Etsy Design Awards Grand Prize Tim Stevenson is the seller behind WeAreLunarium, where he designs and creates unique Scandinavian wall hangings and plywood wall art for the home. Tim first had the idea for his beautiful geometric wall hangings while sailing around the Canary islands, and immediately began scribbling his designs in a sketchbook. With a background in retail management and merchandising, Tim decided to open his Etsy shop as soon as he got home. Business took off, and Tim eventually quit his day job in fashion retail and to work full time on his creative business. His Large Modern Wall Hanging is part of his hybrid wall hangings collection and is made with a variety of materials, from sustainably-sourced birch plywood to metal and ceramic. Each wall hanging is designed, painted, and constructed entirely by hand.
Etsy Design Award Winner Art Edina "Dina" Dodson first started on Etsy by helping her mother manage her Etsy shop. After her mother passed away in 2014, Dina began painting to help with the grieving process and listed her own paintings in her mother's shop. ArtbyDinaD is now run in honor of her late mother, and her goal is to make art that represents emotional connection and tells a story. Her Blue Roads piece is no exception – she created it to reflect her emotions and experiences over the last year, with the white detail representing brightness and movement.
