Create Your Own Natural Spa Products

Beekeeping for Beginners Level 2

If you love the exquisite sensations and fragrances of the spa, come learn how to make your own botanical body care products—at a fraction of the cost! In this fun hands-on class, you’ll create skin-softening milk bath, exfoliate-and-glow scrub, moisturizing butter lotion and nutrient-rich lip balm. With beneficial skin-care ideas and additional recipes to try at home, you’ll be on your way to an endless supply of healthy, natural products to give as gifts and enjoy yourself. There will be a materials cost of $30 (payable to the instructor in class). Additional supplies needed.

Once you understand bee basics, the next step toward successful beekeeping is learning to manage your own beehive. Over the course of three hours, you’ll discuss municipal and provincial guidelines, what you’ll need, and how to set up and manage your own backyard beehive. We will cover hive types and tools, where to purchase equipment, licensing hives, different ways of acquiring bees and managing a beehive throughout the season.
