En el siglo XVIII, la tratadística destacó por su importancia en la formación del arquitecto. La fundación de la Academia de Artes de San Fernando (1752) y el interés por el estilo neoclásico facilitaron la traducción de distintos tratados europeos y la redacción de otros nuevos tratados (españoles) de gran trascendencia en la educación de los arquitectos al nuevo gusto. El tratado de Domingo de Andrade (1695) fue de gran importancia por establecer la formación académica erudita del arquitecto, frente a la de carácter artesanal. De los tratados más representativos que se editan en estos años de transformación, se enuncian brevemente los que más aportan al ideal del arquitecto ilustrado. Se destaca, por último, las características generales del arquitecto academicista y que, en conjunto, homogenizaron el diseño arquitectónico en torno al nuevo gusto de la época, el neoclásico.

Né le 10 Juin 1660, marié à Peyruis en Mai 1686 à Marguerite BESSON,  † le 09 Mai 1734 âgé de 74 ans. Enseveli le 10 Mai dans la chapelle Saint Roch. Accompagné lors des obsèques d’Antoine FAUCHIER fils et de Jean TIRAN curé de Peyruis.

La ricerca propone un affondo nella storia, ben poco nota, della adolescenza e giovinezza del futuro duca di Modena Francesco III d'Este (1698-1780). La formazione del giovane principe, oltre alla fondamentale presenza di Ludovico Antonio Muratori, poté contare su una serie di viaggi nelle principali città italiane, da Venezia a Roma, durante i quali emerse un vivo interesse per le arti figurative, l'architettura e la musica.

Müntehab-ı Âliye, Seyit Ali Rızâ Bey tarafından XVIII. yüzyılda tertip edilmiş bir tıp eseridir. Bu bildiride, tıp yazmalarıyla ilgili araştırmalara katkı sağlamak amacıyla daha önce üzerinde bir çalışma yapılmamış olan bu eser tanıtılmıştır. Bunun için Türkçe tıp metinleri ile ilgili kısa bir giriş yapılmış, Rızâ Bey’in biyografisi ve eserin tespit edilebilen nüshalarıyla ilgili bilgiler verilmiş ardından da eser, muhtevası yönünden incelenmiştir. İncelemede eserin başında yer alan kasidenin şekli ve türü ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiş, ardından eserdeki ilaç terkiplerinin neler olduğu, faydaları ve kompozisyonu belirtilmiş ve eserin sonunda yer alan halk hekimliği ve halk inanışlarına dair kültürel içerikler örneklenmiştir. Sonuçta, Müntehab-ı Âliye’nin kaynaklarının çeşitliliği, tıp ve eczalık tarihine katkı sağlayabileceği ve Türk dili, edebiyatı ve kültürü açısından da değerlendirilebilecek bir eser olduğu vurgulanmıştır.

Ignacy Aleksander Cetner is one of the lesser‑known and a man who rendered great service to the culture magnates of the Saxon and king Stanisław August Poniatowski era. His French formation resulted in artistic foundations – his main residence in Krakowiec was based on French designs, was designed with a garden by a French architect, Pierre Ricaud de Tirregaille and decorated with a complex of stone sculptures chiseled by Pierre Coudray. Krakowiec lanadscaping consisted of a palace and two perpendicular to it, twin annexes embracing a rectangular cour d’honneur with an entrance gate on the axis. Until the 20th century side annexes had been preserved. The palace was a more magnificent structure, on the plan of an elongated rectangle, with a middlel avant‑corps raised by one storey. The main part was a single‑storey building on the plan of an elongated rectangle with three avants‑corps. The side avants‑corps of garden facade are crowned with small parapets with dormers. The middle avant‑corps`s parapet was crowned by the extended cartouche held up by putto in the rocaille type with panoply and a garland. The garden elevation was almost identical. The lanadscaping was an example of a solution in the palais entre cour et jardin type. The buildings` complex was preceded by a courtyard closed by a stately gate, while at the back there was a geometric garden in the French type with a long channel on the axis. The garden were planted with exotic trees and shrubs which Krakowiec was famous for. Cetner’s order for twenty‑four stone figures by Pierre Coudray to the garden remains an unknown fact. At Lviv Stefanyk National Science Library`s preserved archives allow to trace the creation`s circumstances of the sculptural, design by Pierre Coudray, for the residence in Krakowiec. It is possible that Coudray was also responsible for the sculptural decoration of the palace: a rocaille cartouche held up by a sitting putto, decorated with a garland and panoply plunged from behind. Probably this architect designed the garden, determined the number of figures and assigned their place. It is important to emphasize the interest that Ricaud has for the gardens` planning art. His one‑storey, developed horizontally palaces he designed in close connection with them, valuing the ground floor as bel étage and reluctantly rising up more storey. That was also the case in Krakowiec. A two‑storey hall, as well as offices in the corner avant‑corps, are connected to the garden with porte‑fenetres preceded by steps. This is an example of the direct joining the palace ground floors’ interiors to a geometric garden which is a kind of stately rooms` prolongation in nature, often found in Ricaud’s work.

В статье рассматривается среднеазиатская политика хана Младшего казахского жуза Абулхаира в 1730 - 1740-х гг., стремившегося утвердиться в Хивинском ханстве лично либо посредством своего сына на ханском престоле. Осуществлению этих планов помешала завоевательная политика персидского шаха Надира Афшара, захватившего в начале 1740-х гг. Хивинское ханство. Российские власти, не имея возможности действенно влиять на хана Абулхаира, вступившего в российское подданство, сдержанно реагировали на его внешнеполитические шаги, по возможности стараясь не обострять с ним отношения.
In article the Central Asian policy of the khan Mladshego Kazakh жуза Abulkhaira in 1730 - the 1740th, seeking to be approved in the Khivan khanate personally or by means of the son on a hansky throne is considered. Implementation of these plans was prevented by aggressive policy of the Persian shah Nadira Afshara which has taken at the beginning of the 1740th. Khivan khanate. The Russian authorities, without having opportunity is effective to influence the khan Abulkhair who has entered the Russian citizenship, frostily reacted to its foreign policy steps, whenever possible trying not to fuel with it tension

Este artículo revisa y conecta diferentes eventos, construcciones urbanas y cartografías históricas de Nueva York en el marco cronológico definido por 1783, año de la firma del Tratado de París –que acabó con la guerra de la independencia americana–, y 1811, cuando el Plan de los Comisionados estableció el modelo urbanístico para hacer de la ciudad una metrópolis a la par de las grandes capitales europeas. Durante este breve pero intenso período –no tan estudiado como a veces se piensa– se sentaron las bases materiales e inmateriales (físicas e identitarias) del Nueva York actual. Este trabajo se centra en la activa e importante contribución que dos disciplinas, la arquitectura y la cartografía, hicieron al mencionado proceso.

This essay reviews and connects different events, urban constructions and historical cartographies concerning New York in the chronological framework defined by 1783, the year of the signing of the Treaty of Paris –ending the War of the American Revolution–, and 1811, when the Commissioners’ Plan established the urban planning model to make the city a metropolis on a par with the great European capitals. During this brief but intense period –not as studied as it is sometimes thought– the material and immaterial (the physical and identity) foundations of the current New York were laid. This work focuses on the active and important contribution that two disciplines, architecture and cartography, made to the mentioned process.

"Resumo. Partindo da análise plástica de três objetos, procuramos encontrar a relação entre a prática da constrição do corpo feminino e a domesticação da mulher teorizada por Virilio. Tomando a moda ocidental no que se considera como seu início no século XVIII, e em seu momento atual, apoiamos a análise na teoria dos regimes de interação de Landowski, além de seus textos sobre a moda e a sociedade.

A promising scientific direction for today is the historiography of international relations. It involves the study of many theoretical and practical aspects. Today there are virtually no historiographical studies of fortification systems as one of the factors of international relations. The methodological basis for this study was a historiographical method combined with other general scientific methods. The logical and problem-chronological methods are also used. The source of the work was the scientific research of contemporary Ukrainian authors. The aim of this paper is to introduce the reader to the achievements of current Ukrainian historiography with regard to research into fortifications situated in the territory of the present-day Ukraine. It has to be noted that the researchers discussed in the paper have studied the fortifications from different perspectives, describing them as military installations, historic sites, architectural complexes, but also as cultural phenomena, having an unquestionable influence on the existence of the fortification crew and the local community. The study is a Ukrainian version of the publication “Historyk w świecie szańców, bastionów, rawelinów…. XVIII-wieczne obiekty fortyfikacyjne leżące na terenach dzisiejszej Ukrainy we współczesnej historiografii ukraińskiej”.

Передмова до видання книги архиєпископа Мелетія Смотрицького "Apologia" (1627) з паралельним перекладом українською мовою розглядає твір як зламний етап у творчій еволюції полеміста, простежуючи передумови цього зламу та його вияви на рівні трансформації образної мови.

Археологические исследования на территории Орловской крепости проводились регулярно, начиная с 1902 г., краеведами и археологами краеведческого музея, составляя основу для разного рода научных, а часто и околонаучных дискуссий вокруг вопроса основания крепости и ее ранних этапов. В 2015 г. Орловским отрядом ИА РАН были проведены археологические исследования на территории центральной части городища Орловской крепости, которое расположено на стрелке рек Ока и Орлик в центре современного города Орла, на вытянутом мысу левого берега реки. Раскоп был заложен в центральной части парка, в 25 м к востоку от памятного камня, установленного в центре парка. Общая площадь исследованной раскопками территории составила 36 кв. м. Мощность напластований культурного слоя на раскопанной площади – 3,0–3,1 м. Все слои почвенного профиля маркируются четкими переходами между собой, имеют уникальный набор физико-морфологических характеристик, а также комплексы находок, позволяющие соотнести их с хронологическими этапами жизни данного участка стрелки мыса. На уровне 0,8 от материка были выявлены первые погребения, которые располагались двумя горизонтами. В верхнем преобладали разрушенные, детские и перезахоронения (рис. 1). Все они были выявлены непосредственно в слое, следы могильных ям совершенно не прослеживались. Датировка этого яруса может быть в пределах XVII – начала XVIII вв. Вероятно, перезахоронения осуществлялись в связи со строительством кирпичного строения №2. Из разрушенных погребений происходит один наперсный псевдоэнколпион с изображением Никиты Бесогона и обломок нательного крестика с плоской петлей из сплава светлого цвета. Кроме того, был найден латунный перстень с овальным щитком, украшенным точечным орнаментом. В слое также были найдены стрелы различных типов, картечины и пули. Нижний ярус погребений в некоторых случаях имел могильные ямы, заглубленные в материк на 20–30 см. Погребения были не потревожены. В предматериковом слое были выявлены фрагменты древнерусской керамики XII–XIII вв., единичные фрагменты роменской лепной керамики и обломки сосудов эпохи неолита, а также многочисленные кремневые орудия. По всей вероятности, к древнерусскому слою относится овручcкое шиферное пряслице. Погребения могут быть датированы второй половиной XVI – первой половиной XVII в. В общей сложности исследовано 25 погребений, из которых к антропологическому анализу были привлечены 32 человека. В целом выборка отличается большим количеством детских захоронений (47%), в котором преобладают умершие во время первых лет жизни, а также новорожденные дети. Так, в погребении №1 женское погребение молодой девушки сопровождалось останками младенца. Малочисленность изученной группы, переотложенный характер и фрагментарность погребений верхнего горизонта не позволяет делать выводы об эпохальной динамике изменения признаков. В целом отмечено преобладание мужского населения (66%) над женским (34%) и повы-шенным уровнем травматизма различной этиологии (зажившие переломы верхних и нижних конечностей, скелета лица). На скелете молодого мужчины из погребения №20, помимо ярко выраженного костного рельефа в местах прикрепления мышц и энтесопатий, в левой тазовой кости обнаружен наконечник стрелы с фиксируемым входным отверстием диаметром 15 мм и выходным 8,5 мм, что, по-видимому и послужило причиной смерти индивида. Погребение может быть датировано концом XVI – началом XVII в., временем раннего существования крепости и активных военных конфликтов на южных рубежах Московского государства. Для ряда черепов хорошей сохранности А.В. Рассказовой (ИЭА РАН) была выполнена графическая реконструкция облика.

Capítulo dedicado al establecimiento de la Junta Superior de Real Hacienda en Nueva España a partir de la Ordenanza de Intendentes de 1786. El trabajo reconstruye la manera en que este tribunal atendía expedientes relativos al erario regio, la participación de sus miembros con respecto a la toma de decisiones y la forma en que se generó una operatividad distinta a la dictada por la normativa escrita.

This contribution attempts to highlight the relationships between University and academies in Bologna during the early modern period. Starting from the observation of the world of jurists, before considering doctors and philosophers , sources related to the life of the local Studio are analysed. As a result, a complex relationship emerges allowing to reconsider the traditional vision of a University that is clearly separated from the academies. Le premier volume des Questions sur l'Encyclopédie de Voltaire s'ouvre sur l'article «Académie», que le philosophe rédigea vraisemblablement aux alentours de 1769 1. L'incipit de cet article plonge immédiatement le lec-teur au sein des tensions qui ont marqué les rapports entre académies et universités à l'époque moderne. Pour décrire les traits qui caractéri-saient les académies, Voltaire utilise en effet le procédé de la comparai-son par antithèse, où le terme de comparaison est l'université: «Les aca-démies sont aux universités ce que l'âge mûr est à l'enfance, ce que l'art de bien parler est à la grammaire, ce que la politesse est aux premières leçons de civilité». Voltaire reprenait ainsi, en la renforçant, la distinction plus traditionnelle adoptée par d'Alembert dans l'Encyclopédie au même article, où l'on pouvait lire que:

Mini-mémoire réalisé en deuxième année de Master, dans le cadre d'un séminaire sur Poullain de La Barre et la recherche de l'égalité des sexes. Je me suis intéressée ici aux enjeux d'un texte latin parodique du XVIe siècle, traduit en français au XVIIIe siècle, qui veut démontrer en imitant une secte chrétienne hérétique que les femmes ne sont pas des êtres humains, en prenant comme socle de son raisonnement le texte biblique et un événement historique bien réel, à savoir le concile de Mâcon (en 585 de notre ère environ), qui débattit sur la question de l'humanité des femmes...

Le mythe est bien connu : le XVIIIe siècle aurait vu naître des lieux édifiés pour plaisirs d’une classe sociale fortunée et bien souvent oisive, de petites maisons aux allures modestes constituant de discrets rendez-vous galants, des pavillons isolés composés de quelques pièces luxueuses que l’on ne découvrait qu’une fois la porte franchie et qui participaient d’une mécanique séductrice savamment mise en place par le libertin. Cette légende de la petite maison repose toutefois sur une réalité tangible : ces édifices apparus au début du XVIIIe siècle se dénombrèrent bientôt par dizaines aux alentours de Paris. Les campagnes successives d’agrandissement et d’assainissement menées au XIXe siècle ont conduit à la disparition d’une importante part du bâti faubourien, et notamment de ce type d’habitat innovant. La maison Le Prêtre de Neubourg, édifiée par Marie-Joseph Peyre aux confins du boulevard du midi, est l’une de ces petites maisons et elle connut au XVIIIe siècle un succès notable. Pourtant, la découverte et l’analyse de documents d’archive inédits révèlent un édifice différent de celui qui nous est traditionnellement présenté, nous conduisant ainsi à envisager les raisons de la diffusion d’une imagerie trompeuse. La prise de liberté dans la reproduction d’un édifice ne revêt-elle pas un sens tout particulier dans le climat de régénération de la capitale ?

The political relations between the Ottoman and the Spanish empires around the Mediterranean reached its peak during the 16 th century. However, these two great powers were challenged by the new powers and due to this threat they abandon the struggle around the Mediterranean by the end of the 16 th century. The Ottomans and the Spanish sign a truce rather than a formal peace. Throughout the 17 th and the 18 th centuries the Ottoman and the Spanish Empires lost their power as the primary forces in the world politics. This article aims to understand the Ottoman-Spanish Peace Treaty in 1782, and bring a comparative look to the Ottoman-Spanish relations.
