FIJI ISLANDS

iscover the joy of small ship cruising and take a journey through paradise, cruising the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands of Fiji with Blue Lagoon Cruises. These idyllic islands lie off the western coast of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu, and have some of the most striking scenery in Fiji. Feel the warmth of the Fijian people and be greeted with open arms and a bright Bula smile wherever you go.

THE BLUE LAGOON CRUISES EXPERIENCE With over 70 years of experience cruising the islands of Fiji, we know all the best places to take you. Our onboard atmosphere is refreshingly informal and intimate with an all-Fijian crew that takes pride in getting to know each and every guest. This cruise is all about the experiences both on and off the ship. We don’t want our guests to just see these amazing islands but truly experience everything they have to offer. Each day there are unique activities and excursions included in your cruise, that will leave you with lifelong memories to treasure.

THE M.V. FIJI PRINCESS The small size of Blue Lagoon Cruises’ ship, M.V. Fiji Princess helps make a cruise with us so special. Measuring 55 metres (179 feet), she can access bays and islands that would be impossible to reach in a larger ship, getting so close to shore that we tie off to a coconut tree and you can swim to the beach! With just 32 cabins (a maximum of 64 guests and up to 30 Fijian crew) we are able to provide personalised service, ensuring you are well looked after. Our cruises are for adults only (other than our limited family departures). The vessel’s decor is fresh and nautical, with echoes of the romantic age of cruising gone by. You only need to unpack once and then let your floating hotel take you from idyllic place to idyllic experience – every day somewhere and something different. Visit traditional Fijian villages, swim in crystal-clear lagoons, and gaze out on tropical vistas you thought only existed in the movies.

WHY CHOOSE TO CRUISE WITH US? SMALL SHIP CRUISING Discover the benefits of small ship cruising onboard the M.V. Fiji Princess. With only 32 cabins (a maximum of 64 guests), our attentive crew quickly get to know everyone’s names and preferences, with guests often making lifelong friends with the crew and other guests on their journey. Being adults only (14 years and above) for most of the year (other than school holiday dates) allows for a quieter and more serene cruise experience.

AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE Our 100% Fijian Crew know these islands like the back of their hands and use this local knowledge to guide you during visits to the local villages in the Yasawa Islands, helping you learn about the Fijian people and their way of life in this region. This experience, alongside other optional cultural activities such as local cooking lessons, Kava ceremonies, coconut husking, and singing, makes this trip unique and unforgettable.

PLENTY OF TIME ON SHORE For those who like an active holiday, there are plenty of daily activities that will keep you occupied - beach visits, volleyball, hikes, local village tour, an Island church service, snorkelling as well as once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as swimming with reef sharks and manta rays (May - October). There is something for everyone regardless of whether you’re just looking for a spot to sit and read for the day or prefer to be in on the action!

PRIVATE BEACH EXPERIENCE We are very lucky to have our own private beach and land set on the famed Blue Lagoon and those guests on our 4 and 7 night itineraries will get to spend time in this special location. In this glorious setting, we tie up to a coconut tree offering the chance to jump off the ship and swim to shore. You can join a hike to the other side of the island for some spectacular views, play volleyball with our crew, try out various water sports activities or simply relax at the beach with our beach bar nearby for a cocktail or two. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Fijian Lovo for dinner followed by a meke performance from local villagers.

CONVENIENCE The M.V. Fiji Princess is the only cruise company operating in Fiji departs directly from Port Denarau which is only 20 minutes from Nadi International Airport making getting onboard, super easy.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY As an environmentally conscious company, Blue Lagoon Cruises is proud to be Single Use Plastic Free. You can make a difference while onboard by using your gifted Blue Lagoon branded metal drink bottled and filling up at one of the many water stations throughout the ship. 3

GETTING READY

DONATING TO VINAKA FIJI

Blue Lagoon Cruises cater for people of all ages and fitness levels, although you do have to be able to make your way up and down steep staircases. Getting in and out of the tender boats does require a certain degree of mobility and our crew will tailor the shore landings to suit although there’s nothing wrong with staying on board for those who would prefer to relax and enjoy the scenery.

While travelling with Blue Lagoon Cruises you can make a difference to the lives of the Yasawa Island villagers by donating to Yasawa Trust Foundation. Vinaka Fiji receives some funding through its volunteer programmes and its major sponsors but is also heavily reliant on monetary donations from kind-hearted individuals, organisations and groups.

On or off the ship, the Blue Lagoon Cruises team will ensure that you will have a truly memorable experience. The dress code is casual and informal, even at dinner. We encourage our guests to wear what they feel comfortable in and to leave their dinner jackets and high heels at home. For those wanting to visit villages, for cultural reasons, we do ask that men wear a sulu (provided in your cabin) and women dress modestly with shoulders and knees covered. Hats should be removed when meeting a chief.

Donations are used to facilitate the Vinaka Fiji mission to purchase materials and resources required to make things such as water catchment, sanitation and sustainability projects possible.

FAMILY CRUISING

Blue Lagoon Cruises proudly sponsors and supports Vinaka Fiji and the excellent work it does in the villages of the Yasawa Islands. Blue Lagoon Cruises invites guests to join them in supporting Vinaka Fiji by allowing a donation that will be automatically added to their account at the end of their cruise to remain. Guests will have the chance to decline it or alter the amount. The donation amounts that will be shown will be FJD$100 per cabin for 3 & 4-night cruise guests and FJD$150 per cabin for 7-night cruise guests.

A Blue Lagoon Cruise is a great option for a family holiday or a multi-generational trip. Having everyone in the same place means you get to be together for meal times/evenings but can go off and do activities that suit each age group during the day.
