REFLECT: 1. Was there anything that shocked you about Rory’s presentation? What did you learn about the early churches, the Bible, and the Roman cultural norms? 2. What does it look like for you personally to live your life in a stunningly different way than your unbelieving friends and neighbors live their lives?

DISCUSS: 1. What does it look like for Christians in the 21st Century to be “stunningly different?” from the surrounding culture. 2. What will it take for your church, your ministry, your worship team to be stunningly different from the world?

APPLY: 1. Stunningly Different Rory states that Christians and the church are called to be “stunningly different” from worldly culture. After completing the discussion section above, make a list of the ways you are, and you desire your worship ministry and your church to be stunningly different. What would you add, subtract, or change? By yourself, or as a group, discuss this list, and test it against the Christian character discussed in this class. Then circle a few of the new desired ways you hope to be stunningly different as a ministry and as a church.
