INTERVIEW 1. Why do you want to study in the USA? "Being a naturally driven person I flourish in a competitive environment and this opportunity will allow me to play my given sport at a much higher level than what is currently played in South Africa, all while getting a quality education in the home of baseball.” 2. If you weren’t a baseball player what would you be? I would still like to be involved in the sport in some form, being an umpire and coach (even little league) . However to do this I would still need a quality education to be able to follow these dreams as dreams don't pay for themselves, that is why the quality education part for me is very important part. Interesting Facts • I have already umpired U12 to Major level in South Africa, • I play softball at school and at provincial level within South Africa having got full school colours for soft ball. • I am a highly driven person and I will always find a way to succeed even in the face of insurmountable obstacles, I never give up. • I like assisting people in achieving their dreams ( coaching has helped me with this ) as I love seeing the underdog succeed in games and in life.
