Telangana Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 Live: Counting for all the 17 constituencies in the state are under way including Adilabad, Peddapalle, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Zahirabad, Medak, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Chevella, Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Bhongir, Warangal, Mahabubabad and Khammam.

According to the exit polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress are both expected to secure between 7 to 9 seats each.

Simultaneously, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), led by Asaduddin Owaisi, is predicted to hold its ground with a projection of securing between 0 to 1 seat.

The closely contested projections between the BJP and Congress signal a shift in the political dynamics of Telangana, traditionally dominated by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). With both national parties making significant inroads, the electoral battle in Telangana appears to be heating up.

A total of 525 candidates are contesting for 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, which is witnessing a three-cornered contest among ruling Congress and opposition BRS and BJP.

A total of 3,17,17,389 voters comprising 1,58,71,493 men, 1,58,43,339 women, and 2,557 third gender were eligible to cast their votes in Telangana in all 17 Lok Sabha constituencies on May 13.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi is seeking re-election from the party's bastion of Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency and the BJP has fielded a political novice but enthusiastic K Madhavi Latha who has begun a spirited campaign.

Telangana Lok Sabha elections 2024: Congress candidate leading by over 12,955 votes in Secunderabad Cantt bypoll in Telangana

Congress candidate Sriganesh was leading by 12,955 votes against his nearest BJP rival Vamsha Tilak T N at 4.35 PM as the counting of votes progressed on Tuesday in the bypoll to Secunderabad Cantonment constituency in Telangana.

Sriganesh secured 51,226 votes, while Vamsha Tilak got 38,271 votes. BRS candidate G Niveditha obtained 32,784 votes. The bypoll to the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency was necessitated due to the death of sitting BRS MLA G Lasya Nanditha in a road accident earlier this year.

Niveditha is the sister of Lasya Nanditha. Polling for the 17 Lok Sabha seats and the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly in Telangana was held on May 13 in a single phase.

Telangana Election Results 2024 LIVE: Congress, BJP continue to lead in eight LS seats each in Telangana

The ruling Congress and BJP continued their lead in eight seats each out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana as per the trends at 1.30 pm on Tuesday. The Congress nominees were leading in Peddapalle (SC), Mahabubabad (ST), Warangal (SC), Bhongir, Khammam, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool (SC) and Zaheerabad, according to Election Commission website.

Former chief minister and BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao reiterated the party's dedication to Telangana and its citizens in the face of recent electoral failures, saying that the results would not change the party's goals. Telangana Elections Results 2024 Live Updates: 61.54% voter turnout recorded

Telangana recorded an approximate voter turnout of 61.54% on May 13 as polling was underway for 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state.


Polling which began at 7 am will end by 6 pm, barring at a few places where it will conclude two hours earlier.


The voter turnout was higher by three-four per cent compared to the polling percentage reported till around 1 pm in the last Legislative Assembly elections.


By 9am, the voter turnout was reported at 9.48 percent across 17 constituencies in Telangana, as per the Election Commission of India (ECI).
