Art festivals, book fairs and musical events take place year-round under sunny skies. Greater Miami and Miami Beach museums let you glimpse the relics of our fascinating past, learn about Art Deco architecture or marvel at Modern masters.

ALL-STAR SPORTS

Greater Miami and Miami Beach is in a league of its own. With superstar athletes, championship professional and college teams, international tennis tournaments, motorsports and horse racing, Miami offers the hottest sports action under the sun.

MAKING WAVES

Water lovers can hop on a Jet Ski, parasail over the beach, and kayak or sail along the tranquil waters of Biscayne Bay. A great way to view Miami’s dramatic skyline is from the deck of a charter boat or sightseeing cruise. Sail across Biscayne Bay or jump in at one of Miami’s breathtaking diving spots and let the calm waters of the Atlantic Ocean relax and inspire you. Sailing tours, beach excursions and sunset cruises provide just the right opportunity to dive in.

A WORLD OF FLAVOR

Miami’s international flair, seaside locale and fresh, local produce add up to unforgettable dining experiences. Miami’s unique cuisine tantalizes with dishes featuring eclectic combinations of tropical fruits and exotic spices. Multicultural delights can be found around every corner. Michelin-recognized chefs create mouth-watering new taste sensations in settings ranging from poolside to palatial.

CRAFT BEER & BREWERIES

Miami’s craft beer scene has been growing for years, with plenty of popular local breweries stretching across Greater Miami and Miami Beach, from South Beach to Wynwood, Doral and beyond. Even better, there are new craft brew hotspots bubbling up all the time.

IN THE CENTER OF IT ALL

The reimagined Miami Beach Convention Center has completed a magnificent $620-million transformation. It is the most state-of-the-art convention center and public space in the country. This architecturally stunning building hosts major events and shows such as Art Basel Miami Beach. It includes 500,000 square feet of exhibit space and a 60,000-square-foot ballroom. NATURAL WONDERS

A visit to Miami’s national parks and preserves is an experience you won’t soon forget. Biscayne and Everglades national parks and Big Cypress National Preserve offer opportunities ranging from snorkeling to wildlife photography and camping in a backcountry chickee.

EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK

Spread across 1.5 million acres about an hour’s drive from Downtown Miami, Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the “River of Grass” is home to a complex fusion of slow-flowing freshwater sloughs, salt-tolerant mangrove forests, tropical hardwood hammocks, pine rocklands, freshwater prairies, cypress domes and hundreds of animal species. Explore the area through activities such as guided tours of Shark Valley, nature trails, ranger-led adventures, bird watching, canoeing or kayaking through backcountry waterways.

BISCAYNE NATIONAL PARK

Biscayne National Park is the largest marine sanctuary in the U.S. National Park system. This 173,000-acre park is 95% water. It is the third largest offshore reef in the entire world and is home to thousands of wildlife habitats. Here, explorers will find everything from rare bird species along the Biscayne Birding Trail to threatened or endangered species like manatees, hawksbill sea turtles and American crocodiles. With so much of the park under water, the best way to explore it is by boat.

BIG CYPRESS NATIONAL PRESERVE

Spanning 729,000 acres about an hour’s drive west of Downtown Miami, Big Cypress National Preserve is the meeting point of five different ecosystems and a haven of cypress strands, waterways, wildlife species and native plants. First-time visitors shouldn’t miss the onsite Oasis Visitor Center, where they can sign up for ranger-led discovery hikes, spot alligators from the nearby wildlife observation deck or start their hike down the Florida National Scenic Trail. After that, you can hop on guided canoe excursions on Turner River, go on a swamp buggy tour, try a Gladesman-led swamp walk with the Big Cypress Institute, rent a kayak from Everglades Adventure Tours or hop on one of its guided pole boat eco-tours.
