Talion thermal imaging riflescopes are designed for use both at night-time and during the day. They provide exceptional image quality even in adverse weather conditions such as fog, smog and rain without being hindered by obstacles like branches, tall grass, dense foliage, or other debris.

Getting Started y Before first use, the battery (9) should be charged according to the diagram in the figure. y Insert the APS 5Т battery (9) under the battery compartment cover (11) as shown in the image. The protrusion (A) on the battery should fit into the groove between the fasteners under the battery compartment cover (11). y Close the battery compartment cover (11). The hook (10) must fit into the groove of the battery compartment cover lock (7). Then move the lock (7) to the left as far as it will go into the fixed position until it clicks. The lug on the lock (7) must line up with the icon . y Open the lens cap (14). y Press the ON/OFF button (12) briefly to power the device on. y Adjust the resolution of the symbols on the display by rotating the diopter adjustment ring of the eyepiece (2). y Rotate the lens focus knob (13) to focus on the object being observed. y Enter the main menu with a long press of the MENU button (3) and select the desired calibration mode: manual (M), semi-automatic (SA) or automatic (A). y Calibrate the image with a short press of the ON/OFF button (12) (when calibration mode SA or M has been selected). Close the lens cap before manual calibration.

y Activate the quick menu by briefly pressing the MENU button (3) to select the amplification level (“Normal”, “High”, “Ultra”), adjust the brightness and contrast (for more details, see the Interface –> Quick Menu section of the full version of the manual). y Activate the smoothing filter in the main menu to improve the thermal image as the amplification level increases. y Select one of the colour palettes in the main menu (for more details, see the Interface –> Main Menu –> Colour Modes section of the full version of the manual). y Press the ZOOM button (4) successively to change the magnification ratio of the riflescope. y Power the device off with a long press of the ON/OFF button (12). Observation conditions: time of day, weather, type of observation objects affect the image quality. Custom settings for brightness, display contrast as well as the function of adjusting the microbolometer sensitivity amplification level will help to achieve the desired quality in a particular situation.

y Fix the mount* (22) on the riflescope base (21) using an Allen wrench/hex key* and screws* (23) (clamping force – 4 Nm/35.4 in-lbs).

Zeroing at a temperature close to the riflescope’s operating temperature is recommended.

Step 1. Take a shot y Mount the rifle with the riflescope installed on a bench rest. y Set a target at a certain distance. y Point a rifle at the center of the target and shoot. y The choice of the mounting position helps the user to ensure correct eye relief depending on rifle type. y Install the riflescope with the mount on the rifle and check if the position is suitable for you, then remove it. y Unscrew the screws (23) halfway, apply some thread sealant onto the thread of the screws (23) and tighten 16

y Enter the “Windage/Elevation” submenu. y While holding the aiming reticle at the aiming point, move the auxiliary cross until it aligns with the impact point by rotating the controller (6).To change the direction of the auxiliary cross movement from horizontal to vertical, press the MENU button (3) briefly.

Mise en route y Avant la première utilisation, la batterie (9) doit être chargée selon le schéma de la figure. y Insérez la batterie APS 5Т (9) sous le couvercle du compartiment de la batterie (11) comme indiqué sur le schéma. La protubérance (A) de la batterie doit s’insérer dans la rainure entre les encoches sous le couvercle du compartiment batterie (11). y Fermer le cache du compartiment de la batterie (11). Le crochet de la batterie (10) doit loger dans son point d’attache au niveau du verrou (7) du compartiment de la batterie. Déplacez ensuite le verrou (7) vers la gauche jusqu’au clic pour atteindre la position fermé. L’œillet sur le verrou (7) doit être aligné avec l’icone . y Ouvrez le protège-objectif (14). y Allumez l’appareil en appuyant brièvement sur le bouton ON/OFF (12). y Réglez la résolution des icônes sur l’écran en faisant tourner la bague de contrôleur dioptrique sur l’oculaire (2). y Faites tourner la molette de mise au point de l’objectif (13) pour faire la mise au point de l’objectif sur l’objet observé. y Entrez dans le menu principal en pressant longuement le bouton MENU (3) et sélectionnez le mode de calibrage souhaité - manuel (M), semi-automatique (SA) ou automatique (A). y Calibrez l’image en appuyant rapidement sur le bouton ON/OFF (12) (lorsque le mode de calibration SA ou M a

été sélectionné). Fermez le couvercle de lentille avant la calibration manuelle. Activez le menu rapide en pressant brièvement le bouton MENU (3) pour sélectionner le niveau d’amplification («Normal», «Élevé», «Ultra»), régler la luminosité et le contraste (pour plus de détails, consultez la section «Interface» –> «Menu rapide» de la version complète du manuel). Activez le filtre de lissage dans le menu principal pour une meilleure qualité d’image thermique lorsque le niveau d’amplification augmente. Sélectionnez l’une des palettes couleur dans le menu principal (pour plus de détails, consultez la section «Interface» –> «Menu principal» –> «Modes de couleurs» de la version complète du manuel). Pour changer le multiplicité du viseur, appuyez séquentiellement le bouton ZOOM (4). Allumez la lunette en appuyant longuement sur le bouton ON/OFF (12).

Conditions d’observation: l’heure de la journée, les conditions météorologiques, le type d’objets d’observation affectent la qualité de l’image. Des réglages personnalisés pour la luminosité et le contraste de l’écran, ainsi que la fonction d’ajustement du niveau d’amplification de la sensibilité du microbolomètre aident à obtenir la qualité souhaitée dans une situation particulière.

Étape 2. Alignez le réticule avec le point d’impact

Pour passer d’un déplacement horizontal à un mouvement vertical de la croix auxiliaire, appuyez brièvement sur le bouton MENU (3).

Inizio del funzionamento y Prima del primo utilizzo, la batteria (9) deve essere caricata secondo lo schema in figura. y Installare la batteria APS 5T (9) sotto il coperchio del vano batteria (11), come indicato nell’immagine. La parte sporgente (A) della batteria deve inserirsi nella scanalatura situata tra gli elementi di fissaggio sotto il coperchio del vano batteria (11). y Chiudere il vano batteria abbassando il coperchio (11). Il gancio (10) deve inserirsi nella scanalatura di bloccaggio (7) del coperchio del vano batteria. Quindi spostare la levetta per il bloccaggio (7) verso sinistra fino a raggiungere la posizione fissa, segnalata dal suono di un clic. L’aletta (7) deve essere allineata con l’icona . y Aprire il copriobiettivo (14). y Accendere il dispositivo premendo brevemente il pulsante ON/OFF (12). y Regolare l’immagine nitida dei simboli sul display ruotando l’anello di regolazione diottrica dell’oculare (2). y Ruotare la manopola di messa a fuoco della lente (13) per mettere a fuoco l’oggetto osservato. y Accedere al menu principale premendo a lungo il pulsante MENU (3) e selezionare la modalità di calibrazione desiderata: manuale (M), semiautomatica (SA) o automatica (A). y Nel caso sia stata selezionata la modalità semiautomatica o manuale, calibrare l’immagine con una breve pressione del

pulsante ON/OFF (12). Chiudere il copriobiettivo prima di effettuare la calibrazione manuale. Attivare il menu rapido premendo brevemente il pulsante MENU (3) per selezionare il livello di amplificazione («Normale, «Alta», «Ultra»), regolare la luminosità e il contrasto (per maggiori dettagli si veda la sezione «Interfaccia» -> «Menu rapido» sulla versione integrale del manuale). Dal menu principale attivare il filtro per armonizzare ) così da migliorare l’immagine (filtro specifico l’immagine stessa all’aumentare del livello di amplificazione. Scegliere una tavolozza di colori dal menu principale (per maggiori dettagli si veda la sezione «Interfaccia» –> «Menu principale» –> «Modalità colore» sulla versione integrale del manuale). Per modificare l’ingrandimento della visore, premere ripetutamente il pulsante ZOOM (4). Spegnere l’unità con una pressione prolungata del pulsante ON/OFF (12).

Condizioni di osservazione: ora del giorno, condizioni meteorologiche e il tipo di oggetti di osservazione condizionano la qualità dell’immagine. Impostazioni personalizzate di luminosità e contrasto del display, così come la funzione di regolazione del livello di amplificazione della sensibilità del microbolómetro, contribuiscono a ottenere la qualità desiderata in ogni situazione.

Начало работы y Перед первым использованием батарею (9) следует зарядить согласно схеме на рисунке. y Установите батарею APS 5T (9) под крышку батарейного отсека (11), как показано на рисунке. Выступ (А) на батарее должен попасть в паз между креплениями под крышкой батарейного отсека (11). y Закройте крышку батарейного отсека (11). Зацеп (10) должен попасть в паз фиксатора (7) крышки батарейного отсека. Затем переведите фиксатор (7) в левую сторону до упора в фиксированное положение до щелчка. Выступ на фиксаторе (7) должен совместиться с пиктограммой . y Откройте крышку объектива (14). y Включите прибор кратким нажатием кнопки ON/OFF (12). y Настройте резкое изображение символов на дисплее вращением кольца диоптрийной настройки окуляра (2). y Для фокусировки на объект наблюдения вращайте ручку фокусировки объектива (13). y Войдите в основное меню долгим нажатием кнопки MENU (3) и выберите нужный режим калибровки - ручной (Р), полуавтоматический (ПА) или автоматический (A). y Откалибруйте изображение кратким нажатием кнопки ON/OFF (12) (если выбран режим калибровки ПА или Р). Закройте крышку объектива перед ручной калибровкой.

Условия наблюдения: время суток, погода, тип объектов наблюдения влияют на качество изображения. Достижению желаемого качества в конкретной ситуации помогут пользовательские настройки яркости, контраста дисплея и функция регулировки уровня усиления чувствительности микроболометра.
