L I V I N G V I L L AG E The Choctaw Living Village’s mound is inspired by Nvnih Waiya – the Choctaw ceremonial mound in Mississippi. This mound illustrates the monumental and sophisticated architectural relationship between the Choctaw people and Mother Earth. Guests can walk near the mound as they explore Choctaw dwellings, interact with village demonstrations and participate in various activities, including stickball, basketry and agriculture.

The exhibitions highlight a journey through Choctaw history and culture. Guests will experience Choctaw stories through a series of immersive environments featuring ancient artifacts, modern technologies and interactive experiences. From the historical origins of the Choctaw people to the future brimming with possibility, the exhibits will leave guests awed, inspired and hopeful.

Guests can participate in various cultural classes, programs and demonstrations. Topics include Choctaw history, song, dance, art and ecology, to name a few. These programs help guests make meaningful, life-long memories.
