Congratulations, Austin! Congratulations to Austin Cary for his impressive performance in the MSHSAA Class 2 State Championships on November 3 at Gans Creek Cross Country Course! Finishing 27th out of the 170 competitors is a commendable achievement, especially with a notable time of 17:23.7 in the 5k race. It is truly remarkable that this was Austin's first year on the Valley Park High School Cross Country team, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport. Congratulations again, Austin on a successful season!

In a dazzling display of talent and dedication, the students in the Valley Park Theater Department recently took center stage and delivered a captivating performance in How to Host a Murder Mystery Dinner Party (in 15 Simple Steps). The culmination of weeks of intense preparation and collaboration, the production showcased not only the students' acting and improv talent but also their commitment to excellence in the performing arts. The success of any play is measured not only by the performers' abilities but also by their ability to engage the audience. This year our students did both very well. Interviewing audience members and speaking with them in character created a memorable experience for cast, crew and community alike. The high school's commitment to fostering a supportive environment for the arts was evident in the outpouring of community support and the three night sold out show! Congratulations to Ms. Magalli and Ms. Hungate Wood, the volunteers, and the cast and crew who created such a memorable experience for all. This serves as an inspiration for future generations of performers at the Valley Park School District. To see all the photos from the show, visit www.vpschools.org/15steps

Thank you to our Valley Park Community Heroes! Our Valley Park School District celebrated our local heroes at our Heroes Day Breakfast on November 10th. The Valley Park High School Leadership class led the festivities. Our middle school and high school band and choir performed sentimental and heart-felt music, and our 2nd graders entertained our guests with patriotic musical selections and adorable dance moves! Thanks to all our heroes! To see all the pictures of the day, please visit www.vpschools.org/heroes This celebration is one of two Golden Club events held annually at our school. If you are 60+ years old, live in the Valley Park School District, and are interested in joining our Golden Club, please contact Jaime Gast at jgast@vpschools.org or (636) 923-3690.

VPHS Students and Staff Join Edward Jones for a Thinksgiving Challenge sponsored by Filament. On November 2nd, Will Geary ‘25, Jermisha Lewis ’26, Dr. Luhning, Ms. LaManna, and Ms. Aydelott participated in Thinksgiving. This event connects St. Louis nonprofits with teams from smart companies for a day of creative problem-solving focused on the future. VPHS worked with a team from Edward Jones, and their goal was to study core values and how they can impact Valley Park High School. Such initiatives are valuable for building a positive school culture, enhancing relationships between students and staff, and preparing students for future challenges. Thinksgiving is just one of the many limitless learning opportunities our students have been able to participate in this year. These experiences also contribute to a shared purpose and commitment to positively impacting individual lives and the Valley Park community.
