Message from Marissa Dear Regent Center Members, January has been tons of fun with all of the winter weather we’ve experienced so far. As a reminder, check your email before you head over to the Regent Center, especially in inclement weather. I do my best to send out an email at least an hour before programs to let our members know if we’ve had to cancel a program or close. We do have a lot of fun ahead of us. In February we’ll celebrate Chinese New Year during Bingo and Lunch. In March we added a trip to see Wouldn’t It Be Loverly: The Music of Julie Andrews at the Metropolis on Thursday, March 21. That trip is already half full, so make sure to sign up soon if you are planning to go. Leslie Goddard as Eleanor Roosevelt is also half full, as well as Adult Bingo. Many of these programs sell out weeks in advance, so don’t hesitate to register. Lastly, I have added two trips for 2025. The first will be to see the Northern Lights in Iceland in January. The second will be to Switzerland, Austria, and Bavaria. Travel previews for these two trips will take place on May 6 at 6 pm. We have a travel preview for Greece followed by a presentation for Montreal/Quebec on February 13, at 4 pm. These trips are a fantastic opportunity to see the world with an experienced guide and your friends from Mundelein! Stay well, Marissa Moravec
