HELLO
As we enter into the more seasonal and holiday fun-filled months, I begin to feel the craziness of this year melt away. Wow!! Have we been through A LOT! I do not even care to think about it all. I am however, thankful that God was with us and protected us from all the things that have been released to destroy this year. I am thankful that he protected you and that he will continue to do so. That is one of my favorite things about being a believer is that I receive the protection of the Lord. There is none greater in all the world. And even if God decides it is my time to go, I have the assurance that I will wake up in Heaven on the other side. There are a lot of people that do not have that assurance and that peace. If you are one of them, you can receive it today. Feel free to reach out to me and I can walk you through accepting Christ and gaining his peace in this life and the one to come.

Karissa Hagemeister-Irani is on a life long journey to share love, beauty and truth with the world. She enjoys modeling, acting and singing. She has her own fashion line and in July of 2016, Karissa published her first book. Her future plans are to revamp the fashion & entertainment industry with the love, truth and beauty through both her fashion business and Beautiful & Dauntless magazine. Editor-in-Chief of the Dauntless section of the magazine, Arman Irani, married Karissa in June of 2019.

Arman Irani is just another fellow human. He’s admittedly a little bit nerdy. How nerdy? Well, he just received a Bachelors degree in Nanotechnology. Arman loves working out, cooking healthy, dressing up, traveling and he’s also a bit of a gamer. He has no qualms with moving in faith to new destinations and embarking on new adventures in life (as the phrase goes, you only live once!). When it comes down to it, Arman believes life is short and hopes that you become inspired and believe in yourself to do the things that you want in this life and follow your calling.

Arnette German is a native of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She took her leap of faith and finally decided to yield to her passion for fashion by enrolling in the online Graduate Program of Fashion Journalism at Academy Art University in San Francisco, California. No stranger to the stage, Arnette is a member of the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in Sarasota, Florida. Presently calling Bradenton, Florida home, Arnette spends her free time either volunteering at her local church and spending time with friends and family, especially her best friend. Arnette is a foodie and a lover of nature and the arts. Life is definitely, in some shape or form and fashion, being lived to the fullest.

Loyalty, nowadays, seems to be one of the many “ancient” character traits absent from today’s society- as well as integrity, tactfulness, empathy, respectfulness and couth. Daily, their omittance is painfully noticeable when we “tune in ‘’ to our various news outlets and regrettably see our current events wreak of ignorance, trivialness, guileless, egocentricity, bullying and lack of compassion. Sadly, placed value, nor honor or respect is no longer regarded for sound support of an established relationship... you know...Loyalty. For how society is moving now...no longer speaking on the importance of guarding those who have proven themselves by standing with you (and/or parents/family) in spite of, indefinitely confirms that society (Man) has no moral compass. But, there’s a desperate need for Thee One that “sticks closer than any brother or friend” that lets you know continually, “I got your back,” > Christ.

I got your back,” is a covenant promise of Loyalty that is permanent through an established relationship with Him. Being the creator of principle, order, relationship and truth, Christ’s word is sure. In spite of what we see or face, you are not going through it alone. He’s in sync with you with every step saying, “I got your back.” And, in His loyalty, comes with a “package deal” for you (to name a few): of trust, peace, sweet rest and most importantly... protection. Case in point, in Psalms 121:3, the Amplified Bible version confirms Christ’s loyalty as infinite as, “He will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.” Christ’s faithfulness in reassuring, “I got your back,” subtracts rest from the algorithm for loyalty and protection for Him. Now, that is loyalty, protection and authentic love at its finest that needs to be revered and pressed upon for this season of your life; especially as the Coronavirus is a real occurrence in the making of history right now. So, regardless of what circumstances or situations have warranted us, nothing can nor will overtake you because Christ raises up a hedge of protection for you. Therefore, whatever should have or could have happened...didn’t. Why? Because in His wisdom, timing, knowing, power and loyalty, Christ knows when to carry, move, lift, thrust, propel, shield and/or cover you. That’s what makes Him who He is - a protector. And, a good one at that. One who is forever on post...wide awake...proving and saying, “I got your back!”

By Karissa Hagemeister-Irani One of the deepest desires for a woman is to know she is safe and to feel protected. Oftentimes we look for men or other people to fill that desire. We want safety, especially during uncertain times like the ones we have experienced this year. We want to know that everything is going to be okay. That we will have a place to live. A roof over our heads. But man and humankind in general cannot assure us of any of those things. Another person cannot promise you safety from harm. They cannot promise that you will always have a house to live in or that nothing bad will ever happen to you. We cannot promise any of that for ourselves, let alone another human life. In all my life, I have experienced many seasons where I did not feel safe. Some of those seasons lasted for years and others were much shorter. I can tell you that during those seasons I felt the most protected when I kept my focus on God. The fear and the worry would leave. I knew that God would be with me no matter what. Did he keep me safe during those scary and hard times? YES!!! Yes he did. He did not allow any harm to come my way. God is true to His Word (the Bible). Many times over it speaks of his protection for your life. Those verses should be read aloud over you and your family daily.

Will bad things happen? Yes, because there is much evil in this world. Can God protect you? Yes he can and he will. There will be times when bad things will happen, there will be times when people will pass on from this life. You will eventually move on into eternity. Unfortunately, all of that is a part of living here on Earth. But while you are on Earth, you can look to God as your protector. You can look to him for safety. You can look to the Holy Spirit for comfort. You can look forward to living in complete safety and protection in Heaven. Read about the apostle Paul’s life in the New Testament. See how he was treated badly as he shared the Good News of Jesus and God still protected him. The Bible is filled with God’s mighty and powerful acts, protecting those that love him and serve him. Wars were won because God was on their side. Evil rulers were destroyed because God was on their side. What have we to fear if God is on our side? Better yet, what shall we fear when we are on God’s side? NOTHING!! Be uplifted my beautiful friends and remember whose side you are on. Read these verses on the next page over yourself and your family.

Pumpkin Scones Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose gluten free flour 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 and 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, room temp. 1/3 cup + 2 Tablespoons heavy cream, divided 1 large egg 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree 1/2 cup light brown sugar 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Maple Glaze 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter 1/3 cup pure maple syrup 1 cup sifted confectioners’ sugar

Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F . Adjust the baking rack to the middle-low position. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or use silicone baking mat(s). 2. Make the scones: Whisk the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt together in a large bowl. Add the butter to the mixture and set aside. 3. Whisk 1/3 cup of the heavy cream, the egg, pumpkin, brown sugar, and vanilla extract together in a small bowl. Drizzle it over the flour mixture and then mix it all together until everything appears moistened. 4. With floured hands, work the dough into a ball as best you can and transfer onto a floured work surface. Press and cut into 8 equal wedges. 5. Place scones at least 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet(s). Using a pastry brush, brush scones with remaining heavy cream and sprinkle with coarse sugar, if desired. 6. Bake the scones for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes as you prepare the icing. 7. Make the glaze: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and maple syrup together, stirring occasionally. Once the butter has melted, remove from heat and whisk in the sifted confectioners’ sugar. Drizzle over warm scones.

Walnut Banana Bread Ingredients 1 1/4 cups all-purpose gluten free flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon fine salt 2 large eggs 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for preparing the pan 1 cup sugar 3 very ripe bananas (peeled and mashed) 1/2 cup walnut pieces

Instructions: Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt into a medium bowl, set aside. Whisk the eggs and vanilla together in another bowl and set aside. Prepare the loaf pan with butter or oil on the sides and bottom. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix the butter and sugar together (with a mixer) until light and fluffy. Gradually pour the egg mixture into the butter while mixing until fully mixed. Add the bananas (the mixture will appear to be lumpy, so don’t worry). With a spatula, mix the flour mixture with the batter. After it is mixed well, pour it into the prepared pan. Add the walnut pieces on top of the batter. Bake for 55 minutes to an hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean. Cool the bread in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Turn the bread out of the pan and let cool completely on the rack. Wrap in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.

Time is flying this year… crazy to think, it feels like just the other day all this Covid19 stuff started happening. I remember I just started working back at Disney again, made it 3 days, covid19 happened and I got furloughed… oh well guess it’s all part of God’s plan. Well, the good news is we are all His children and the believers are protected and taken care of. Sometimes we may complain or yearn for things of the flesh only to later find out God was protecting us from getting what we thought we wanted. I know many times Abba has corrected me and I’m happy he did otherwise I’d be in some messed up situations with people I didn’t necessarily love. God is always with us and always wants the best for us… but we must listen and stay obedient to him. Not only does Jesus look out for us physically he also does so spiritually, in the unseen world we go through on the daily. He is an amazing God, the Alpha and Omega, knowing things that we will never comprehend unless he wants us too and just wanting a relationship with us. Although, sometimes we may be attacked or get into situations we shouldn’t and things happen that we think God should have stepped in to protect us or keep us from harm etc... Remember that God’s ways and thoughts are above our ways. Unfortunately, as humans we can’t fathom the various possibilities that can occur in an instant… We are just starting to understand 58

quantum physics and still stand in bewilderment as we learn new things in that field. We are not gods, so don’t let the great deceiver fool you into thinking we can be more than what God has created us to be. So with all that being said remember, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it,” (1 Corinthians 10:13). As a Dauntless man, I command you “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6). Don’t be fooled for lack of knowledge but instead stay with God’s word daily. I promise you, he will speak to you in one way or another just be patient, listen and be open to hearing from Jesus. “Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you,” (Proverbs 2:11). We live in a fallen world full of sin, negative paths and spirits waiting to take you off the course Abba has planned for your soul. The good thing is we serve an amazing God and no matter how off course you may go Jesus is still waiting for you to call out to him. Repent and ask for him to work his way back into your life. With him and the Holy Spirit in your life, the only thing limiting you from a God-fulfilled life is yourself. Stay strong, stay courageous and stay Dauntless!

DAUN LESS I pray all of you are keeping well and safe. I know times are crazy and if you are awake, the divide is getting clearer and clearer day by day! Know that your Bible is not just a physical tool but also a spiritual twoedged sword that can be used for protection from the many spiritual things that occur daily. Learn to tap into the Word on the daily just like you do your insta, facebook and various other social handles. Grow your roots deep in the Word so you’re not swayed by others’ opinions but the Truth of the Lord Yeshua… our one and only King. Know that we are always protected and only God knows the true time of our death. God is the only one that allows anything to happen to us for testing to increase our Faith. Testing is not fun, I will be the first to admit that and sometimes we may think that evil is the better route. However, remember that God is righteous and all who don’t want to know his son Jesus will not enjoy their eternity. God will keep his children (us) protected these days and till the end. Will we face troubles and trials like everyone else?… Yes we will but just like Job was protected and taken care of so shall we be. So moving forward dear children of God don’t let worry, fear or anxiety plague your minds and your lives for our God has given us the Holy Spirit which brings about love, peace and joy. Trust in the Lord always in all you do. Keep his commandments written on your heart and stay close to him: the mighty fortress. As always: Stay Strong, Stay Dauntless, Stay Blessed.
