WELCOME On behalf of our Chairman, the Board and all my colleagues, I am very pleased to introduce Wigan Athletic’s hospitality offering for the forthcoming 2022/23 season as the Club returns to The EFL Championship. Last year not only saw the First Team crowned as Champions of League One during the first season of fans returning to the DW Stadium following the pandemic, as well as the first full season of Phoenix 2021 Limited’s ownership, but it was also the first year of the long-term agreement with our hospitality partners, Sodexo. From experience, such partnerships are built on listening and then understanding what Latics fans are looking for from their Club. Having considered feedback throughout the season, we believe the investment made in a number of the lounges in the West Stand, mainly on the third floor, and the continued innovation in the hospitality offerings, reflects the Club’s and Sodexo’s commitment to continuous improvement. One example of this, which I am delighted to be able to introduce is the brand new ‘Chairman’s Club’, which sees the Boardroom opened up to hospitality for the first time since the stadium was built. It will be the very best the Club has to offer. We have not forgotten other areas of the stadium and all fans will be able to see the transformation of Rigaletto’s into Whelan’s Sports Bar, to continue the very deserved acknowledgement of the enormous contribution Dave Whelan and his family made to our Club and the stadium.
