As we approach the Holiday Season, I wanted to take this opportunity on behalf of the entire staff to wish you and your families Happy Holidays. Hopefully everyone gets to spend time with friends and families during the Holiday Season. Each year Members participate in The Gallery’s Employee Holiday Fund. Please find a link here for more information on how to participate. This fund is 100% distributed to Gallery employees and is very much appreciated by the staff who work throughout the year to make The Gallery a special club. I am pleased to announce Devin Pinto has joined The Gallery team as our Executive Chef. Devin brings a wealth of culinary knowledge and will continue to elevate the Members' experience at The Gallery. He will be starting on December 26th with his first Member event being New Years Eve dinner. Devin is creating a delicious menu which will be released to the Membership shortly. THE GOLF CLUB AT DOVE MOUNTAIN DOVE MOUNTAIN UPDATE Matt Nuechterlein
Good Day Members, We are so excited for another fun-filled Holiday Season at the club! We are extremely grateful and thankful for all your support as we head into the busier season. The team is excited to be hosting our annual Holiday Party on Friday, December 8th! The golf shop will have plenty of great holiday gift ideas and incredible discounts for Members to choose from. The Saguaro Renovation Project is moving along nicely. At this point, all the Saguaro greens have been seeded with our new variety of Bent grass. We have laser leveled and sodded all the tee boxes as well as all the new green approaches. The construction team is finishing up some final touches on the bunker complexes and our team in house is continuing with the desert vegetation clearing project. Our team is very excited about the future of the Saguaro nine and can’t wait to have Members playing it in 2024! We hope you all have enjoyed the walk-&-talk videos online and we look forward to some hard-hat tours with you all as soon as the construction team departs in January.

Dear Gallery Members, I hope everyone had a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving with family and friends! The start of the season is off to a fast start, with us conducting the Fall Bash and La Pareja in the month of November. I would like to thank all of those who participated in our first two events, we appreciate it. We had a fantastic Couples Kickoff on December 3rd with 72 Members participating! Congratulations goes out to John & Cathy Line and Michael & Amy Myers for taking the win. We are looking forward to a great weekend with The Compadre Men’s Member-Member.

As we head into our busy season, the Professional Staff will be conducting weekly Golf Clinics. These clinics will cover a wide variety of topics; putting, chipping/pitching, bunker play, short irons, long irons/hybrids and fairway woods/drivers. These clinics will be posted on ForeTees in the coming days, so please be on the look-out! AGRONOMY AGRONOMY UPDATE, THE GALLERY GOLF CLUB Mark Soto
Dear Members, The month of December will have our agronomy team focusing on several projects and operations to better prepare our courses for the winter months. Efforts to clear site-lines are in progress on both the North and South Courses. Our goal is to complete this within the first two weeks of the month. Once completed, we will begin work on walk-paths. Our mowing height of cut on our fairways, tees and approaches will continue to be lowered until we are at approximately .500 or slightly lower. Foliar fertility applications of iron and nitrogen will continue through the month to maintain the beautiful green color of our ryegrass crop. To help strengthen the plant in anticipation of colder evening temperatures, we will include a foliar carbon source and additional carbohydrates with our regular spray mixtures. Poa annua management will begin during the first week of December with the first of 3 scheduled applications of a product called Musketeer.

This product is a plant growth regulator (PGR) designed to suppress poa annua while enhancing the quality of both our ryegrass crop and our bentgrass greens surfaces. These applications will occur on 21-day intervals. As a reminder, with colder evening temperatures we will likely experience frost delays. Our team will do our best to mitigate the length of each frost delay and get our members on the courses as quickly as possible without damaging our turf. The holiday season is upon us here on Dove Mountain and I want to wish everyone a Happy Holidays in case I do not get to see you before the end of the year. Anyone who knows me knows that this is my favorite time of the year, not just because of the magical feeling of the holiday season but also because some of my favorite member events happen during November and December! This past month we had some very exciting member events and we look forward to even more in the month of December. Below is a breakdown of our events from November along with the upcoming schedule of events in December. 2023 Women’s Member/Member - November 4th Congratulations to Adele Arakawa & Mary Kay Mosch on winning the 2023 Women’s Member-Member this year! The runner-up team was Eve McDermott and Kim Klippstein. Thank you to the golf staff and restaurant staff for a remarkable event for our lady members. We had one of our largest fields ever for the event and the weather was perfect for it. We look forward to an even bigger field next season! 2023 Men’s Member/Member - November 10th & 11th We hosted our Men’s Member-Member November 10th and 11th with the largest field ever at the Club. Members enjoyed a great couple of days on the golf course, a lot of fantastic Club camaraderie, and a great lunch buffet after golf. Congrats to our winners- Doug Rikkers & Kent Gross (1st Flight) and Ken McAdam & Pat Watkins (2nd Flight)! Thanks to all our team members who played a part in providing a great Member experience for the participants.

Thank you to everyone who participated and took the time to spend a day with our staff. Congrats to the winning team of Keenan Holt, Jim Wright, Pat Lucey, Rich Anemone, and Kent Gross! These events are so much fun and we hope to continue them into the Spring. These fill up very quickly so be sure to sign up early. Heaven & Hell – November 18th We had over 44 Members participate in this annual event this year. Although it was scaled back due to the course renovations we still had a great time with our members and look forward to more of this event in the future! As we head into December our temperatures get cooler! We are staying busy here at the Sports Club! Just a reminder, we have grab & go items behind the front counter for purchase. The Sports Club’s front desk number has changed to (520) 579-4135. Please call this number to speak directly to our front desk for any assistance you may need. Please note that the sign in time for ForeTees changed as of October 1st. Instead of 1:00am, the time you can now sign up for classes is now at noon.
We had over 30 people for our Turkey Trot – it was quite a success!! Thank you to all that participated and all the staff that worked that morning!
