This gives them a model to follow as they grow to become healthy individuals, nurtured in the context of that family. Such wonderful possibilities we can't explore in depth, but all the way back to the beginning, in the Book of Genesis, God laid out this plan, and Jesus, throughout his public ministry, his teachings, affirmed that plan that existed from the beginning. He fulfilled it on the Cross, enabling us to live as Adam and Eve lived before the fall. Their lives were filled with gifts. Their wills were informed by their God-given intellects instead of, as it is now, our wills inform our intellect. I want this; I want that. Whether or not we recognize intellectually what is good for us, we sometimes make bad decisions because of our fallen nature. The Lord teaches us if we live in relationship with him in poverty of spirit as a vulnerable disciple, if we’re a prayerful person each day, sharing our concerns, opening ourselves, allowing Jesus to pour graces into our hearts, then we will be instructed. We will be given the gifts that enable us to live out Christ's life today in this complex world and to reflect Jesus to all whom we encounter.

Our Deepest Sympathy Our parish family mourns the loss of our parishioner Marie Augustine. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

THIS WEEKEND

Dear Families, The Diocese of Greensburg is undertaking a massive effort to listen to a broad range of people throughout our faith community and to discuss major issues together with a goal of hearing where the Holy Spirit is calling the Church. These efforts include a pastoral connectivity survey and a series of both inperson and virtual town hall meetings, at which Bishop Larry J. Kulick will be present. Bishop Kulick is asking our young people, especially children and young adults to kindly take the 3 minute survey below as part of the Synodal process. Parents, we appreciate your assistance in helping them take the survey if necessary. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DioGBGSynod To learn more about the Synodal process or to register to attend a virtual town hall listening session, please www.dioceseofgreensburg.org/synod.
