Charging that the FDNY's application test was rigged against minorities, the Justice Department filed a bombshell discrimination lawsuit against the city yesterday that could radically change the face of the Fire Department. The suit could lead to the retroactive hiring of hundreds of minority-group candidates who took the test as far back as 1999. "The Justice Department is wrong, and we'll see 'em in court," said Bloomberg, who said he personally made the city's case to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. (Daily News)
