Sanosil MC-A: product description

Sanosil MC-A is a highly alkaline special cleaner for membrane filters and is particularly suitable for use in food production, the machine industry as well as for wastewater treatment in the garage industry.

Sanosil MC-A very effectively and efficiently removes mechanical oils and greases, proteins, organic dyes as well as other stubborn contamination. Once the contamination has been removed from the filter membranes with Sanosil MC- A, the flow rate increases, the back pressure is reduced and the energy consumption of the pumps installed in the system is lowered.

Ideally, Sanosil MC-A should be combined with the Sanosil disinfectants* as part of a cotreatment in order to remove additional microorganisms and biofilms. It optimally prepares

Instructions for use

Precautionary measures:

The usual precautions for handling alkalis apply: avoid contact with eyes and skin, do not ingest, do not inhale aerosols.

Immersion / insertion

The simplest method for treating filters is to immerse the dirty filter cartridges in a cleaning solution. An increased application temperature accelerates the cleaning effect. After immersion in the cleaning solution, the filter cartridge should be thoroughly (back)washed with clean water until no more alkaline residues (measured with pH measuring probe or indicator paper) can be detected.

Dosing MC-A: 0.5–2% Water

temperature: 30-50 °C

Exposure time: 10–30 minutes

Circulation / continuous process

A cleaning solution is created and ideally circulated using the delivery pump (CIP principle). We recommend sporadic backwashing in case of heavy contamination with solid dirt particles. In the process, the rinsing liquid containing substances removed from the filter is gradually discarded. After discarding the cleaning solution, rinse the system thoroughly with clean water.

Dosing MC-A: 0.5–2% Water

temperature: 30-50 °C

Exposure time: 10–30 minutes

Disinfection with Sanosil disinfectant

If the filters need to be disinfected after thorough cleaning, optimum results can be achieved with the Sanosil disinfectants S015 or Super 25 (provided that the filter materials are resistant to hydrogen peroxide).

It is important to note that Sanosil disinfectant cannot be used at the same time as MC-A. Instead, it must be used after cleaning and complete rinsing.

First clean the filters with 0.5

2% Sanosil MC-A for 10–30 minutes. After rinsing with clean water, disinfect with 0.1–0.5 % Sanosil Super 25 or 0.66–3.3% Sanosil S015 for 1–4 hours.

Our application notes, both in written and verbal form, are based on extensive testing. We provide advice to the best of our current knowledge, but without any obligation insofar as the application and storage are beyond our direct control. Product descriptions or information about the properties of the preparations do not contain any statements concerning liability for any damage.
