, that the ending moved me to tears. I definitely get why this is comparable to Matt Haig, it does feel like a very similar writing style. I loved the conversations about happiness and grief, and all of those emotions, it was so well done. This is everything I love in a mystery thriller, it's shocking and has GREAT plot twists, but it also has that emotional pull where you really get lost in the writing and care about the characters too. The ending is chaos in the best way for me.
