Hello, my beautiful Bello family! Boy, are we excited for this spring's release... So many events and awards have happened in the last month leaving us in a daze! So, now that we all have a little downtime, what better way than to pick up a magazine and flip through pages of beauty, interviews, and more? Our cover this month, with Lucien Laviscount, was shot in London by the incredible Alex Beer. You may recognize the talented actor from his role in the hit series EMILY IN PARIS. Definitely check out his story and learn more of how he came to be where he is today! For our Spotlights, we have the beautiful Frida Gustavsson from the reboot of Vikings as well as Greg Tarzan Davis who can be seen on Grey's Anatomy. LUCIEN LAVISCOUNT: LIVING IN THE PRESENT THROUGH HIS DIFFERENT ROLES AND WORLDS
“Tomorrow is never promised, the past a ghost,
the future a dream,” opened up actor Lucien Laviscount. “I guess all we’ve got is now so we will see what is around the corner.” Especially
with everything we have undergone in the last
two years, I feel as though this quote needs
to be highlighted as it reminds us to live in the moment. Always. I don’t know about all of you reading this but I tend to have trouble living in the moment but when I do…oh boy do things run
smoother! When we realize AND accept that we
can’t control life except for taking in what it offers us in the moment, there is this sense of freedom that burns within our soul. For
Lucien,
he
welcomes
for the character of Alfie because of his unique honesty and how he has opinions and is a young
man figuring things out. If you have seen the
show, you know exactly what he means by this… Ha! His character arc is quite beautiful as when he steps into Emily’s environment, she “opens up his world and opens up his eyes to the beauty
that’s around him - that’s around all of us all the
time;” something we don’t always do when we
get to a point where we can’t see what’s right in
front of us. Take a moment to think of something
simple that brings you great joy and hold onto that feeling. Crazy how little things can make a

opportunities that have been placed on his path every day with open arms. His latest role of Alfie
on EMILY IN PARIS did not go unnoticed as he brought character, passion, and good looks to the set. “I think Darren and his team have an
incredible way of creating characters that bounce back and forth off each other and with depth to
them as well,” he shared with a smile. “I think you can put a character in a situation and there’s
always going to be drama, there’s going to be
love lost and love found, and there’s going to be all that fun stuff that comes in between.” We can all agree with this, no?
When he first read the script, Lucien really fell

“I feel super fortunate to be a part of something that I think has made a lot of people happy - I
hope so anyway,” Lucien exclaimed. “It takes
you out of your world for a little while, and I’m really proud to be a part of something like that
and to work with the guys I got to work with.” This is the kind of set support we like to see! After wrapping up EMILY IN PARIS, the talented actor
jumped on a movie entitled SENTINEL, based on an apocalyptic future world and composed
of a stellar cast such as Kate Bosworth, Thomas Kretschmann, and a wonderful actor called Martin
McCann. The filming took place in the Baltic Sea which almost seemed surreal. “I’m really excited

to see it and myself in it actually, to see how it all came together, because it was a hell of a process to film - it was pretty special!” Lucien exclaimed.
So how did this handsome individual make his
way to the big screen? Well, it all started at a
young age where he always had a performance element in his life: entertaining family, friends, and
all the fun things kids are up to. “I think I always knew I wanted to be in the Arts and I think having
the opportunities I had at such a young age, it made sense,” Lucien opened up. “There’s not
many other things I could imagine doing!” For him, acting opens up the gate to a million possibilities where you can do just about everything and play
any character you want! “So, I guess I do every job in the world in a sense!” he exclaimed.
Purpose and dreams go hand in hand and for
Lucien, there are evidently so many things he
wants from the world, from his life, from everything, “dreams are a wonderful thing to have and I’m blessed that I feel like I can fulfill them,” he shared
wholeheartedly. “I feel that they are very personal as well, so I’m going to hold them close to my chest and manifest and keep on dreaming.” With
a long way to go and a list of dreams to check
off his list, it’s just the beginning for the talented actor.
The first movie he recalls watching was “The Lion King,” which he saw at the cinema with his two
brothers. Seeing his younger brother’s face light up and “go through this full range of emotions was
incredible and it’s still my favorite movie to date,”
One thing I really like to ask people is whether or not they believe they have found their purpose in life and Lucien admits he is still figuring it out yet
through these different characters and worlds, he
is able to tell stories and create. “If that is my purpose then I guess I’m figuring that out,” he shared. “Or maybe I’m serving another purpose that I don’t really recognize…” Something to think
about, no? You there. Yes, you reading this. Have

he ended. The spark he felt in that moment resides within him and it shows when he is performing
on the screen! Whether it’s British or American television, there are so many creative platforms
that allow individuals to create and live in these different worlds. “ I think that a song can change
a day, and a movie can change your week, but a TV show can change your life. And a mixture
of all three, well…!” Well said, Lucien! Excited to see where your path of light takes you next.

Why were you originally drawn to auditioning for VIKINGS: VALHALLA? I was a huge fan of the original show, Vikings, and the prospect of continuing the saga about the viking era really intrigued me. What I especially was drawn to was the time where our show take place, namely the end of the viking epoch with the christening of Scandinavia and the tensions it created. You play the female lead in the show. What was your experience like playing a female leading role in male-dominated world (both in the show and in the industry In general)? It saddens and frustrates me that we still have to describe female characters in relation to a man in a far bigger extent that we ever do with men and their female counterparts. Female characters are usually so fractionalized and marginalized that their only purpose to the story is to be a romantic interest or a spouse/ sister/mother to our protagonist. Luckily that was not the case on Vikings: Valhalla. What I love about both Freydis and the show is that she is active, she is a driving force behind the 23
story and she is allowed to take up space. Do you believe there is progress happening in the industry in regards to women and film/television? I absolutely believe progress has been made but we have not yet reached the final destination. Every time complex women are allowed time on screen is a victory and an inspiration for what is to come yet sadly a reminder of how rare that is. Can you please share with us one of your favorite scenes you filmed and why? I loved all the scenes with Jarl Haakon and the Shieldmaidens. I found it so empowering sharing the stage with all of these incredible performers who all taught me so much. It was a joy to see strong women fighting together and lifting each other up, not being plotted against each other. How do you prepare for your different roles? In what ways do you integrate some of who you are as Frida and the character you are playing?

The way that I work is that I always approach any character with a lot of personal insights; I tend to look at what makes us similar instead of different and start it all from there. The next step is developing the physicality and with Freydis that was so rewarding since I was allowed a, for me, pretty big physical transformation. History has, in my opinion, a way of teaching us how similar humans really are and always have been as well as how much of our dreams and wants transcend time - deep down I believe all we ever really want is to be loved, seen, respected and safe. That is a statement true both for Frida and Freydis. How does Swedish TV differ from American TV? Please explain. The sheer scale! Both in the size of the actual sets and the production but also the reach of the production upon release. Thankfully streaming services has opened the world in terms of availability to discover shows from countries all over the globe which hopefully can change this. This being your first big role, what are you most excited about? I am so incredibly proud and honored to be a part of this journey together with the entire Vikings: Valhalla family. It warms my heart immensely to see how the show is being received around the world and all the kind and positive messages we are all receiving. It feels like a magical first step onto a global arena and makes me so excited for what’s (hopefully) around the corner! Please tell us more about who you are and what you hope to accomplish in your life. Have
you found your purpose? Please explain. I am a very invested person who fully throws myself into what I am inspired by and fall in love with; may it be a person, a book, a thought or a place on earth. I strive to meet every day with presence and honesty and to learn something from the world around me. I deeply love the nature and just surrounding myself in it, either the snowy mountains or the big open plains. I have always been enormously interested in the human experience; what makes us who we are, our little flaws and imperfections, our choices and dreams. I guess that is why I choose this craft - to get to spend my life trying to discover what makes us who we are. Growing up, what was one of the biggest lessons you learned? My grandmother has always been a huge inspiration for me. She is one of the youngest of thirteen siblings and grew up on a farm outside Stockholm in the 1940’s. She early on taught me the importance of honesty, hard work but mostly respect, she truly looks upon everyone she ever meets as equals and treat them with the most impressive sisterly love. I have always deeply respected, admired and tried my utmost to replicate that. Where do you hope 2022 will take you? Into new adventures both in my personal life and in my profession. I am so thrilled to begin a new journey with Valhalla and to see where the road takes me.

From the writing process to now, what have
you learned about each other? The film industry?
Before stepping into this process, we didn’t
know each other that well. We had no idea how well our brains would work together, or that all of our different strengths and weaknesses would
complement each other so well. Filmmaking is such an intimate experience. When you are on set,
you have no option but to be open and forthright. We all accepted each other for right where we were at, which is an incredibly beautiful thing to feel. We learned what a healthy collaboration looks like throughout the making of this film. In
terms of industry, we have learned so much about different aspects of the filmmaking process. We
are currently learning about distribution and financing for our next script, which is a big piece of the puzzle.

get to where he needs to be and he can instantly change the mood of a set by just how he acts. Specifically for me, he brought the sadness out of me in some of the scenes. I feel like being with

this. I was also lucky because I also got to talk to Jamie a lot about what his experience was like and I really relied on him as a storyteller. I asked
him for everything, because I knew this was his story and I wanted to make sure that I told it right.
So I relied a lot on him. He gave me everything I needed.
In what ways did this film change your guys’ perspective?

Was this the first time you guys met? How did you work on your on-screen chemistry?

firsthand about his experience. With Stay Awake, a movie about the caretakers rather than the
addict, that’s something I hadn’t really thought about before. In the media, or film and television, they don’t cover that side. How much you can
care for someone and deeply love them until it consumes your life, then where do you draw the
line? A lot of what I learned you’ll also learn when you see the movie.
Fin: For me, It is a great reminder that while remaining patient is important, it is sometimes
the best option to establish hard boundaries. For anyone out there whose loved one is experiencing
addiction, it is OKAY to take space and time for yourself. It is up to you to heal yourself and put
yourself first even though it may be hard. I believe in you.
and then we found out we lived in the same state and around the same area, so we met up at a
restaurant and we just talked for hours and we got along really well. Fin: Took us all but five minutes to realize how much we had in common. Actors,

Wyatt: So that was the beginning of our friendship. What comes next? Wyatt: Well, I’m about to go to New York to shoot
an AppleTV+ show called City on Fire for four months and I’m really excited for it.
Fin: I’ve been in New Orleans the past six months filming a re-imagination of Queer as Folk. The characters are vibrant and so full of life. I’ve
