In casa Trabucco, invece, si lavora già da due decenni allo sviluppo di attrezzature specifiche, e il nuovo boom della specialità è stato accolto come una piacevole conferma. Oggi il feeder ha invaso il campo dell’agonismo con tutto il suo carico di tecnica e di stimoli: una ragione in più per mettere in vetrina le nostre proposte con rinnovato entusiasmo.
TECHNIQUE AND MOTIVATION All over Europe, there’s so much talk about feeder fishing, up to the point that the enthusiasm has even infected the country of origin, Great Britain. At Trabucco, instead, we have already been working for the past two decades to develop specific equipment, so this new boom of the specialty has been welcomed as a rewarding confirmation. Today, the feeder has hit the competition field with its load of technique and motivations: one more reason to display our proposals with renewed pleasure.

TONY PEÑA KNOT Il nodo inventato da Tony Peña è probabilmente il miglior nodo per unire il trecciato allo shock leader in nylon. Il sistema della doppia spirale garantisce infatti un’ottima tenuta. The knot invented by Tony Peña is probably the best to connect any braided line to nylon shock leader. The double wrapping grants high strength and drastically reduces the risk about getting nylon cut by braid.
Con il nylon facciamo un nodo semplice a circa 40 cm dal capo libero del trecciato.
Chiudiamo quindi il nodo senza però stringerlo eccessivamente (lo faremo dopo).
Avvolgiamo il trecciato per 10-12 spire sul nylon, lasciando un’ansa aperta all’inizio.
With nylon a simple overhand knot must be done at 40 cm from free end of the braided line.
Tighten the knot without pulling it too much, as this will be done later.
Wind braid on the nylon for 10-12 turns, leaving an open hole at the start, which will be used later.

After first series of turns, come back with a second spiral, passing the end into the open hole.

Il Pellet Feeder nasce proprio per l’utilizzo con i pellets che, dopo essere stati inumiditi, vengono posti all’interno con una moderata pressione ed infine “bloccati” con un tappo di pastura. L’azione dell’acqua dissolverà il blocco permettendo ai pellets di fuoriuscire solo in direzione del terminale. This feeder has been designed to be used with pellets, which must be dampened, gently pressed into the feeder and finally blocked with groundbait at both ends of the feeder. The water’s action will dissolve groundbait plugs and will consequently allow pellets to come out towards the hooklength.

The Floating Feeder rig is extremely simple as well as effective. The mainline pass through the swivel’s eye, while two rubber stoppers limit the feeders’ freedom to slide up and down. A swivel located at hooklink’s joint is worth to download the torsions caused by hookbait during the retrieve without fish. Every minute spent around groundbait is not a waste of time, but an investment instead, which pays dividends later in the fishing session. After wetting the mix, push it through the riddle to delete any lump and thoroughly disperse humidity. Only then, the mix will be ready to evenly absorb water and expand in volume.
