By the progressive sire Getaway, he is out of the winning mare Beautiful Tune and is a half-brother to the Grade 1 placed, Lambro. Press Conference is also from the family of Group 1 placed Beaune and Bering. LOT 35 MALACHYS GIRL (IRE) 4yo, B, Filly, Darsi (FR) – Borleagh Princess (IRE) (Presenting (GB)) Malachys Girl ran with plenty of promise in three starts in competitive four-year-old mares’ maidens in the spring. The daughter of Darsi put in an eye-catching debut performance at Curraheen on her debut when only beaten by a length to Be My Westerner. The Donnchadh Doyle-trained mare followed up that initial run with a fourth at Necarne and a six length second at Kinsale behind the progressive Letitbeso. Making her seasonal reappearance at Dromahane in November, Malachys Girl finishd runner-up to the highly impressive Queens Cave but gained her due reward when she won her four-year-old mares’ maiden at Borris in December. Ridden prominently from flag fall, Malachys Girl progressed to lead turning into the straight where she showed great stamina and battling qualities to hold onto victory. This consistent sort who is a half-sister to the three time track winner, Monbeg Notorious and looks the sort that will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.

This eye-catching gelding is from the family of the Grade 2 winners Lord Who, Measureofmydreams and Sutton Place. Having posted such a strong run, this well-bred gelding lost little in defeat and is a very likeable youngster with a lot to offer it seems.
