he Great British Land Rover Show is well established as the event that brings down the curtain on the year in the Landy scene – and gets you all ready for the next one! Our big autumn event has become the place to see familiar faces one more time before winter – while getting great deals on the kit you’ll be bolting to your truck while it’s tucked away in your garage. The venue is, as usual, the NAEC in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. The date is Sunday 19 November. And the event is a festival of all things Land Rover!

As always, there’ll be a wide range of trade stands in the exhibition halls waiting to tempt you with some of the best products on the market. And we’ve reserved a section for the clubs that are the lifeblood of the Landy scene – providing the perfect place to meet old friends and make new ones. Our off-road course will be in action, too, once again run and marshalled by the All Wheel Drive Club. With three levels of difficulty, it’s been devised to suit every kind of Land Rover. We’ve got VIP Land Rover parking, too. This is right next to the entrance
Off-Road Course – run by the AWDC Our ever-popular off-road course gives you an opportunity to put your own Land Rover through its paces. And new for this year, you can choose between three levels of difficulty – meaning it’ll be a challenge for everything from a factory-fresh Range Rover to a hardcore modified 90. The course is suitable for all levels of driver ability and experience. And marshals from the All Wheel Drive Club will be on hand to offer advice and tips on how to drive off-road – as well as
helping you out should you be unfortunate enough to become stuck! Advance tickets are only £10 (£15 on the day) and can be purchased at the same time as your half-price advance tickets for entry to the Great British Land Rover Show. Advance booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment and to be able to select your preferred start time around the course.
VIP Land Rover parking and ‘Best in Show’ visitors’ vote Coming to the show in your Landy? For an extra £10, limited parking is available adjacent to the show halls for Land Rovers only – and all vehicles parked here will be entered into a visitors’ vote to find the stars of the show!
Land Rover Clubs Area Clubs are the lifeblood of the Land Rover scene. And once again, we are offering free space to promote your club, attracting new members from
the thousands of visitors to the Great British Land Rover Show! The club section of the show has limited capacity and all spaces are available on a first come basis. Setting the standard on replacement chassis – and now bulkheads too
R
ichards Chassis has been at the forefront of replacement Land Rover chassis manufacturing since the company was formed in 1984. All of our chassis are manufactured in the UK at our own factory located near the ‘steel city’ of Sheffield, using locally sourced parts and materials. Over the years we have gathered a huge amount of knowledge and experience, which has helped us to become the largest manufacturer of aftermarket Land Rover chassis. We are constantly investing in improving our processes and products – in the last few years we have completely redesigned and rebuilt all of our main assembly jigs and manipulators, and have installed a new fibre laser with a 4m bed. This investment has enabled us to improve both product quality and productivity, allowing us to manufacture up to 50 chassis each week.
We manufacture a very wide range of chassis, from the very earliest Series Ones to the last of line Defenders, as well as Series 2a/2b Forward Controls and Discovery 2. With our newly revised jigs we also have the ability to fully jig certain ‘custom’ chassis, such as 6x6, and winch challenge chassis, and are happy to work with our customers to develop other bespoke chassis, for example for electric vehicle builds. We have recently currently developed a jig to allow us to build Range Rover Classic and Discovery 1 chassis, and these are now available to order. Our most popular chassis variants are generally available from stock for immediate collection, and interest free credit is available, subject to conditions. We ship our products worldwide, and within mainland Britain we have our own dedicated compact delivery trucks with offloading cranes that allow us to deliver safely even to remote locations.
Bulkheads
After more than two years of press tool development, working in conjunction with DDS Metal Services, we now produce bulkheads for Defenders. We believe these are the best on the market. Utilising properly pressed panels has allowed us to replicate the feature of the original parts, meaning that fitting them is much less time consuming. We are currently producing bulkheads for Defender 2.5NA/ TD, 200tdi, 300tdi and Td5 with further variants coming soon. These are offered in either galvanised or E-coat finish; E-coating is a electrostatically assisted dip paint process which provides a smooth surface and full coverage inside and out, without causing the slight rippling which happens during galvanising.
