When you visit downtown Chickasha, you cannot help but notice a 50-foot-tall leg lamp - yes, like the leg lamp in the holiday classic “A Christmas Story.” This permanent fiberglass fixture was added to the downtown park in November 2022 as a nod to the college professor who is said to have created the original prototype lamp on which the movie lamp was based. The leg lamp is available year-round for photos and even lights up at night.
