The workforce providing psychological therapies in the UK has traditionally been divided according to where they work, sharp boundaries between professional associations and adherents of different treatment models, and allegiances to other professions. There are signs of a more unified (and larger) psychotherapy profession emerging as a result of government initiatives that, directly or indirectly, have the potential to reduce each of these divisions. The paper summarises recent initiatives in service delivery, training standards, evidence-based practice and professional regulation that are working to reshape the workforce responsible for providing psychological therapies in the UK, especially within publicly funded services.Ceux qui, au Royaume-Uni, dispensent des thérapies psychologiques se répartissent traditionnellement selon leurs lieux de travail, selon des lignes de démarcation très prononcées entre les associations professionnelles adhérant à différents modèles de traitement, ainsi que selon leur appartenance à d'autres professions. Des signes d'une profession plus unifiée (et done plus étoffée) apparaissent cependant, conséquence d'initiatives gouvernementales, signes qui directement ou indirectement peuvent potentiellement réduire chacune de ces divisions.Cet article résume Ies initiatives récentes en matière de régulation professionnelle, de service fourni, de standards de formation, de pratique fondée sur des données probantes, qui travaillent à la refonte du champ des thérapies psychologiques au Royaume-Uni, et plus particulièrement Ies service financés par des fonds publics.Arbeitskräfte, die in Großbritannien psychologisch begründete Therapien anbieten, gliedem sich danach auf, wo sie konkret tätig sind, welchen beruflichen Verbänden, Institutionen und therapeutischen Ausrichtungen sie angehören, sowie ihrer Loyalität gegenüber anderen Berufsgruppen. Es existieren allerdings aufgrund von staatlich-gesetzlichen Initiativen Anzeichen dafür, dass sich die psychotherapeutische Profession stärker vereinigt und möglicherweise Grenzen untereinander abbaut. Der vorliegende Artikel fasst berufspolitische Regelungen, Kontexte der Dienstleistungserbringung, Ausbildungsstandards, sowie evidenzbasierte Praxisgepflogenheiten zusammen, die dazu dienen, die Verantwortung der Psychotherapie anbietenden Profis neu zu umreisen, vor allem im Kontext staatlicher Finanzierung.La forza lavoro che offre terapie psicologiche nei Regno Unito è stata tradizionalmente suddivisa in base alla struttura in cui lavora, confini netti si sono strutturati tra ie associazioni professionali e gli aderenti a differenti modelli di trattamento, o in base alla fedeltà verso altre professionl. Ci sono oggi i segni di una professione psicoterapeutica pi[ugrave] unita (e vasta), emergente come risultato di iniziative del governo, la quale, in modo diretto o indiretto, è potenzialmente in grado di ridurre ognuna di queste divisioni. Quest'articolo sintetizza alcune recenti iniziative concernenti la regolamentazione professionale, I'offerta di servizi, gli standard formativi e la pratica evidence-based, messe in atto al fine di dare nuova forma alla forza lavoro responsabile dell'offerta di terapie psicologiche nel Regno Unito, con particolar attenzione ai servizi sovvenzionati con fondi pubblici.El personal que provee las terapias psicológicas en el Reino Unido ha estado tradicionalmente distribuido de acuerdo al sitio donde trabaja, existiendo marcada separación entre asociaciones profesionales, colegas que utilizan diferentes tipos de tratamiento y lealtades hacia otras profesiones. Actualmente se observan indicios hacia una mayor unificación de la profesión los cuales surgen como resultado de las iniciativas gubernamentales que, directa o indirectamente, abren la posibilidad de reducir estas divisiones. El artlculo resume las iniciativas recientes en cuanto a la regularízación de la profesión, los estándares de formación, la prestación de servicios y la practica basada en la evidencia. Se trata de reestructurar la manera en que se imparten las terapias psicológicas en el Reino Unido, especialmente cuando se trata de servicios pagados con dinero proveniente del tesoro público.

The convergent validity of the Agnew Relationship Measure (ARM) and the Working Alliance Inventory (WAI) was assessed in samples drawn from 2 comparative clinical trials of time-limited psychotherapies for depression. In 1 sample, clients (n = 18) and therapists (n = 4) completed self-report versions of both measures after every session (n = 198). In the other sample, clients (n = 39) and therapists (n = 6) completed the ARM, and observers subsequently rated selected audiotaped sessions (n = 78) using the WAI. In both samples, the ARM's core alliance scales (Bond, Partnership, and Confidence) were correlated with the WAI's scales (Bond, Tasks, and Goals) strongly when assessed within client and therapist perspectives and, with some qualifications, moderately when assessed between client, therapist, and observer perspectives, supporting the assumption that the ARM and the WAI measure some of the same core constructs.
