What’s On | From December 2023

Hallelujah! Sister Act is coming to Brighton

Welcome to Theatre Royal Brighton I want to take this chance to introduce myself as your new Theatre Director. I look forward to getting to know our wonderful audience and sharing with you all the exciting shows and projects we have coming up in the near future. Following our summer of planned closure, our restoration project continues in January as we carry on restoring our beautiful building while enhancing our customer experience. Whilst most completed improvements to date have taken place behind the scenes, we hope you are enjoying our newly renovated Royal Circle toilets (with a 50% increase of facilities in the ladies!) and the improved Wi-Fi system. Meanwhile, the restoration of our venue façade continues as a specialist team work hard to bring back the balcony and its columns to their original splendour. Fun facts; the Colonnade is 36m long with 850 unique parts, made of handcrafted terracotta, which is being made in Loughborough! Thank you for your continued understanding during this time; I hope you are as excited as we are to see the end result. We are delighted to present our new season What’s On guide with a whole host of shows on offer, from exciting drama to sparkling musicals and fun-filled family shows. We look forward to welcoming you to Theatre Royal Brighton soon.

Sophie Denney, Theatre Director

We are delighted to welcome you to our venue, where we want everyone to enjoy the show. With that in mind, we politely ask that you show consideration to your fellow audience members, who have come to enjoy the performances on-stage. We all have a part to play in making sure the theatre is a fantastic experience for all – you can help by ensuring the professionals on-stage are the only people entertaining us with their performances, and being kind to our dedicated staff, who are here to keep everyone safe. Anti-social behaviour towards our staff or other customers will not be tolerated. Theatre Director, Sophie Denney.

Make the most of your visit Our Ambassador Lounge is the ideal way to make your theatre visit even more special. Packages start at £20 including a glass of fizz and a dedicated member of bar staff in this exclusive experience. We have bars on every level offering customers the chance to enjoy a drink or snack during their visit. Or why not try our Delivered At Seat ordering service? Choose from our delicious range of drinks, ice cream, snacks and sweet treats from the At-Seat menus and everything will be delivered to your seat. See our website or in venue for more information.
